Everything is nice,the politeness of the employees, greetings to manager Sandra (She is the best). Everythins looks like 5 stars hotel.

Avoid Grilled Markx restaurant. Sime waiters are ok, but others and the manager are outrageous. They charge you with 20% service charge in the bill after 20.30,even you are eating from 20. When I told to the manager that is illegal si said very bored that "house policy". With the same money you can eat in a good steak house in DC.

The room was spacious and overlooked the courtyard where the pool is. Gym was well equipped. Pool was a decent length to do laps.

We needed a late check out as our flight was changed. When I went down initially, I was told it was $75. When I went back down to confirm and pay, another staff member told me it was $100. Wasn’t happy about that and anyway $100 was quite steep for an extra 4 hours. The pool was cold.

Executive queen suite felt big, modern and comfortable. Great coffee in the room (Illy iperespresso!). Room was matched by the rest of the hotel, clearly catering to people visiting conferences of the university campus. Interesting for the kids to walk around an American campus, even if the students weren't there. On site grill restaurant had everything we needed. About 30-45 minutes from the National Mall, depending on traffic.

The pool was a bit too cold.

The area was perfect for my purpose in Maryland. The hotel was very elegant clean and professionally run. The premises appeared to be secure and my wife and I love the fact that you have to have an activated room key card to use the elevator and enter the pool. The room was very clean and modern. The parking garage is also accessed by an electronic card for guests staying for more than a day.

Several features in our room didn't work. The bathroom mirror didn't light up all the way and one of the lamps didn't work at all. Also, there were no fan-driven vents in the bathroom. The refrigerator didn't keep drinks very cold and there was no microwave in the room.

The room was fantastic - large, modern, and with floor to ceiling windows with a great view of the University parkland and buildings. The room was well equipped with electric blackout blinds, coffee maker, large TV, fridge, safe etc. Most importantly it was immaculate and exceptionally clean. The hotel has a range of quality eateries and bars to socialize and the staff were efficient and friendly.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this property.

One male on reception was atrocious. He had an "I'm too good to be here" attitude. It wasn't personal as he treated others in the same manner. Pool was fine for me as I swim hard but far too cool for children or just handing around. On the other hand the gym, which was fabulous, was unbearably hot.

Very clean and modern rooms and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The building was all very nice and the restaurants on site were great. Staff were friendly.

The location was great for the College Park and UMD area and there was a lot to do nearby, but it was not as close to the Metro Station as I thought it would be so that was a bit inconvenient. The shuttle was great to use on our way into the city in the morning, but it stops running at 3:00, so not really practical for coming back from the station. The bus system there was also difficult to navigate and only stopped at the metro every 30 minutes. The wiring in our room was messed up and not all the lights worked, but most did so it was ok.

Clean room and punctual service for repairs. Good location near restaurants and shops. Good storage space.

The reception desk was not always available. There was a lack of punctuality regarding a delayed arrival of a luggage bag. I had to go down to reception around midnight to verfiy that the bag had actually arrived from the airport. There was a lack of additional services related to breakfast, dinner etc which was outsourced to third party organisations.

Reasonable prices for room and parking

1. The touch pads that control all lights are ANNOYING! Instead of simple buttons/switches you need to FIND the right menu and make selection. These displays are not lit which makes them even more annoying to operate 2. No exhaust fan in small toilet room 3. Vinyl wallpaper in toilet room is a ridiculous option. All dirt from toilet stays on it and it is not cleaned. 3. There was a frequent striking noise (from AC ?) coming from a duct along the window all day and night.

Room was clean, staff was nice and beds were comfortable.

I didn’t like that there were no local TV channels on tv. Had to cast from phone. They give you free WiFi but I travelled with an elderly person who was unhappy about that and unable to watch tv unless I was in room allowing my phone to cast to tv. There was apparently a power outage earlier that day in the area before I arrived so maybe this has something to do with it.
