The owners clearly aim to provide and maintain the highest standards in all areas - from cleanliness to service levels, and from environmental concerns to high quality food and accommodation. We were very impressed indeed, and we have stayed in hundreds of hotels in our lifetime. We should also mention how friendly, helpful and approachable the owners were and this carried through to all the staff we encountered. We felt very at home here.

To be honest there was nothing we didn't like. Everything was handled very professionally and we were made to feel extremely welcome right from the outset. Nothing was too much trouble.

The room was excellent as was the breakfast served over the weekend. To be honest the breakfast served on the Monday morning was not as good. Different chef I presume.

Delivery vehicles in the early hours of the morning leaving their engines running and banging and clattering around and even holding lengthy conversations under the window. Whilst I understand they need to make deliveries one wonders if they couldn't do it in the daylight hours or maybe the rooms by the delivery entrance might be given extra sound proofing.

The food was amazing. During my stay I sampled the fantastic cooked breakfasts, one dinner and an afternoon tea, which was for my team. The variety was extensive and all presented beautifully.

The one minor thing being that work was being carried out and my room was directly above it. If I had been there for leisure, I might not have been too happy about the noise and the early start in the mornings.

The whole staff family were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very welcome. Everyone talked to you or gave you a smile, even Neptune the cat would follow you or come over when you called his name. We loved the real log fires in lounge. Both the restaurant and room service was good and the breakfast was very well presented. The awareness of Covid19 in consideration to. The real bonus was the car charger onsite too.

I could hear a hum in our room which gave me a headache one evening. I would have liked a lamp near the sofa so that I could sew in the evening. I found our bed's mattress a little hard but my husband found it to be perfect.

The location fantastic; the staff friendly and helpful; the room superb in furnishings and spotlessly clean; the decor in the room and around the hotel was fabulous; the food was absolutely delicious; the peace and quiet was blissful; it was simply a wonderful stay in an excellent hotel and we can't wait to go back...what a find, delighted! It might be a 3* in facilities (even though it had everything we wanted/needed) but it is unquestionably a 4* in quality and service standards.

Not a thing. As an aside I think the fact the hotel shows as a 'Best Western' is a negative and may put people off (to be honest it nearly did me) as it in no way feels like that (I'm not even sure if it is a BW?), it is so much better than that brand projects (to me anyway) and gives it credit for, it feels like a wholly independent hotel run and managed by Jenny and Jon and their wonderful team. It is really lovely.

Our room was clean, comfortable and delightful. We had booked in for dinner in the evening and the food was very good. Breakfast was also very good and the presentation was excellent. We thought that the interior was beautifully designed with a great eye for detail.

To be honest, we were pleased with everything we saw and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A lot of thought had gone into the presentation of rooms, meals, etc. and its often the little things that count so there was nothing we didn't like.

A quiet and beautiful rural setting but only 5 minutes drive from Sherbourne The building had a blend of luxury and grandeur whilst feeling warm and homely. A great sense of style and individuality in the decor Thoughtful free additions of wellies, maps, books and board games A gorgeous friendly cat, Jupiter Stylish, welcoming, and spacious bedrooms, well fitted with lighting and storage. Generous sized bed for a standard room (king size)

The mattress was quite firm which I liked, but my wife less so

The room is spacious and spotlessly clean with lovely country style decor. The garden is well-kept. All staff including feline crew “Neptune” are helpful, friendly and attentive. Breakfast is made to order with fresh ingredients. There are enough choices in the dinner menu - meat, poultry, fish and vegetarian. I appreciate the hotel’s effort in using local produce.

Absolutely no complaint at all!

The breakfast was very good, especially the yoghurt, fruit and granola pots. The evening meal was delicious and well cooked with fresh ingredients. Relaxing garden to enjoy in the evening. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable.

The room was a generous size but some minor points - a dressing-table and chair rather blocked the doors in to the bathroom and wardrobes when one of us was sitting there using the mirror and power socket. Maybe the plug and dressing table could be moved to improve the layout in the room? Also, the lighting and position of mirrors in the bathroom could be better to enable viewing the back of your head. Minor points but would have made the room perfect!
