Very lovely property, hotel rooms situated just above the pub. Staff were very friendly, allowed to take drinks up to your room. Food from the pub was lovely, they have a nice outdoor garden area as well. Lovely views from the rooms as well. Plenty of parking available.

We was booked in the restaurant as well as staying at the hotel as we arrived the staff was really warm and friendly and went to check the room was ready for us which it was and we was shown to the room which was very spacious. The room was extremely clean and pleasant as breakfast wasn't served in the restaurant in the morning we was provided with porridge tubs with a kettle and tea and coffee. The bathroom was immaculately clean with fresh clean towels and soaps provided. Extremely good value for money definitely will be going back

A first class experience at reasonable prices. After a one night stay last year, we returned to revisit on 26/07/2024 & 03/08/2024 to break trip to Scotland. Very good value for money. One single and one double both en-suite with great showers. Tasteful and relaxing decor. The hosts clearly plough love and care in everything from cleanliness, warmth of interaction, personal attention and immediate response to requests. Nothing is too much. Dinner and breakfast 1st class. Look forwards to returning next year. Cannot praise highly enough. xx

There is only one VERY minor comment, that in no way impacted the quality of our stay. I am sure that the guys are aware that the stair carpet is a little worn, they have already said that some updates are planned. I cannot imagine that this is not on their list.

Absolutely flawless, lovely big, clean, comfortable, modern room. Fantastic food, great choice of drinks including a few alcohol free options. The beer garden is spectacular, offering a great view of the local countryside, loads of covered seating with outdoor heaters and access for those in wheelchairs. Dogs are made welcome and there is loads of parking spaces. But the best thing about the place are the staff, well drilled, smart, efficient, extremely polite and always on the move, all looked after by the wonderful Sam. It was our first stay and it won't be the last, thanks Kev we had a great day/night.

The team were excellent, it was Bank Holiday Sunday which is notoriously busy in most pubs/restaurants, but you could really see that everyone of them were grafting and doing their best to provide top service for their guests/customers.

Unfortunately some of the other guests who were staying were very loud on the landing outside of the rooms. Stomping and talking extremely loud every time they came out or entered their room. It led to a bit of a disturbed night’s sleep. No fault with the hotel and the staff though.

All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. We arrived quite late on the Thursday night and the guy that welcomed us was polite and helpful when showing us to our room. The bedroom was lovely and big, it was clean and well kept with plenty of space. The breakfast we had our last day (they only serve breakfast over the weekend) was lovely and good value for money.

The only negative (and it’s small) is that with the windows open, you can hear the traffic going by. We were on the side by the road so it’s understandable, but it was generally only a problem if there were large vehicles going past (tractors/lorries etc)

Nothing not to like. Suited our needs perfectly (we were visiting a relative in Preston hospital) Clean, friendly, good value, surprisingly quiet, parking, convenient location - easy to get onto the M6 for our journey home. The pub downstairs is lovely, we popped down in the evening for light bites and a glass of wine. All perfect. Our little dog was welcomed too. Thank you for everything, we hope to be back soon.

Absolutely nothing to not like

This is a great place to stay just outside of Chorley. You do need a car or rely on taxis for getting into town. Very clean room and bathroom. There is no breakfast service on a Monday, but we were kindly offered porridge pots to make ourselves in the room. We also ate here on Sunday - a very good roast dinner and lovely seating in the sunshine in the back garden.

The bathroom would benefit from a non slip mat inside the shower and a bath mat to prevent making the floor outside the shower wet and slippy. And perhaps a reminder of the pub opening hours in the room - we just missed an early closing time on Sunday, but had planned to have a quick night cap back there.

We had a room for four people which was extremely convenient. Normally we would have to book two rooms. Really good price, when we arrived, the pub area had a big welcoming fire. It was a lovely cosy atmosphere. Plenty of parking, Fabulous views. The room was amazing. There was complimentary water, tea, coffee etc. Towels nicely laid out with cleaning products. Very clean and airy room, with plenty of wardrobe space. The room was lovely and warm. We like it cold at night, so we turned the radiator off and opened the windows. The bathroom was perfect. Big bath and overhead shower, very modern, all very clean, well maintained. The pub has good choice of meals and a hearty breakfast, we will try them next time, but was spending time with my daughter. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much! The Wildings

Nothing not to like!

Modern, clean, spacious room, lovely setting from beer garden. Food great. A good check time at 11am. Helpful staff. Perfect stop off on our journey from one end of the country to the other.

The double bed was quite small (although there was a single bed in the room if we wanted to sleep separately) There was just one bedside table so my partners bedside bits were all on my side. This is minor things as overall it was excellent & we will be booking again!
