I’m not normally one for reviews, but when you visit a hotel that has provided what this delightful place has, it is needed! We stayed for 6 nights through the new year, the check in was as quick and welcoming as I’d hoped. Me and my partner ordered ourselves 2 Stella after a long travel on a coach, let’s say it hit the spot! After maybe the third.. fourth.. fifth? I lost count… they had memorised our faces and what we drank (not sure whether to be happy or embarrassed of the fact), through the stay they were pretty much pulled for us on arrival to the bar! Beyond Excellent service from all bar staff. The room was refreshed daily and two cans of water (I know right, cans!) replenished daily. Bed made, the usual brilliant standard you expected. The actual lounge/bar area was brilliant. With us being huge darts fans we saw every dart before it was even thrown on the huge projector! We didn’t really leave the hotel much, other than later on at night for a few more beers! The food was next level, The chef, who was recently new we were told from one of the lovely managers, exceeded our expectations! The fish and chips and chicken blt were amazing! Highly recommended to try out. Overall the layout of the hotel, the rooms and staff were all you’d want in a break away, close to anything you desire to do. Shopping, canal street, so many food options and PLENTY of awesome bars. Overall I 100% recommend the voco and will be back in June!! :)

Everything was brilliant.

Excellent facilities, modern decor, friendly staff and good location.

There was some confusion surrounding car parking despite me ringing before visiting to confirm that I would receive 25% discount at their recommended car park. Unfortunately when I arrived I was informed that this was not the case and that I should have been informed that I needed to book the car parking place in advance to qualify for the discount. The staff were friendly and helpful at reception but feel that I should have been told the correct information when I rang earlier that morning and as a result I had to pay the full price for car parking which at £35 for a single night I thought was expensive.

The location of the hotel was perfect for central Manchester, staff helpful and kind.

The breakfast "managers" were not very helpful at all, in fact whist younger staff were running around like headless chickens the managers did very little. When I approached a manager to ask for some Decaf tea, he said they didn't have any and there was no option for decaf coffee either. However the following day a member of staff (not a manager) quickly found a great big box of decaf tea in a cupboard - why are they not out for folk to use. As a person allergic to caffeine, I had less choice then anyone else.

On arrival day the hotel had no running water because of some broken pipeline, however the staff was really nice and polite about explaining that to us and offered us some options but we decided that we only wanted to stay at this hotel (not move to another property) so we just took a walk downtown and the water was on again in the afternoon. First room we got had a broken heating system so again we spoke to the staff if they could take a look at that and in the end we were moved to another room and everything was good after that. Excellent service. Good breakfast and nice and comfortable lounge area.

Lack of Communication, when we booked in, there was no explanation regarding a £50 deposit, I know a lot of hotels take this but I only found out when I got notification from my bank. We weren't told the times of breakfast and there was nothing in the room regarding this. Also about breakfast I hate buffet style help yourself, the lights that the food is under DOES NOT keep the food hot it bearly keeps it warm, saying that, there was plenty of choice.

I liked the big screen, was good watching the match. The room was great, really enjoyed my sleep. Ollie on reception, had a nice chat with him when we got there as we had to drop off our bags and head off for the day. He also handled this loud drunk guy who was watching the match with class, better than I would have handled it. Bar staff on the Saturday night we stayed were really chatty & had a good laugh with them, decided to stay & drink in the hotel cause of them

Nothing bad to say about the property. The really loud obnoxious drunk guy who was such a nuisance, only loud person in the entire lower floor. Who when asked to lower his voice got aggressive with the receptionist & then went up to him again threatening him about his job

This is a neat, clean and quite hotel in a location which is about 7-10 mins walk to the main shopping area and Arndale mall. we appreciated the easy and quick check in and check out process, friendly n helpfull staff. A small grocery shop and halal fast food place right across the road was good for late night snacks.

eventhough reception staff were excellent in their welcome and interaction, we were told that breakfast is included in the price. when I came down next morning starving and looking forward to breakfast, I was told breakfast was not included. secondly the hotel doesn't have a parking space infront for taxis so some taxis stop on the road and people have to quickly jump out or they stop in the lane next to the hotel.

I loved the location of the hotel and also the aesthetics of it. Very modern and very warm and cosy feeling to it. Very safe security on the door. Beds were to die for and the room was gorgeous loved the bathroom and the shower. Also the little terrace area was very nice.

It's quite difficult to get through to reception from the phones in the room they don't answer, also while we were there the water was gone in the hotel so we were unable to shower, wash our hands, brush our teeth. Even flushing the toilet was a no go so that wasn't great.

Brilliant location and amazing service. We came to VOCO manchester to celebrate our anniversary. We chose the queen room and upon arrival the hotel had provided us with a couple of cakes in the room and happy anniversary written in chocolate sauce on the plate. An amazing touch! The room was spacious with all the necessary items you would need including kettle, iron, hairdryer. The bathroom was spacious with a walk in shower. The view was amazing, we stayed on the 6th floor at the front of the building so we overlooked the main street outside.

The shower was hard to control the temperature and the head kept falling out of the holder Blinds felt like they were going to come off the window when opening and closing, just had to be extra gentle

Lovely hotel ! Rooms were lovely and specious!

We booked a room with separate beds as we were travelling as friends but the hotel didn’t have the room we booked available (luckily there was one spare room which was out of service which we were able to use) but not a great start to the trip! The manager kindly offered us a complimentary drink and didn’t rush us when we had to move rooms the day after . The breakfast also wasn’t the best , especially for the price we paid!
