The staff are friendly. The rooms are super big compared to most other hotels. The location is excellent. Everything was great and I have no complaints. You don't here the neighbors or anyone in the hallway. Nice soundproofing.

Room was good with a comfortable bed. Location was excellent, walking distance to many sights and attractions.

Tub switch for shower would not stay off if you were trying to fill the tub (shower would keep coming on). Water for shower was awful - pressure and temperature fluctuated. Shower went from scalding hot to uncomfortably cold.

The room was nice. The bathroom was great. Usually the noise levels are insufferable everywhere, but here it was tolerable, since there was a hall first and then followed the bedroom with a door which could be closed. Everything was sufficient for me (in the Kubrick room) and I enjoyed my stay there.

The windows have gaps in them probably for ventilation purposes, and probably it's nice in the summer, but not in February, especially since some drunk teens are yelling outside on the patio. Other than that, I found that the gym is lacking quite a bit, maybe put up a pullout bar, or something that has multi-functionality. Because a treadmill, a bike and a bench is hardly a gym.

The hotel has professional staff, who are very helpful and pleasant. First of all, I like a room that is big, because I'm not a fan of small rooms. Hygiene was at a high level, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was large. Although the hotel is in an old-school style, which needs renovation, all in all I liked my stay. The feeling of uncertainty, sufficient hygiene and location are for an excellent rating.

The disadvantage of the hotel is that there is a need to renovate the room and paint the walls. So if you expect a modern hotel, this is not the hotel for you.

The room size was a pleasant surprise and much bigger than expected. We were in the John Travolta room. The bed was comfortable with nice linens and pillows. Bathroom was nice with good water pressure and basic amenities . Spacious cabinet top with kettle- coffees, teas and a small refrigerator. Same area had a good mirror suitable for getting ready in the morning as it was near a large window so light was good. Breakfast was on 2nd floor but very expensive for us to consider giving it a go. Handy to have a Mc Donald’s across the road for that. Other much nicer restaurants both next door and down the street that we had some lovely dinners.

The staff need to be trained better in hospitality. Why work in the industry if you are not going to put the effort in to even smile or greet your guests appropriately. Staff talking to each other totally dismissive of approaching guests. Asking anything always felt like such an inconvenience to them. Unfortunately this is what let down our review score. Whilst plenty of choice in area for food and a bit of shopping , the area lacked some atmosphere that was found in other areas like Baixa and Chiado.

The room was a bit basic

This was our second stay here for 3 nights. The staff really stand out. They are very kind, welcoming, friendly and eager to please guests. The housekeeping staff are amazing and the rooms are spacious with large bathrooms and comfortable beds. We stay at this particular hotel because the location is ideal for the Red and Yellow metro lines for easy access to the metropolitan area and it's slightly away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Lisboa and the associated noise. The rooms are very quiet and equipped with air conditioning. We stayed in room 722 (Charlie And The Chocolate Factory). The view of the very grand Marques de Pombal monument is spectacular from the dining room terrace. The breakfast is good, although you may find it a little repetitive after day 2. Would we stay yet again? Absolutely, because the staff are wonderful, the prices are excellent and we don't need lots of in-house hotel facilities.

Nothing whatsoever to dislike.

Quirky, film themed hotel with film star names for the rooms and pictures on the walls, surprise in the lifts!!! Spacious room, for 3 of us. Very clean, comfortable beds, good shower. Mini fridge to put drinks on, water provided. Staff pleasant and helpful. We didn't prebook breakfast, but decided on the day to have it and it was lovely, with a nice view from the room also. Very central location.

Hotel is slightly tired, there was a crack in bathroom sink, but didn't affect our overall enjoyment.

Excellent location in a quiet area next to the Marquis of Pombal Square at the top of the Avenida, Ten minute walk from the center. Metro station and bus station next to the hotel. Many restaurants in the neighborhood. Excellent breakfast with a wonderful view of the square. Very clean. Helpful staff who answered all our questions. Big and comfortable room. We very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

No Kleenex box in the bathroom. Liquid hand soap was not replaced when it run out. Hair dryer overheated and stopped working after 1 minute of use and needed 5 minutes to cool off.
