Staff were very friendly and helpful. No meals supplied but there are a couple of close-by convenience stores with hot food, cold drinks, and breakfast supplies. The room had a fridge and microwave to make it practical to prepare simple meals. This is an older motel-style hotel but the rooms have been extensively updated. Much cheaper than in San Francisco but only a few stations away on the BART which is a short walk away, and free buses circulate around Oakland, including to the Amtrak station.

The area does not have a good reputation but I had no problem even late at night and there seems to be a strong community atmosphere. The food market near the Amtrak station is highly recommended.

This is a GEM of a motel in Oakland,CA. We traveled down the PCH from Canada staying in many motels along the route. This property was exceptionally clean inside and out. The room was spotless! The bed was firm and comfortable and the bathroom had a large bright shower and ample counterspace. We spent 3 nights here while visiting San Fransisco. The BART is only a few blocks making it ideal to get into SF . What the area around the motel lacks this bright, clean and well cared for motel makes up for. With that said... I felt safe walking to the BART during the day but would not be out and about after dark. This facility provides ample parking with cameras. All in all great stop!

The managers work really hard to create a clean, safe and quiet place to stay. Rooms are small, but I had everything I needed, including a mini-fridge and microwave. Good Wi-Fi. This is now my first choice to stay when working in the Bay Area.

Everything was clean and nice. Very quiet. If you needed to sleep all day you could. Just let the management know to put your room on do not disturb. Our room looked exactly like what was pictured on your site. The management was helpful and kind. We felt safe. The exterior was very clean and neat. The location was right near the bay bridge and access to everything.

The place was really good. But if I was making improvements I’d do the following. 1. There was no added lock on the door like the one that flips across. We would either have to pull or push to make the lock click into place. 2. I wish there was at least two chairs in the room to eat at the little table. 3. I needed an extra mirror to finish getting ready. The only mirror was in the bathroom. 4. A coffee maker in the room would be great.

I thought it was really nice for a 2-star hotel, along with the guy who checked me it was super friendly. Along with, it was spotless and comfy in the room. The area seemed rough, but not bad at all.

The only thing I can think of is that there could be more pillows for the king-size. Otherwise, no complaints at all.

Everyone was nice. Someone is out and about all night and there's cameras to put you at ease that your vehicle and belongings will be safe. We also forgot an item and they were kind enough to hold it for us until after our fishing trip to come back and get. Location is excellent especially if you're planning on a charter fishing trip! We were only 8 mins away from the pier.

It was perfect size and price for 1 person. Rooms were clean and just the right size. Kudos to this place for being a good place to stay and be safe in an otherwise very shady area of town.

The neighboorhood is definitely a downside, but this place is absolutely worth it for the price, and it's not a dangerous spot because the parking lot is lit and camera'd all night.

It was clean, affordable, close to BART station and we could check in late. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Neighbourhood is noisy, dirty and rough, no tea or coffee maker in the room and no cafes nearby, and could have done with extra towels.

The room was clean, the refrigerator was clean and worked great, the bathroom was clean, the television worked well as did the wifi, the parking was plentiful and the staff was very nice.

There was an incident with a homeless person but the manager seemed to handle it. A little kind ness would have been good. I understand the person was homeless and I don't know the the whole incident, but a little kindness would have been better than all the yelling. The police did eventually show up.

The property is always clean. I never have to worry about anything like that when I stay here. Another great thing about this property is the family that works and runs this hotel. They are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, very helpful and just all around good people.
