The location is exceptional, in the heart of Madrid, some 7 min walk to puerta del Sol. You can reach the main locations, museums on foot. And the street is very safe and beautiful. The balconies with their views are wonderful. The staff is friendly and helping.

It is not a luxury hotel so don’t expect expensive soaps, shampoos etc. you receive everything typical to a guest house style. I wish there was a kettle and a mini bar in the room, would make the place perfect!

Great location for sightseeing and going out in the evening, plaza Sol 15 min walking distance, lot of small restaurants and little shops in neibourghood. Room was decent, air conditioning was working

Cheaper price by booking, ..we couldn’t prolonge our visit (there was room available but for 250€ per night directly at receprion), and when I booked by booking.com and payed I got mail that is no longer available and that I will get a refund in 7 days..

The Staff at Hostal Sardinero were amazing. They did not speak english and we did not speak Spanish, but we could communicate quite well. They were always cheery and helpful. They noticed that we had some tea bags in our room while they were cleaning so they bought in a kettle and some mugs for us to use. Little things like this made us love our stay here. The location is superb, such a good neighborhood and our room had three little balconies to look out of.

Our internet for our room was down for the last 2 days of our stay, not a huge issue because we could still slightly connect to other rooms internet but it was just a little annoying.

Brilliantly located. Almost every walking distance. The elevator worked great 😊 The hostel is located on the 3rd floor. The walls are really thin. The lady, even though you don't speak English, is very helpful and makes you understand.

In the bathroom, the equipment is a liquid soap. Alternatively, a hanger would be nice on the door. The double bed is 140 cm, it could be bigger.

The location is fantastic: right downtown, a stone's throw away from the Ateneo Madrid, a very short walk to the Prado museum, Parque de El Retiro, mercado San Miguel, Puerta del Sol, etc. The staff was super nice and accomodating. The room was clean. This is a no-frills hotel, but the room was comfortable.

Noise can travel easily across rooms (e.g., I could hear the hair dryer that another guest was using for a long time in the middle of the night). I recommend taking your earplugs with you.

The location was perfect! It was easy and quick to get around the centre of Madrid and we loved the room we stayed in with the two balconies. Also, the staff were friendly and helpful.

My only complaint is that because it was a holiday weekend, the price of the room was exorbitant. I really don't think a hostal should cost that much. Oh, and there were some problems with the door to the building working.

First of all I like the location, it is in the heart of the city. And of course the view from the balconies.

As far as it is a guest house there are some things that are absent, for example, there was now body gel or shampoo, on the first day, we received only one towel, but everything was solved, as the staff is very friendly. But the price for what they offer is really perfect.

The location is absolutely perfect, central city. Near there’re a lot of good restaurants. Bus station (to the airport) is also near to the hostel. The room is small but it was ok, we just come home to sleep at night. Everything was clean. The staff was friendly.

The bed is a little small. My husband is 185cm and his legs doesn’t fit on it.

The quality of a room we stayed is quite good thinking of the price. Also it was enough space to open 2 big suitcase and 2 small luggage. The staff was also so kind. We could do check-in even 11:30am. I really appreciated it.

One thing I felt bad was that a bath towel was dirty.

It’s location was very good we walk everywhere from the hotel. Beds are amazing we just falled asleep at one night up to morning 😄 we couldn’t go out but this was the best sleep I have ever had

After night and at early morning there are no staff to ask anything. It’s like your own home
