The lady on reception when we arrived was lovely, the room was good , comfy bed and we didn’t hear anything to keep us awake . Very clean

I was so disappointed after seeing the picture I thought the inn was more secluded , my fault not checking. When we went for dinner the first night we went into the chippy style restaurant and I was disappointed we had to use wooden chippy style knife and fork , asked the waiter for some vinegar due to the two pots on our table being empty and he brought us another empty one! Seemed a bit fed up and rushing about. It was also cold in the public places we used . The Inn is a lovely place though and I’d go back for short stay.

The location was perfect, just at the end of the Glen as you come into town, with the Glencoe Lochan walks at the doorstep. The room was amazing. Freshly renovated with beautiful period style bathroom and a bath which we didn’t expect but greatly appreciated. Lots of lovely little touches with local snacks, bathrobes & slippers. Our room overlooked the loch & mountains. We had a delicious fish supper the first night served by a very friendly young local lass who was happy to chat. Breakfast the next morning was great. Continental breakfast, tea served in a pot and a wide choice of cooked options, We had the French toast with bacon & can recommend. Table service was very good, traditional music playing softly in the background. The dining room is beautifully decorated in highland style & overlooks the mountains & loch

The room was quite stuffy (despite it being Oct & quite chilly outside) but there was a fan provided which we used. I imagine Summer could get quite uncomfortable. Lots of stairs which didn’t bother us but people do need to be aware of. There was a bit of an odd smell along the back corridors which are used to access the bar & dining areas but you get that with old buildings.

Loved the building and the decor. The rooms were so cute and the attention to little details was really impressive. Staff were excellent and super accommodating. An error in our booking occurred - responsibility I think was between Booking.com and me, who made the order and then I didn't check the details of the order confirmation. Either way, the staff made the decision to give us an extra room at no cost as they had a room. This decision was not only a smart business decision, but we were soooo grateful as we had traveled quite a way to get there. The sitting room opposite the view with the Scottish music was just gorgeous.

Pillows on the beds could be softer. The meat stew in the Gatherer was only ok. Other food was great.

Absolutely beautiful place in a great location. Breakfast was delicious and we had dinner at the pizza place attached the hotel which was great food.

We booked a room for 3 adults for one night but on arrival they said they don’t do rooms for 3 adults and the room we booked was for 2. Not sure whose mix up that was (They said it was a booking.com mix up). We went in winter so it wasn’t busy so I feel they could have offered a single room or something to compensate that my sister had to sleep on the couch. Luckily we were only staying one night and it didn’t affect the trip too much!

The Hotel is situated in the middle of GlenCoe Village with lots of parking space. It's a big hotel and I kept getting lost :-). The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. They offer a variety of eating facilities with great choice.

If I have to mention one thing, than it is the noise that woke me up at 2 in the morning from emptying the glass container next to my room. But everything else was fine. No complaints.

The Glencoe Inn was the absolutely perfect cozy stay - with wonderfully quaint rooms, many sitting areas both indoor and out (with fires!), TWO attached restaurants, delicious breakfast, and a wonderful bar. The staff (and their dogs!) were delights - from the crew who checked us in (Stella was hilarious!) to the man behind the bar who helped recommend a series of whiskies (my dad finally found one he liked!) and even introduced us to Irn Bru. Every single person we interacted with made our stay even better. This inn was the first stop on our Scotland journey and it was the perfect start

The rooms could be a tad bit bigger, but the size of them was in no way a deal breaker for us!

Fabulous views and location 15 minutes walk from the orbital circuit and gateway to the stunning backdrop. Very helpful staff who are keen to assist in any way they can. The Gathering is probably best value for money but the bar is fab in between.

You need to spend top dollar for the better rooms and some may be expecting more for their money.

EVERYTHING ! I phoned previous to our stay asking for a room with walk in shower as my husband had 3 previous strokes and spoke to Catherine/ Kathleen and took my request and phoned back within 10mins saying that that it was all sorted! Then on arrival was checked in by Stella ! what a legend! so cheerful , knowledgeable and nothings a problem! I requested an Iron as we’d been travelling a bit and yes prompt service ! we asked question about the area and she was so helpful . Meal and service in the Gathering was fabulous! The Gentleman who was in charge of breakfast was Amazing!! croissants on table , coffee and tea cups never empty, breakfast outstanding and service impeccable ! Your Oban Hotel could learn a lot from here ! Will definately be back! would definitely recommend o

it’s perfect

The hotel is perfectly located with mountain behind and lake in front. In addition to the nice room facility, we are truly touched by the hotel staff. Our accommodation with AB&B got cancelled on the day we arrive at Fort Williams, which led to no where for us to stay as all the hotel rooms are fully booked due to the holiday season. We only managed to find 1 room in this hotel, however we have 5 ppl and it was already mid night. The staff on duty were so nice that they shared our difficulty and took initiative to help all of us to settle in. It was very lucky for us to find this hotel and we appreciate very much to the hotel staff who made our day during the trip in Scotland. We believe the staff make the hotel excel and we strongly recommend you to book this hotel.

*character property, comfortable room * Location & views spectacular *all amenities on site

* a good chunk of the room rate is for location & views. Could argue ...fair enough * Shower in our twin room was weak pressure and under a sloped ceiling. Not suitable for anyone 6ft+ * Breakfast process could be improved, but quality of food very good. We saw many negative reviews of the restaurants but we disagree. Menus, food and service was fine in our opinion
