Absolutely beautiful room and surprised by the reasonable price. Staff were so polite professional and friendly. Restaurants, bar and outside seating area is stunning. Heaters outside allowed us to eat outside. Garden and outside area was pristine. Every detail has been considered in this hotel down to the corridors! Nice touch to have homemade cookies in the room and proper coffee machine in addition to a kettle

I wasn’t impressed with the food considering the price of it. I found it just ok taste wise and overpriced. I would have liked a fridge in the room to store drinks and milk for hot drinks. There were two lamps in the room and neither worked

Warm reception from the Excellent staff who went over and above to accommodate our needs. We were running late after work and called the hotel to try and order some food, outside of kitchen opening hours, nothing was too much trouble. They prepared a delicious freshly made meal and delicious is an understatement! Thank you Ali and the team as well as compliments to the chef! The hotel itself is beautiful with stunning views to match.

The was not a single thing

Stunning location. Witnessed the most perfect sunset followed by a diamond clear sky and an appearance from the moon and Venus. Excellent location for Hadleigh and the surrounding Suffolk countryside.

My only niggles were that my room was a little cold, the sauna in the spa wasn’t on and the outdoor pool was heated to 17 degrees, so not warm enough to swim in.

Quirky, quality finishes

We had the loft bedroom. We stayed during the winter, think dark early evenings. No mirror with a light to apply makeup, the full length mirror opposite the door may have had a socket near for a hairdryer but there is no light over that area. It was also too dark to dry my hair, see my clothes hanging on the wardrobe rail or, most importantly the steps down to them.

Waited just over 30 mins after ordering breakfast for it to arrive. Only 2 other diners in the restaurant. Quality was bitterly disappointing and by no means matched the quality of food enjoyed the evening before.

Our room was completely private and wasn’t overlooked by anybody else. The bed was huge and so comfortable, and the staff even left rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed which was lovely! (we had just gotten married). The bathroom was gorgeous, the shower was massive and the little products for us to use was a nice touch. In the room there were also handmade cookies for us and fresh water. The coffee machine was definitely a bonus too! The best thing about the room was our view. At the foot of the bed large doors opened out to a balcony which looked over fields. It was so serene and peaceful. Overall, it was absolutely beautiful and I’d happily stay here again.

The price of the room was quite expensive, but that’s just my opinion!

Well equipped luxurious rooms and the restaurant and surroundings were well spaced out inside and had an outdoor terraced to sit out as well

There is building works going on at the moment it didn’t affect us too much as we stayed on a weekend when there is no work going on. But the car park is the other side of the building works which can be a problem with people with mobility issues.

Very stylish, sleek, clean and lots of space outside no matter the weather! The bed was incredibly comfortable with the loveliest, dreamiest, bedding. The room was absolutely beautiful and all staff were incredibly lovely. I was quite overwhelmed before arriving but left feeling completely refreshed just after two night stay. The wifi was perfect for working from the hotel too! Including outside - I was able to spend the whole day facilitating video call meetings and collaboration workshops with no issues at all!

At the moment, there is work going on which wasn’t mentioned when booking so was a bit disappointing to have scaffolding outside my room. However, it wasn’t a problem at all, just initially something I would have wanted to know - they have worked around the construction works very well and it’s still a gorgeous and quiet stay especially for the evenings.

On booking it did not tell you about on going building work , so when it showed up on booking I was appreciative, but and a very big but , this was by far one of the most beautiful stays I have had it was spotless, the staff were very attentive, the restaurant was better than any upmarket restaurant I have been to , all of the food was presented excellently, and tasted even better than it looked, I would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant to anyone wanting something up market .

The only thing I could find fault with was our view from our room , as it had scaffolding outside our window , but that was it , once all buildings works are finished this will be so beautiful , thank you for a wonderful stay

Full English breakfast poor because the bacon/sausages were not hot enough. The hottest thing was the egg!! I mentioned this to the waitress twice and despite there being only 4 customers and the chefs visible through the glass there was no apology.

The breakfast on the first day (comments above). The room was not large enough and the view was of scaffolding. There should have been a free upgrade - there were only 5 rooms occupied on both nights. The lounge was scruffy upstairs by the bar.
