Very spacious and loved the balcony view. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Upon arriving the front desk clerk couldn’t find my booking; I provided him with my passport and the booking # and still nothing. It was late and all I wanted was to get my room and sleep. Turns out they wrote my name incorrectly and that is why he couldn’t find my booking. Additionally, the hot water to shower takes a really long time for it to come out. For over 5 minutes I had to shower with cold water. My last day there, I had no water at all. I had to go and ask a house keeping lady if she could turn the water back on since I had to shower quickly to catch my flight. She said she will let someone know. 20 minutes later and I finally got water.

It was really an apartment with a kitchenette and a balcony, huge closet and a safe box. We had the top floor with amazing views all around the capital’s center, the lake and volcanos. The breakfast was good and fresh. The area was safe and quiet (it’s located on a cul-de-sac). We didn’t even hear any other guests even though we saw them at breakfast. The room had drinking water and was very clean. The towels were exchanged daily. The reception staff were very helpful!

The living room furniture is a bit worn out. The kitchen could use some napkins and dish soap. The split AC system could be quieter. And the water in a shower took a while to warm up. It didn’t bother us much though.

The room, or rather apartment, was really huge. The entrance area to the hotel is from the yard, a vehicle can take you right next to the elevator. The elevator was perfect. The location is central, not far from main comercial centres and Librería Hispamer. At the same time, the hotel itself is located in the area without any shops nearby, while there is one single restaurant, but literally across the road, which is a great restaurant indeed.

Internet connection was quite poor at times. No drinking water was available in the room. Breakfast was a large portion, passable, but not something I would crave for, certainly not coffee.

On this trip I discovered that heavy rain makes it really romantic when you open the patio door onto the green jungle behind the hotel. Yes, green jungle in Managua. Get your patio door open or just look out the window in the rain. Very good nature in the city. I missed this in the past several trips.

I would like a local cheap food place I could walk to. Maybe the hotel can make a handy list of walking distance restaurants for guests. Other than the provided breakfast, I often had to get in my car and drive to meals, but there is plenty of kitchen space for making my own.

I must say that the RDG hotel has been one of the highlights of my trip. I was skeptical when I booked the room as pictures don’t really tell the true gem that this hotel is. I checked in late at night as I traveled from puerto cabezas to Managua and the check in was quick, parking is very secure. Once I entered my room I was so glad I booked this hotel because it surpassed my expectations - this is truly a diamond in the rough. The free breakfast had 5 different choices for all kinds of people and the food was delicious. I’ve stayed at many hotels priced much higher than this one and I must say this is a true bargain if you are looking for a generous room size, safe, iron, all new appliances, and spotless. I highly recommend this place to all travelers, especially those traveling with kids. This is how my go-to place when I come back to Nicaragua

It could be tricky to find - I wish there was access to the beautiful balcony in the back of the room but I understand it is due to the electrical fence protecting the property

The staff is SUPER FRIENDLY and FLEXIBLE with Our last minute reservation changes! it’s quiet, comfy beds, tv with Netflix, the in-unit KITCHEN is ACTUALLY FULLY EQUIPPED and of GOOD QUALITY appliances. Full size refrigerator, gas cooktop, and countertop oven. you can get a 5 gallon purified water dispenser delivered to your room for 100 cordobas ($3.00). The Hotel Owner is on-site and available most of the week; BUT WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES HERE. (Have stayed at Hotel RDG 4 TIMES; OVER 40 DAYS TOTAL!) BREAKFAST is included; 6 available choices are from a MENU… THANKFULLY NOT a BUFFET (like other places). OH and LAUNDRY SERVICE cost ONLY $10 for a suitcase full of clothes!! they do it here on-site

The Shower HAS HOT WATER… BUT it takes several minutes to get hot sometimes; don’t want to waste water

The property was great. We enjoyed our stay. We had a second unexpected layover in Managua and chose to stay here again since our first experience went so well. We were able to arrange a taxi to pick us up from the bus station and he was there promptly and was helpful and kind during all interactions. Breakfast was also good each time we stayed. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. We were also in close walking distance to a restaurant that was open late called Eco Rustic. I’d definitely recommend eating there if staying at the hotel.

The first night we stayed the room smelled slightly moldy. The smell faded after turning on the AC. The young man that checked us in at night the second stay was unfriendly and seemed bothered by us. But this was only a slight inconvenience and more of an annoyance of his demeanor.

The bed was really big and very comfortable. A lovely balcony with view on trees with lots of birds. Quiet location. A big fridge and coffee maker in the room. Very good shower. Aircon very good and quiet. 2 bedside tables. A sofa and a table with chairs. A very good and huge breakfast with unlimited coffee. Close to a very nice and not expensive restaurant Pan Y Vino.La Union supermercado is about 1 km from the hotel. It is easy to find a taxi to the airport for around 10 dollars. There is an elevator. And free drinking water. We were in room 402 (with 1 big bed) and the view of room 401 must be even better!

The only thing we did not like was that if you arrive before 2pm,you have to pay 2 dollars for each hour

We have stayed at many hotels in Managua, but RDG is our favorite when we need clean, convenient, comfortable, quiet. Easy to find, centrally located, very spacious rooms, easy check in, effective a/c. All rooms have a refrigerator and coffee maker, some rooms have full kitchen. The price is great for a quick night, and the space is comfortable for long term. I consider this a great value.
