We chose this charming hotel on a Boston stopover because we had to wait for our evening flight the next day and wanted to be in a walkable area. The staff was very friendly and check in was easy. The room was perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant because we weren't there at the dinner hour (we arrived late) but it looked quite nice. After check out we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and walk by the sea (wonderful!) and around town, grabbing a great breakfast at a local cafe the hotel recommended. Basically we were treated like extended family and were offered water or a soft drink from the bar while we later lounged in the waiting area. As we were waiting for the time to leave for the airport we got talking to a personable older gentleman... turns out he is the hotel owner's father. He then offered us a ride to the airport and wouldn't take a dime from us.

Not a big issue but just be aware there is no elevator. But the staff will assist you carrying your luggage up the stairs.

This is a lovely hotel that appears to have been redone. Everything is freshly painted and carpets new. Bathroom is newly tiled and there is a bathtub which I love and is hard to come by in all hotels these days. It’s a quaint little seaside town that feels a little like going back in time. You can see beautiful sunrise every morning

Sometimes there is no one around. It’s not a traditional front desk you walk into a restaurant which is not a bad thing. But if I were to say anything that would be it. It would be nice to see someone around in the morning in the “lobby”. But really not a negative for me

The room was comfortable, quiet, had a very clean bathroom, and the towels were of better quality than most hotels we've visited recently. Being near the waters' edge was definite plus. The Hotel’s restaurant food was excellent judging from what we ordered – the chicken tenders were probably the best I’ve ever had.

The hotel was rather isolated in a cozy but upscale neighborhood. Other than the Hotel's restaurant there were virtually no other food/grocery selections nearby unless you chose to walk several blocks away. Additionally, the room should have blackout shades as the early morning sun flooded the East facing room waking us earlier than planned.

Room is very clean. The location is very good & very quiet. The food is nice at their restaurant. The staff are friendly. The decorations of hotel are traditional & antique. Some paintings in our room are so beautiful. I love it.

Air conditioning system is very old, I couldn't sleep very well since the vioce of machine so high & not cold enough. The bed was so high, I couldn't get in easily, I took a chair to climb to the bed. I think is not worth the money which I paid for the stay.

When we have to stay in the Boston area, this is our “go to” place. The hotel is located very close to Logan Airport. Taxi service is handy and economical. The hotel is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is “home town friendly “, and the restaurant is exceptional! Enjoyed being able to cross the street, go down a flight of stairs, and have a walk on the beach!

Wow, what can I say... I received a very warm welcome here. I only had one night here as I had to leave for the airport the very next day. The very obliging lady at reception advised me to order a taxi for the next day so that I could catch my flight on time. Apparently Uber was not always as reliable here as I was told. However, as I only had an eSim card (internet) for my cell phone, I couldn't make any calls. She kindly took care of that for me. What's more, I hadn't exchanged any cash either. I thought you could pay for almost everything by card here. Think again... The cab company in Winthrop only takes cash. Now the friendliness, generosity and hospitality was topped by a lot. As the lady at reception knew about my cash balance😂 she simply found 25 dollars for me. That is not a matter of course. I really didn't expect so much kindness and helpfulness and didn't ask for it. This review is also not intended to encourage you to always come here without cash. I simply want to share this great experience that I was able to have. Great atmosphere, great people who work here. Many thanks for everything! I will always recommend this hotel to others ❤️

Our room was perfect with everything we needed; the ambience of the hotel was wonderful. The restaurant was excellent. Everyone was cordial. We met the owner, Casey & his dad, Doc. This made our experience more personal.

We wanted to watch a football game Sat. night, but could not get an answer from email or anyone at the hotel as to whether it would be possible. Luckily, we were able to see the game in the bar. They set us up with a table near a tv that evening. Everything worked out, but we didn’t know until late in the afternoon. That was disappointing.

so impressed by what we got for the price. the parking is a little tricky but easy enough and free if you're patient about it. the restaurant downstairs is super convenient and had great food, also at reasonable prices, and we somehow didn't hear all the hustle and bustle of it from our room so they must have done some great things for soundproofing. the windows open so you can hear and smell the ocean. perfect room.

Location to the water. Close to airport without being in the very traffic area

There is no official hotel clerk onsite. The restaurant wait staff are the “hotel staff”. If there is a guest need after 9pm, when restaurant closes, hotel guests are on their own. This is a boutique hotel, and $$$.so, attending to guests needs etc should be factored in. If your shower doesn’t work, toilet is clogged. There is no one to pick up the phone call you make

It's a nice and typical hotel in Winthrop near the beach. We had an appartment with a separate bedroom that is also an advantage when travelling with kids. A coffee maker with free coffee was provided. A walk to the beach only takes 5 minutes.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere but the food quality is very bad in regard to the high prices. Maybe breakfast could be provided as the rooms are not well equipped for self-preparing it and alternatives are missing in this area.
