The staff was fantastic. I arrived late in the day by bicycle with an injury after falling on my way back to the hotel, and the receptionist immediately provided me with first aid supplies and ice. The staff working overnight also provided additional ice, really appreciated the exceptional service and compassion. Beyond that, the breakfast was great and the room was very comfortable plus the location was very convenient for cycling. For the price, really an amazing value-- would not hesitate to stay here again.

The staff was friendly and loaned me a small lock when I explained I had forgotten one. The bed was super comfortable, better than my bed at home! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tours.

The metal on the cabinet where I stored my luggage was bent. It didn't cause any problems for security, but it made some noise every time I opened it, and I didn't want to disturb the others in the room. However, this was a very minor problem.

The hostel was really clean and efficient, lovely inside garden for dinner where I ate the 2 evevings I stayed, Breakfast was also good. The staff were very kind and helpful. I had a small problem with another tourist in my room and they helped me without hesitating to change rooms, they really cared about my being comfortable at their hostel. Top Service!! Thank you.

I don't remember anything that I didn't like about the place, I was quite impressed at how organised and clean it was.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Right on the Loire à vélo route. Beds were comfortable. Nice to have outdoor spaces to sit. Place to store and lock bikes up.

Family room had a framed print behind the double bed so you couldn’t sit up at all. Breakfast was not worth the price. Bike room should be locked with room key for security as many access doors within the hostel are propped open. Expected laundry facilities on site at a hostel geared to cyclists.

Very nice and helpfull staff. And the fact that I could store my travelbike in a safe place.

Nothing really. It gives me the impression of a hotel for young people. I'm 64. Solo bycicle traveller. No problem at all. I had a great time. One thing is the entrance for bikes at the back. It is not easy to enter with a heavy packed bycicle.

Very friendly welcome. We ate dinner there and it was pretty good, we ate in a breezy, enclosed courtyard at the back. The staff really went out of their way to deal with multiple food allergies, we were really impressed. Simple breakfast - no hams etc iirc - but there was plenty of food. The kids loved the bunks, the personal fans, charging points etc. We parked easily around the corner.

The lift was out of action the following morning, but not a big deal. We realised we could have researched a hotel closer to the town, but that was our fault not the hostel.

My 2 night stay in Tours has extended to 2 or 3 weeks because of my husband’s hospitalisation. The staff at ‘the People’ have been very caring and extremely supportive in helping me with my difficult and changing circumstances. The friendly atmosphere around the bar in the evening provides a friendly and homely atmosphere. I couldn’t have hoped for more. They have been wonderful.

Very nice staff and friendly atmosphere. It feels homey and the lobby is a good place to relax in good company, even when travelling solo! Other guests were nice too. Good value and close to city center and train station, and very good restaurant too for lunches or dinners or just a drink (nice mocktails too!)

Minor room furniture issues - bumped by head on the wall popping out over the bed head, bathroom and bedroom doors banging, vague bad smell around bathroom, had some allergies in the morning so probably some mites in carpet or bedsheet. Nothing terribly bad though, it was still very comfortable and clean.

Good location, an easy walk to historic centre. Comfy room, very clean.

Our room overlooked the street which not surprisingly was noisy until late in the evening and from early morning. The double glazing keeps out the sound very well but as it was warm we needed the windows open. Fir light sleepers it might be worth asking for a room at the back

Great first hostel experience, I'd be very happy if all hostels were like this. Simple and organised. Female 4 bed dorm had enough space and a curtain, personal light and power port per bed.

The kitchen was small and the light was broken so I had to cook dinner in a cramped room lit by a torch.
