Both myself and my partner has the most beautiful two night stay here. The views were amazing, the staff were so attentive and kind. The rooms are stunning and extremely spacious. We had a minor issue with the cooker on the second night but within the hour of letting reception know there was a lovely woman knocking at the door ready to try fix it. Highly recommend visiting the beauty hut for some form of treatment, we had the most relaxing massages with the sweetest woman who recommended a Christmas market near by (really made our weekend, so Thankyou) A huge thankyou to the pianist who stayed later after his set finished to accommodate my partner and I, the most perfect Saturday evening sat in front of the log burning open fire listening to the beautiful music. If you’re looking for something to do outside, we suggest going to reception and picking up a detectives trail … best £9.99 spent! The walk was relatively steady, plenty of places to stop off for lunch or a hot drink. We booked again whilst we were there!

There was absolutely nothing to dislike!

The room was very, very clean and the gentleman who greeted me on reception was very friendly and helpful. Lovely location as well.

The room was far too warm despite me turning all the radiators off. I think it was heat rising up from the room below as the floor felt warm on my bare feet. We tried to book at table for two in the restaurant at 5pm only to be told they were fully booked up. Not impressed with that tbh. There should be more tables set aside for hotel guests. I shouldn't have to go up the road elsewhere to get an evening meal.

The whole experience from the check in with Sophie and the welcome messages form Hilary were exceptional. John in the Leisure Club was so welcoming and helpful and gave us tips on where to visit. The room was immaculate and it was an extremely fabulous experience. We enjoyed our swim, sauna and spa, an excellent way to wind down after walking around Lancaster.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. The Staff were so helpful , polite, informative and very pleasant. They made us feel so welcome. The gentleman who was delivering the laundry stopped to chat and always greeted us with a cheery "Good morning: or "Good afternoon, what a beautiful day". How lovely

The accommodation was very spacious, clean, and met all our needs. The spa facilities were great. The restaurant and the food was amazing, as always.

As I have a problem with my back at the moment, I found the chairs in the accommodation extremely uncomfortable. They looked amazing, but unfortunately I could not sit for any length of time in them, and had to be propped up with many pillows, and even then I could not get comfortable. Also, unfortunately our accommodation didn't have a bath, which was very disappointing, as being in the bath relieves some pain. There has always been a bath each time we've stayed at Thurnham Hall, which must be about ten years now, so I was really disappointed that there was only a shower. Also, the temperature of the swimming pool was extremely cold, but a member of staff informed us that there was a problem with the boiler, so that explains it.

A perfect few days away was had by both of us. The location is perfect. The accommodation was perfect. We occupied a 2 bedroom apartment, No 53. A ground floor apartment most suitable for the wife who has mobility issues. Couldn't fault it. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. Sleeping arrangements were a large double bed, 2 single beds, and a sofa bed in the open plan living room. It is a great size for a large group. Loved the shower room, another generous sized room. We didn't take advantage of the swimming pool or the restaurant, but both looked appealing. Booking definitely recommended for the restaurant, in advance of your journey. Thurnham Hall, superb building with the added bonus of having history. The receptionist was more than helpful during our booking in. Due to the wife's mobility issues, we were given an apartment on the ground floor as we had originally been given an apartment that required access via stairs. It was a wonderful gesture that made the break even better. It was great that the receptionist went out of his way to find us and give us the good news. So thank you. Will certainly revisit.

Sorry, I didn't want to. However, this may benefit others visitors. I found we had no tea towels or oven gloves. And, a few oven trays would have been beneficial as we did dine in on one occasion.

Wow - this place is really special and perfect for a chilled getaway. We stayed in a studio apartment (no. 12) recently as we were attending a wedding nearby at Wyresdale Park (15 mins in taxi) - our studio apartment was so spacious and spotlessly clean. Kitchen very well equipped and plenty of room to work from in the living area or bedroom if needed. Ate lunch sat by the huuuge fireplace in the main building which was lovely and cosy - loads of menu choices, would recommend. Staff really welcoming and helpful - thank you Sophia and Lucy! Would love to go back for a longer stay and see more of what the hotel has to offer.

The room provided was spacious and clean with regular laundry and cleaning services. All appliances for everyday comfort were present, and the staff took time to explain the layout and facilities of the hotel. They were extremely accommodating over late arrival and were around in the background whenever needed. The hall is elegant and has been tastefully renovated to provide modern comfortable accommodation. Location, not far from Lancaster providing a peaceful setting within easy travel distance by car or local bus service (just outside the hall gates). There is also a lovely restaurant with 1st rate food and service. All in all very highly recommended, and will certainly return, even if it is a litte out of our travel path!

Breakfast was only available at weekends, but since cooking facilities in room , really not that important.

I stayed in one of the 1 bed apartments, and I was very impressed. It's a peaceful place. Staff were amazingly helpful, especially when there was a major water problem and friendly. The apartment was roomy .. The kitchen had a full-size oven and fridge freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. I took food to cook but if you didn't want to go to all the fuss of cooking yourself there is a restaurant on site. There is a gym and pool with a jacuzzi and steam room too.I would recommend a stay here. There are also other facilities on site,unfortunately, I didn't use this facility as I never got back in time to use them

Not didn't like more of a " should have stayed open longer" the pool facilities closed too early, a shame really as it could be utilised by the locals as well as guests

I come here several times a year for short 2 night breaks, usually mid week. I have stayed in most of the apartments. This time I enjoyed a stay in the main hall on the top floor. The hall is amazing and has kept all the internal features expected of a stately hall. The room was spotless, kitchenette had everything, I cooked breakfast with no issues at all. I used the pool facilities, again absolutely spotless, jacuzzi lovely and warm. The sauna though was out of action, I'm told by other guests it has been like this for 2 months ( it was being refurbished while I was there though so might be fixed by now) another brilliant stay. Cant fault the place especially when the offers are on.

I struggle to find any fault .

The staff were fantastic especially Dan who was really helpful when I wanted to book an early checkin and late checkout. The location was lovely with amazing scenery.

I paid for an early 2pm check in but didn’t get in my room until 3 because the computer hadn’t saved the amendments to the booking so we had to wait to get into the room, and I was still charged for the hour I didn’t get. Five of us were sleeping in a 2 bedroom apartment, so one adult was sleeping on the sofa bed in the Lounge, however, when we came to help her pull the bed out to make it up, the bed was broke and couldn’t be used. They offered her a room to sleep by herself at the other side of the site but it was nearly midnight and not a chance was she sleeping alone.
