Great location for the Airport and buses run from 4:45am. We stayed overnight as we had a 6:00am flight the next day. Bar staff was friendly and food good.

I wanted to grab some food and beer at the Grand Casino because it was already past 10pm and the hotel restaurant was closed (which is fine and I understand). All employees there were attentive and friendly except for one employee who took my food and beer order. I asked for no pickles, no fries and no onions for my burger and fries, onions and pickles came with the burger. I also requested the "birdy beer" and he said that they don't have that and I should just go for a regular "Stange", although it was on the menu. It gave me a bit of "hurry up, I have better things to do" kind of atmosphere. Other then that, the hotel was exceptional as usual.

The staff at reception/bar was extremely friendly and helpful. Desiree was very helpful at our early arrival, Andre's attention to detail was exceptional at our checking in, and made us feel very welcomed. The no.50 airport bus stops right in front of the hotel and can take you to the main bahnhof in the city centre.

I would have liked to have a kettle in my room.

We found this hotel in a crisis after our train back to Paris was cancelled. In half an hour I booked the rooms and we arrived at the hotel. The receptionist was an extremely kind man, very solicitous as well. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

I only saw photos of the rooms and when we arrived it was a little bit of a shock to find a bold red lounge, we didn't know the hotel was a casino as well. That's not a bad thing though, I just have no other notes.

Even it is an airport hotel it is very near to public transportation, it is mid between airport and city centre and it is only 10min to arrive the city also to the airport. The staff is very friendly, we used luggage room many times and for long periods.

There is no minibar in the room. Although I paid all amount of price of hotel before, they transacted deposit around 50€ at the check in against the usage of Casino and bar orders.

Close to the airport and only a few minutes to the old city of Basel. The mass transit, system is excellent and easy to navigate. There was a bus stop only 2 minute walk from the hotel.

There shuttle to the airport does not operate until 6:00 which was too late for our flight. They ordered a taxi for us, unfortunately it was very overpriced for a 6 minute ride, 34.50 francs. Should have ordered an Uber, much less expensive.

Wonderful staff, always available, kind and smart (also for transfers). Wide, clean and comfortable rooms/bathrooms. Amazing view on Basel (from Upper floors) and more than endless breakfast with fresh and genuine foods. Covered/uncovered and safe car parking always available Close to airport and downtown (this latter on payment) with several vans managed by the hotel! Excellent stay in Basel ❤️

The location is very convenient if you want to arrive to the airport in just a few minutes. But with public transport it's also just a few minutes from the central station so the hotel can be a good choice if you visit the city. The rooms are spacious and nice and the ones in upper floors have a great view over the city or the airport.

Staff were exceptional, service was wonderful. Cool decor, nice rooms and location was great if you don't mind hopping on the tram/bus into the town centre

Super close to the airport, but therefore a little way out from the centre of the city. No hardship when free public transport pass is included in the price of your room though!

As a frequent traveler I enjoyed the service of the Airport Hotel since many years. This Hotel never let me down. Always very very friendly staff. Nice, quiet, roomy, clean rooms with a beautiful view over Basel. Connection to the airport couldn't be easier. The Bus, free of charge, stops in front of the hotel and operates every couple of minutes. A nice 40 min walk along the river Rhein or a short ride with the Bus 50 takes you to the down town of Basel. I recommend the Airport Hotel Basel wholeheartedly.
