Beautiful clean hotel, clean rooms, great location, amazing views! Loved this hotel and the concept. Was great for working - good WiFi and desk. Convenient to have a washing machine and kitchen for long stays too. The bed was super comfortable! The coworking space was gorgeous too! The pool area and restaurant were beautiful and staff very friendly.

Too few chairs by the pool for that size of a hotel and people would rudely put things on the sun loungers at 7am but not come and use them for an hour or 2 after. Annoyed me. There should be some kind of reservation system or something. Also, 4pm check in is ridiculous. Latest I’ve ever seen.

The staff are the best thing about this hotel, hands down! They were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. Pedro at reception helped us to move to a different room with no hassle at all, and even helped to carry our luggage across. Room was very clean (brand new when we stayed there) and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our own food. 2 supermarkets within a 2 minute walk which is handy. Also had a washing machine. Well designed (but cosy) space. Location is nice, a little out of town but easily walkable to the centre (10-15 minute walk).

Very noisy induction vent in the kitchen. Room felt a lot smaller than expected and the photos portrayed (we stayed in an open plan suite). Very busy pool area and a tiny pool (there were no free beds every time we walked past it). Air con wasn't very powerful. We weren't aware you had to request for your room to be cleaned, didn't get fresh towels or housekeeping for majority of our stay.

Room felt smaller than 23 square meters, also the bed looked small as well. Was no wardrobe so was literally no single hanger for clothes in the room

After reviewing many hotels online, the reviews on this one is what sold me and I'm glad I made the right decision. They have only been open since July, which adds to the aesthetics meeting you on arrival to their living room style lobby. Location location location. Yards from the Marques de Pombal metro, accessible to get you to any place in and around the city, 3 stops away from the popular Baixa/Chiado area for dining and shopping, and can catch the #28 tram, a must. A 24 hr train/bus/tram ticket cost 6+ euros and is worth it if you plan to get out and around. Locke de Santa Joana staff is friendly, cheerful and willing to help to answer your questions and concerns. Cityview suite/room. Love that the room had all the kitchen amenities to meet my needs. Beautiful hotel, open space and layout of the courtyard. Vietnamese restaurant next to hotel is very good. Take a right from the hotel and 2 blocks away is a mini supermarket to purchase groceries etc if you have a suite . Suite comes with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, plates, glasses, utensils, stove, table/2chairs, chaise/chair. Only thing missing was a microwave.

Not sure why the water during the shower would escape and wet up the floor/shower mat after each shower. Bathroom is small but meets your needs. A slight lingering odor in bathroom, could be the drain, wasn't sure. Reported the A/C was blowing warm and the odor. Maintenance took care of the AC same day , the odor however remained, but it didn't impact my stay negatively in any way. Overall the hotel deserves 5 stars for checking all my boxes, and I most likely will be a return guest.

For a 7 night stay the room wasn’t cleaned even once, not even clean towels were offered, when we arrived they told us that the cleaning will be done mid stay but when we asked the staff they told us that they do cleaning for stays longer than 7 nights. You have a washing machine in the room but no place to dry the laundry (bed sheets) Not even trash was taken out during the whole stay, they did told us that the concept of their hotel is to feel like home but that is not possible to do on your own. There is not enough sunbeds by the pool

Brand new hotel, very clean and on an excellent location. The room was very beautiful and comfortable. I loved it had a kitchen with stove, oven, fridge and washing machine for clothes. Staff were generally very polite and helpful including Claudia and Paulo the Manager. There were a couple of issues that we addressed and got resolved immediately and satisfactorily. Being a brand new hotel, only three months in operation they did very good job. The location was very strategic, very close to a metro station, Continente supermarket and some good restaurants. A Europcar office was on the same street, only a two minute walk, we rented a car from there. Our stay was too short that we didn’t have enough time to explore and use its facilities. We used two rooms, stayed for three nights first and came back for another night after our stay in Algarve.

The reception area was crowded with some potted plants, and with its low ceiling the area looked cramped. As soon as we entered it, we got the impression that it was a small hotel while in fact it was a big one. I gave a suggestion to a staff upon checking out to rearrange the plants and sofas to make the area look spacious and more inviting. The hotel building is big, the receptionist area should look grandeur.

Location, facilities, excellent bar and restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. The pool area was nice also. Super hotel and one of the best we’ve stayed in for a city break.

Our room (D214) did not have enough hanging/storage (drawer) space. Only one small wardrobe where the hanging drop was insufficient for a dress so we had to relocate the ironing board to use that space. In the end we hung what we could but in the main had to live out of our suitcases. In the end the table in the seating area was covered with other items so the room was very untidy. Also, the rug in the seating area clashed with the door of the bathroom so every time you opened the bathroom door, it caught the rug and rucked it up causing a trip hazard. Finally the tea station was too small and irrelevant for us as no milk products so we bought some milk but it didn’t last long due to no cold storage.

Hotel was in a great place, it was really easy to commute to different places. Grocerystores and some restaurants were close as well. Staff was super nice, we got a little surprise for our honeymoon and also birthday which was during our stay. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed!

At times every day, there was strange and strong smell of smoke every now and then. I don’t believe it was cigarettes but something else. Another thing I wish that there would have been some instructions/note for the washing machine. Also we didn’t notice washing liquid/sponge for the dishes so we ended up buying the sponges ourselves, until later we found a sponge and the washing liquid next to trash bin. There was also tablets, I guess perhaps for the washing machine. We didn’t have problem not using it but for the case we would have needed it, the instructions would been great!

My friend and I stayed at this gorgeous month old hotel! We loved our stay. We chilled by the pool and had a wonderful lunch. The location is great as it is nearby a beautiful park and walkable to lots of nice cafes, bars and restaurants! In the room there is a very very comfortable bed! The lighting is fabulous! There is a small kitchen with lots of amenities and equipment for cooking ! The bathroom is small but was perfect for us! We would highly recommend this hotel and we will be back!

You do have to get to the beds quite early if you want a sun lounger due to there only being 14 beds for over 200 people if the hotel was full.. the pool was SUPER cold but we really enjoyed that as it was hot !
