Loved the location, the fact that it was surrounded by rainforest and was truly away from it all, and yet didn't take too long to get to places of interest (by car) in the region. The room was very spacious. The bread at breakfast was delicious, as was the fresh fruit salad. We enjoyed the dinners we had (and the happy hours). We loved that we could swim in the creek, where we spotted fish and turtles. The sound of the dawn chorus was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. No TV, and internet only at the restaurant bar area.

The walls were thin and unfortunately the neighbour we had for a couple of nights was loud, which ruined the serenity of the place. It would've ruined the stay for us if we were only staying a night or two. Thankfully, we stayed 4 nights. We had a couple of cold showers during our stay as there was no hot water. The fridge was very small.

Even though we were the only guests, the friendly owner made us feel very welcome. As we were the only guests, we had agreed with the hotel not to have the kitchen staff make us dinner, but we could nevertheless enjoy cold drinks, some snacks and the breakfast buffet was there in full. You'll be staying here in the middle of the jungle, so expect lots of sounds from the forest, some bugs outside the accomodation (all windows have very good insect screens), etc., but in return you're able to see all the wildlife, swim in the creek below the hotel, etc. It also allows you to head out to Cape Tribulation, etc. before the tourgroups from Cairns arrive and this allowed us to see two cassowaries!

Fridge dind't work very well and a microwave would have been nice, especially since the restaurant was closed.

Set in a beautiful setting in the Daintree Rainforest. The cabins are very inviting & tailored to the climate. All cabins have bathroom facilities, no TV reception, but dvd players provided & dvds to borrow. Upon arrival & check in, you are given a torch & umbrella in a gorgeous bag to use while staying at the property due to no lights at night along paths to main lodge & after all it's a Rainforest. The main lodge is lovely for breakfast, dinner & cocktails. Open to the air & looking out at the beautiful daintree forest surroundings. The owner is a lovely lady & is always up for chat.

There is nothing to dislike. But don't expect wifi connections unless you are in the main lodge.

A true tropical north experience.. no WiFi, ( only in resturant) but I was ok with that, set in the most beautiful rainforest, thick and lush and the creek swimming was the icing on my cake..I was so in love with the crystal clear creek. I was in heaven. Free breaky to start the day was fantastic too.. rooms were great, your not really in them too much, more to just sleep as there is so much to see up in Cape Tribulation but was really impressed at how they blend into the forest seamlessly.

Nothing to not like

Creek on site, so you can literally swim in the rainforest with wild fish. Breakfast was included and they had a selection of toast, spread, cereals, juice etc. Beautiful setting and good space between most cabins.

One woman at reception made me feel really dumb when I asked for the WiFi info and if I could make a phone call. She kept asking if I had WiFi calling. I had to tell her several times that I didn't know what that was (I've never been in a place out of reception where I needed to use it) before she finally showed me. It seemed like it was a real inconvenience for her and spoiled the fact that all the other staff had been very pleasant.

Staying right in the rainforest was amazing. Everything was green and lush. We saw a few critters during our walks around the property and drives around the area. The natural surroundings at this resort, which include a river and swimming hole, were really fabulous. The room was very spacious. A simple complementary breakfast was provided and was a great start to the day. The restaurant is open air, with a casual atmosphere and a beautiful place to dine. The location is also good, as long as you have a car or don't mind getting transfers and going on prearranged tours. There's a lot to see in the area.

It's humid in the rainforest and a communal coin-operated clothes dryer to get the damp out of your clothes would have been great. We stayed four nights and things were getting a bit smelly by the end. Somewhere to wash your shoes after going into the more muddy areas would also have been appreciated. I used a puddle in the carpark and a stick. A few more vegetarian/fish options on the menu at the restaurant would have been great. This is not a big deal but we self catered a couple of times and headed up to Cape Tribulation for food sometimes when we would have preferred to eat at the restaurant.

The swimming holes were fantastic experiences for my family. Breakfast was basic (bread, cereal, fruit and yoghurt) but it's good not to have to plan for breakfast. The restaurant was great with big portions.

A bit of cheese and cold meat with breakfast would have been perfect. Some of plants surrounding car parking spots were overgrown, which is fine usually but it rained most days we were there which meant leeches were about. No phone reception or wifi in the rooms - I knew about this when I booked so it's fine, but I did miss the internet when I was planning the next day.

Wonderful location for exploring the Daintree. Great staff - very welcoming and shared tips for places to explore in the area. The two water holes were great to relax in of an afternoon after being out for the day. We all enjoyed our meals at the restaurant.

This wonderful getaway deep in the Daintree Rainforest couldn't be more magical. The natural environment, including the nearby swimming hole and creek on the property, takes centre stage. As a base to explore the region, the location couldn't be better.

The room is rather basic for the price. For example, while there was room for it, there wasn't an easy chair to read in. This was a shame because reading and DVDs are all that's on hand to do after 7pm.

The location in the rainforest was superb. We had a great time exploring the property finding lots of wildlife and great swimming holes. The staff were superb and helped to accomodate a special birthday cake as well as an unfortunate tour cancelation. The restaurant was delicious and we enjoyed breakfast and dinners exploring the area for lunches.
