We enjoyed the quiet area, removed from the city and the sulphur smell that can be noted when driving into town. The views and property are nice (we didn’t use the clubhouse, so no comments on that). The unit was plenty big for the 4 of us and the full sized kitchen was great! They provided us with coffee, tea, sugar, and a small container of milk, which was appreciated. The in unit washer and dryer were also clean and worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have games and puzzles in the office that you can check out, which is fun for a family game night. You can also check out items for ping pong, badminton, tennis, and cricket.

Our unit was a two story townhouse with the bedrooms upstairs. The biggest issue is most units have full on sun throughout the day which heats up the place, plus there is a skylight in the bathroom upstairs with no blinds to block any of the sun. All that heat makes the upstairs, where the bedrooms are, become like an oven in the summer. We opened the windows (which didn’t open enough) and used the standing fans provided, but every night was quite an uncomfortable nights sleep. While they may say there is a/c in the description, it is only downstairs in the main living area.

Very nice setting. We ve had booked a 3 bedroom seaview house which had been well equiped, spacious and confortable. Our first house had a bad cooking smell from previous tenant, so they ve arranged another house very quickly. Oni ( reception) is a darling, very competent and friendly. We ve have even got a bottle of wine as an apologie. Very professional !

Some parts of house 23 needs some fresh up renovation. House 25 was fine. Lots of non stingi g little flies in and outside

This was lovely two story spacious property on waterside, excellently equipped for full self catering experience. Pleasant strolling around grounds by river going into lake. Very comfortable. Own parking space near property. Friendly welcome and we enjoyed our stay very much with so much to explore in the wider area.

It didn't affect us too much, but it is at far end of lake from Rotorua itself so have to use car to get there. The patio onto waterside would have been lovely except for gulls and ducks being a nuisance because people will feed them! Disappointed that pool closed and limited opening hours of bar etc because early season but we imagine that privacy on patio would be compromised if place fully booked so appreciated the quiet.

We loved the resort as it was quiet and the apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Living area is downstairs and the bathroom and bedrooms were upstairs. There was a verandah to sit outside however it was a little too cold when we stayed in September and we could not use any of the outdoor facilities. In summer it would be even better though. The staff were wonderful - friendly and helpful to answer all your questions.

The resort is a 20min drive from Rotorua - we were aware of this and did not mind and I would rather stay here again then book sth in Rotorua. There is only a Mini Market close by for groceries so we recommend you buy any food you might need before your arrival. The only negative aspect for us was that the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbours.

Great pool, quiet and pretty location. Very nice place to be. Amazing views of the lake. Good parking and comfortable accommodation. Laundry including washer and dryer in the room was great.

No curtains!!!! We had to rig up black out blinds. Seriously why would you have hotel rooms with blinds. It was like daytime at night. And with kids trying to sleep during daylight saving. Dreadful first night. Install curtains!!!!! Oh and the extra charge warning for not emptying the dishwasher? Really. I'm paying how much to wash dishes?

A cosy comfortable place to return to after a day of exploring. The units are spacious and well equipped with everything you need. Kitchen great for cooking, washer and dryer upstairs. Beds were very comfortable with lovely soft extra blankets if we got cold (but even on the cold mornings the interior was not very cold). We travelled in may, which we found to be a beautiful quiet time to see the area, with blue skies everyday. But as it was cold we didn’t get to make use of as much of the wonderful outdoor facilities (and we were to busy with all the amazing things to do in the area). The spa was lovely though, sitting watching the palm trees by the lake it felt like a tropical paradise. We had one dinner in the restaurant which was great value, so convenient to have a great dinner and walk back to our unit. The food was fantastic, with a home cooked cosy feel. Thanks so much for a great stay! Best value for families and groups I could find in the area.

I would be wary with very young toddlers that you are surrounded by water and would just have to be a bit more vigilant if letting them roam outside, (from the photos maybe some of them have a fenced backyard?) ours didn’t which was great for us as we could enjoy the views of the ducks on the channel out our back door.

Beautiful location; right on the lake, easy check in, the chalet had everything we needed for a great stay. The chalet was warm and comfortable, nice couches and good TV, stereo, etc. Fully equipped to come to Rotorua and start living like you're at home.

A lot of stains on the floor and marks on the wall, appliances were nice to have and functional but tired; the drier made alarming noises after it had been on for a while and left a lot of fluff on clothes. Couches were a little low and not as comfy as they looked but fancier than the standard apartments (same with the beds). Pillows could be better. All in all, a nice feel and ready to use, just a bit tired.

We liked our 1st stay so much (on our way from Auckland to the South Island), especially due to the amazing staff but also the accommodation itself that we decided to come back a 2nd time on our way back to Auckland. Great staff, friendly and thoughtful - we arrived very late but staff had turned on the heating, so it was cosy and very welcoming on arrival. Accommodation was a different two-bedroom apartment (it's more like your own little row-house) than the one during our 1st stay. Not as in good shape and not as perfect clean as the other one but still very nice. We had a great time!

Someone else mentioned an issue with condensation while using the dryer - we also had this issue.

A wonderful "Hello" on arrival by the friendly staff, we immediately felt welcome. At the reception you can borrow a book or a board game or a movie for free if one is interested to do so (which we were). Accommodation was a two-bedroom apartment which turned out be more like a little row-house with two floors (ground floor: kitchen to the right, followed by an open-plan dining area with a large table and six chairs and a living area with a sofa and large TV that leads right up to the other end of the house where some sliding doors open to a little terrace, 1st floor: master bedroom to the left, then bathroom with shower, washing machine and dryer in the middle, second bedroom with two singles to the right). Free parking in front of the house. Fully equipped kitchen, spotless clean - as was the whole house. Heating and cooling possible - much appreciated as it was rather chilly when we staid there. Lovely surroundings close to the lake.

Nothing, it was perfect.

It was situated 30mins from Te Puke. Nice to have a breakaway for a few days. The 2 story Villa was lovely, right by the waterway. The reception lady was lovely n helpful. The restaurant had lovely food. We decided to pay a delivery fee to eat in our room the 1st night, being May it was a cold, cold night. The Cheeseboard n Deep Fried King Prawns were 'to die for'. Yum... The Spa Pool was occupied, so we didn't get to try it. The only regret (on my part) was not booking the 3 bedroom Villa, so my friend (with walking problems) didn't have to climb the steep stairs every time she needed to use the bathroom. The 3 bedroom Villa has a bedroom downstairs (with toilet, I hope) 🤔... Overall, an 8.5 / 10
