On arriving the staff was very helpful and made me very welcome. The bedroom was clean and a good size. The pool staff were also very friendly and the pool and sauna was great.

Unfortunately the breakfast staff were very rude. I was led to my table and told someone would be with me shortly. However after several minutes I asked a waitress and was sharply told to wait a minute. More time passed and so I got up and found someone to ask for a breakfast. No questions on any extras, sauce nothing. Unfortunately I wasn’t the only person who waited. A lady on the next table still hadn’t been seen even after I got my breakfast. It wasn’t overly busy so I cannot see why no one came to see me. If I hadn’t of got up I would have been late for my appointment. Some of the lockers in the pool changing rooms are broken. And no explanation or poster on how to use.

Great reception on arrival, and the hotel and room are very clean and 'neat'. The only meal I had was breakfast, which was served quickly and was excellent.

Parking! For the number of rooms the available parking is nowhere near adequate. I had to park in the 'pay & display' down the hill. It's not far, but it's fortunate I don't have any mobility issues as if so it could cause a problem as the hill, while short, is relatively steep.

Lovely clean and tidy room which was to be expected, tea coffee etc topped up every day, cleaners very friendly, polite and always smiling and welcoming. Breakfast served between 7.30 til 10.40 lots of variety to choose from cereals, pancakes toast and a few cooked options. The one spa facilities which was included in our price were clean and tidy the only disappointment was it was also used by the public so some days it was busy.

Although the breakfast was very nice with a variety to chose from we found it quite frustrating as we just got our cerial, tea/coffee sat down and was approached to order a cooked variety, would of liked to of finished first, also most of the staff were very friendly and polite except for one or two that seemed a bit abrupt and pushy. There was two spa s one which was included in the price ( also used by the public) but if you wanted to use the other one ( which I think was being used by guests staying which we were) there was a charge of £40 per person for two hours only which I think was a bit pricey. I don’t think we should pay they should operate a booking system.

Spa, gym and pool facilities were great! We didn't eat at the hotel in the evening but the food options looked very good. Breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice, only thing it was missing was a little continental section, which being in Cornwall and their focus on locality seems like a misstep. Room was clean, it and bathroom were a bit dinky.

Most of the staff were lovely but some gave the attitude that they'd rather not be there and they'd rather you weren't there either.

Nice modern facilities. Accommodation split over three buildings. Spa looked nice although we didn’t use. Nice pool with sauna and steam room. Well equipped gym but very busy.

Resort is quite hilly. Could be an issue for less able bodied. Limited parking available. Nice breakfasts but evening menu very limited. Menu didn’t change all week. Should have sandwiches snacks available. Large luxury king room with separate lounge area was nice but room could do with small fridge for water/milk etc. Plenty of staff around but not very organised. Long waits for tea and coffee in the morning.

How relaxed the whole experience was. The teabags were exceptional and tasted amazing. Also very grateful for the waitress managing to squeeze us in to restaurant at late notice, unfortunately was unable to book due to not knowing when my partner would be home from work.

When we had our meal in the evening, we experienced the manager getting quite cross with member of staff. I understand it can be quite stressful when busy but customers should not be able to witness this. One minor thing though? Bedding and dressing gowns were quite stiff and could do with a bit of fabric conditioner on them.

We enjoyed the relaxed,friendly atmosphere. Our dog was also welcomed. Room was very clean and comfortable and linen of a very high quality. Elemis products available in the bathrooms, were loved and appreciated by all my party Breakfast was a feast indeed. The choices available were excellent including freshly cooked pancakes, local breads and plenty of tea and coffee. I particularly liked the many areas around the ground floor where comfortable, relaxed seating was available to spend free time. The accessible reception area was real bonus with efficient knowledgeable staff.

Onsite parking would have been preferred althought the roadside parking at night was secure and obviously free. I had to climb over my bed to open the windows which wasn't great but at least the windows could be opened!

Very good breakfast and ALL the staff from the front desk, to the bar to room service to the pool were excellent ! Also enjoyed a swim in the pool and thought the arrangements of lockers and towels was very good. View from the Breakfast Area down to the beach/sea is superb. Hotel is in a good location, next to beach, roads were quiet and town is very walkable.

Room: As it was a special occasion, I paid extra for a balcony and expected a sea view. Instead my view was looking out onto the roof and air conditioning of the lower level. If you stood on tip toes, you could just see the sea. Also, they left the chairs padding out in the rain, so when we arrived and the rain stopped, it was pointless trying to sit on the balcony anyway. The room above/flooring also creaked continuously as those guests walked around - which was not great for sleeping. Car Park was reduced in size due to work taking place which was not ideal. Hotel Menu was not to our liking, so we went into town for our meal.

Loved the health club, great team and good facilities to use whilst staying. The bar area, locker room and staff there were fab and really friendly and efficient with drink prices really reasonable. Room size was really good but needed a freshen up as looked tired in places but appreciated the little extras such as teas and toiletries

Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. Staff looked too busy so no sliced fresh fruit, ran out of orange juice and limited selection on other things when we arrived. Maybe poor timing but the team looked frazzled and were not very welcoming.

The facilities at St Michaels were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the gym and swimming pool across the car park and the buffet breakfast in the morning was brilliant. We were only a short walk from the town centre and it was nice to have the beach on our door step. The rooms were a decent size (we stayed in a cosy double) and the tea and biscuits that were provided in the room was a nice added extra.

As we were right next to the beach, it would have been nice to have the option to take some towels down to the beach. It also would have been nice to have a fridge in the room to keep some drinks cool.
