There were 5 of us, so we booked a room with 2 queen beds and a queen pull-out sofa for a weekend while waiting to leave on a Carnival cruise. The room was huge, the beds were very comfortable. It is an older hotel, so the normal wear and tear is apparent, but we expected that. It was very clean, which is always our main concern. All the staff we interacted with were great - in total, maybe 7 between 4 front desk staff and 2-3 cleaning/maintenance staff. Front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. Our cruise was delayed due to a medical emergency detour, so we were not to go to the port until 11:00pm (previously 1:30pm), and we had a child with us - the staff were very helpful and arranged a discounted extra stay for us. Location was great - 5 min walk to Riverwalk Outlets Shopping Mall and Caesar's Casino; 20 min walk to the French Quarter; 5 min drive to the cruise port, places to eat within a 2-5 min walk.

The only downside of the room we were in is that the noise could be excessive as we faced the main street and there was a lot of horn honking and revved up cars/trucks, so we heard the noise off and on throughout the night - earplugs fixed the problem. Also, the shower curtain always allowed water onto the floor because it did not stay close to the front wall of the shower/tub, so we had a pool of water along the tub and in front of the toilet every time one of us took a shower.

My wife and I enjoyed Everything about your property from the moment we walked in the door we felt right at home and were welcomed in by the sweetest greeting from Irealle James! She helped us so much navigating the city from local entertainment, must sees while in town and amazing places to eat. Our truck didn’t fit in your garage (F-250 was to tall lol) so without hesitation she called valet to get information for us to park elsewhere We will Most Definitely be back to enjoy a longer stay with Hyatt Place. Our room was amazing the bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the cleanest room/bathroom we’ve ever experienced in New Orleans!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!!

I enjoyed staying at the Hyatt Place for my conference. The staff was super friendly, welcoming me when I returned back to the hotel and acknowledging me with a "good morning" to start my day. The breakfast was delicious! I also appreciated the location, it was an easy walk to the French Quarter and the river walk and accessible to ride sharing. Finally, I am one who loves to sleep in a quiet dark space. My room was very quiet and the bed was super comfortable. I will stay here again!

Breakfast, location, ease and excellence of car valet service

Toilet ran on and on, NO vent or air circulation in bathroom. Staff was quick to acknowledge you with a hello as you walked in. Angelisa found my friends wallet and immediately put it in safe place. Laverne was quick to solve house keeping solutions after requests to front desk and on phone with housekeeping for extra blanket and towels twice did not deliver.

The only problem that I had was they tried to put me in a king room without a pull out sofa when I booked a king room with a pull out sofa, otherwise known as a king quad room. When I questioned it, they told me that they could not guarantee a pull out sofa and that was between me and booking.com. I told them that it was between them and booking.com and they offered me a double queen which works for my situation. Didn’t find out until I was in the room that I did not have a pull out sofa and the front desk acted as if I was the problem. Could have done without the attitude, but other than that my stay was great.

The breakfast was so much more than expected, the variety, the quality and the availability were excellent. The staff were informative and pleasant.

Even though the valet parking was handy I was not prepared for a 40 dollar parking fee and the price for snacks and drinks was a bit outrageous..I paid 14 dollars for 2 bottles of water (Dasani 16oz) and 2 bags of Cheetos (single size). BRING YOUR OWN SNACKS.

The hotel was nice and rooms were comfortable.

I did not like the fact that there was no hotel parking. We had to park in the parking garage. It would’ve been fine if we didn’t have to go anywhere. We spent $20 bucks everytime we had to leave. That got very expensive!

Really felt luxurious, only down point is paying $35 for parking a day. Breakfast was really good staff was really good. We didn't offer room clean everyday we manage your own. Just really nice place to stay for family. Surrounded by restaurants. Absolutely love the room we had two queen bed and a queen pull out couch. Great for a family of four mom and three adult children. This was a size room we were looking for in order to have one room purchase too. Just good overall.

Having to pay for parking $35 a day.

It's very quiet a clean great breakfast area awesome place. Cool good restaurants nearby. Staff especially the lady that the staff joked about that don't do anything lol. Seriously they were very nice . Definitely comming back.

I like that it's long walk to Burbon but most people come for burbon st etc.
