The room was spacious. Japanese style room as it was already explained, so no proper bed but mattresses were provided. It is 2 minute walk from the Kawaguchiko station and we could see Mount Fuji by just coming out of the hotel. Lake Kawaguchiko is also at a walkable distance. There are many restaurants near by. The information of each and every restaurant (and other things) in the city is explained when we scan through a QR code at the hotel. The shared bathroom was also clean and never had to wait in a queue since there are many shower rooms and bathrooms.
You need to leave your footwear outside and wear a different shoe inside the hotel. Sometimes those shoes are not exact size you want and climbing stairs and getting down was not easy.

Perfect location! not to near the station that it would be noisy/crowded, and not to far with just a 3min walk. also boasted a room for a family of 5 with our own private bath! not to mention our room was kinda secluded from the other rooms so didnt hear any of our nieghboors. it did have a 10% view of mt fuji though aside from nice views from the surrounding areas. soft beds were nice and comforters were clean with the own sheet covers. and thank good for a working heater! help us through the 10deg cold. overall a very enjoyable place to stay and relax while waiting for fuji to show up! very good decision to make this our stay as it was our trips rest day!
beds are sort of tatami like, about 10inches off the ground but maybe tough for those with bad backs . but aside from that you have nothing to fear of for this place. wasnt even short on amenities and even had cozy slippers!

The guesthouse's location is highly convenient, just a short walk from Kawaguchiko Station, making it an excellent choice for travelers who want easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It had a cozy ambiance that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The amenities provided were sufficient, and the space felt thoughtfully arranged to make the most of the area. One of the highlights was the staff, who were friendly and accommodating. They were helpful with local recommendations and ensured that everything about my stay went smoothly. If you're planning to visit the Kawaguchiko area and want a convenient, comfortable place to stay, I’d recommend Fujinokura Kawaguchiko Ekimaeten.
While my stay was enjoyable, the guesthouse's shared facilities might feel a bit crowded during peak times. However, the overall experience and the cleanliness of the property more than made up for it.

We had a private room for the two of us, and it was exactly what we needed for our stay in Kawaguchiko. Our own bathroom made a world of difference on those 35+ degree days, and the room was barebones, but spacious enough for two people. The location is UNBEATABLE, close to the station, near restaurants and shops, but also only a short stroll downhill to the lake. There was also a discount available on bike rentals, which made cycling around Lake Kawaguchiko for the day a big highlight of our trip.
Whilst we as a couple had a great stay for the price, I think four people would struggle in that room. The futon mattresses were quite thin, so we ended up pulling the spare futons on to double up and provide extra comfort. Also for some reason one of the lights is motion-activated, so we had to pull the blind down to avoid waking the other up if we rolled around in the night, or needed the bathroom.

Perfect location, literally steps from the bus station and Kawaguchiko Lake. Perfect for people planning to climb Mount Fuji. The allowed us to keep our bags while we were climbing for a small fee of 500yen per bag. You can also rent bikes directly from them and they give a lot of helpful info. They provide everything you need, clean washrooms and facilities. We were only 2 people in a 4 person room so we stacked 2 futons on top of each other so our sleep wad very comfortable :) for the price can't beat it!
The futon and bed cover themselves were definitely old and had some stains but you cover them with a clean sheet anyway so not a big deal.

It is a hostel type accomodation. Location is great- very close to Kawaguchiko station & the Lake Kawaguchiko. Very easy access to bus to Mount Fuji station 5. The rooms are very spacious & airy, cool with AC. The premises is a bit dated and old but reasonably clean and very good value for money. Bathrooms & toilets are shared & well stocked with shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer etc. It has a paid washing machine & dryer. Staff really friendly & helpful and tried their best to communicate in English. Small kitchenette with microwave & kettle, but they didn't have a dining or cooking area or a common room. Bicycle rental available & it was lovely to cycle around the lake. We got free parking behind the hostel.
It would have been lovely to have a common dining room to have meals. Needs a bit of renovation.

Great location just a stone's throw away from the train station. The lake is in walking distance and you can do a run and longer walk to reach the famous pagoda (4km one-way). The rooms are Japanese style with futton beds on the floor which is obviously not the softest thing on earth but still very confy. The staff speaks very good English and there is a bike rental option with discounted options for guests (1,200y for a regular city bike; 2,200y for an electric bike [cross or city bike]) available. Shared bathrooms were very clean and all necessities were provided.

The best sleep of my life! There's something magical about tatami floors & futon. I was falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow (despite very loud French people in the next room). Very close to the station. Very good electric bicycles for rent (cheaper if you stay at the guest house)
The walls are very thin, so if you're unlucky with your neighbours like we were you might end up listening to all their dirty little secrets. This of course is not a fault of the host, but rather a problem with some people forgetting to be considerate of others. It's a bit better organised for women than for men. The male bathroom & showers are quite far from the rooms (unlike women's).

Everything. It's located right in front of Kawaguchiko station, which makes it very convenient when moving around with train and bus. The in-house bike rental service is a big plus. The futon beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spacious. Plenty of cafes and restaurants around (but you have to plan your meals carefully, as most places close very soon and the closing day is different for each restaurant), and the lake is less than 10 mins walk away.
Nothing really, except the men's restroom being very cold at night (we visited in December).

Staff were amazing, so helpful and kind also smiling all the time. Room and facilities were spotless clean, (we also saw the cleaning process after checkout, girls were great at their job) Bathrooms were always packed with face cleaning items, creams, cotton pads etc. There are hot / cold drinking water and kettles and cups in public area. ( did not need kitchen, don’t know if there is one) Guesthouse is 2 minutes walk from the main bus and train station (also daily buses run from there) which was so handy considering we were at the centre of everything. 5 min walk to nice restaurants, lawson ( the one with Fuji view), 7/11. Weather was cold outside in Fuji (5-10 degrees) but room had an aircon and it was always warm inside.
