The hall is very impressive.. a long driveway up to a lovely character filled hotel. Every room was beautifully decorated. The ladies on reception were lovely and welcoming, the whole staff were attentive and organised, we couldn't have asked for more.. The evening meal was delicious - they arranged for a private room for 22 of us with one huge table. Drinks service was quick and the Pornstar martinis were a hit Breakfast was lovely with a mixture of hot and cold options. The checkout was quick and easy with bills all ready They went over and above what I expected
The weather.. ha ha

An absolutely stunning period property in a beautiful location. The staff at the hotel are a credit to the business. Everyone was extremely professional and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. The restaurant food was impeccable. Excellent water pressure in the showers and a very comfortable bed. A special mention to Uri for taking such good care of us.
Nothing to not like. This is a period hotel so some aspects of the windows for example needed a little TLC but that is down to age along with the odd wonky floor but these things are all part of the charm.

Food was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Excellent service. Rooms comfortable and quiet. The grounds look lovely to explore but bit wet on our visit. Great location.
Shame no open fires to make sitting room more cosy now it’s colder. Although Christmas decorations looked lovely and festive. Hotel is venue for corporate events and weddings so best to check beforehand as this may affect stay. We were in side room for breakfast on second day as corporate event was on. Nice room but rather cool and staff were busy - couldn’t find anyone to ask for sauces or more coffee. Also felt that £20 charge per person to use hot tub was rather pricey.

Staff friendly & helpful. Peaceful location and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Room spacious and comfortable and the lounge areas were a great bonus
Occasionally had to go looking for staff to get a drink in the bar area. Dinner was wonderful but the room was very bright & the lighting wasn’t appropriate for the fine dining experience. There was a huge chandelier which wasn’t turned on (though curiously it was for breakfast) and the main room lights were just over-bright & dazzling and I would have preferred more subdued lighting. We did have small lamps on individual tables but they were overpowered by the main lights & I could y even tell if they were working or not as there was no contrast.

Location and standard of accommodation and outside areas were just superb. Beds so comfortable. Our room, Maypole, was beautiful and our meal in the restaurant was incredibly good. Thanks to the talented chefs. Special mention to all the staff who are a real credit to the hotel but a mention to Jade, whose recommendations and service in the restaurant was perfect. I’ve never eaten a dessert so slowly, not wanting it to end. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your hotel and only wish we were getting married as we couldn’t think of a more romantic location which when added to the service provided would be a special day indeed.
There was nothing to dislike at all

Breakfast was excellent with good quality food. The grounds are stunning with access to walk around. There are plenty of lounge area to relax. Check in was easy, welcoming and well organised. We ate dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed the experience with an excellent wine list. We travel around the country on weekend breaks and this hotel is excellent value for money, in a beautiful place. Highly recommend and we will defiantly return. We booked a room to take our dog and it was the best dog room we have ever stayed in.

The room was lovely and the whole building had character. But what really made the stay great were the staff. They were very polite, helpful and professional as one would be expect from a hotel like Hintlesham Hall. Breakfast was good but it was the dinner there was great. Make sure you have at least one meal whilst staying there. Expect to be well dressed for dinner, jeans and t-shirt isn’t really good enough. The hotel has standards which is nice and makes the stay feel worth the cost. So if you are travelling in Suffolk then do try to stay at least one night here. It’s worth it.
The hallways floor boards were rather creaky. But then again it’s an old building so that is kind of expected. It has character though I would have prefer to not be walking on creaky floors. My room was ok though, it was just the hallways. But I guess some people may like that. So it’s certainly not a big thing and is no reason not to stay here.

The whole place is rather special and is a 16th Century farmhouse that has grown greatly over the years. The public rooms are beautifully done and our room was high up in the loft with beams and solid oak furniture. The staff we all so friendly, helpful and yet highly efficient with superb service in the restaurant where the presentation was perfect. With fine grounds, good and generous parking, plenty of space and delightful views, this is a good hotel.
Our only hesitation was the dinner menu which is only changed every 2/3 months and so a stay of several nights can be challenging as there are rather exotic choices. Clearly very influenced by trends and tastes, you get pigeon, octopus, squid and other rarities but more normal choices are on offer. It seems that spinach features in nearly everything and is somewhat hard/tough to eat…I would drop the dreadful stuff from the menu immediately! The main courses were fine but do not expect traditional English cuisine….the starters we didn’t try but the dessert courses were wonderful. Not eating there would be a shame and most find it perfect but next time, I might eat elsewhere because of the, to us, “difficult” evening menu.

The hotel is gorgeous. Our room was amazing and they’d even put a pretty 25th Anniversary display in our fireplace upon arrival. The room was so clean and well maintained and the bed was so comfy. My husband loved the library. The gardens were lovely to walk around and we thoroughly enjoyed our spa treatments.
Everything was wonderful

Staff (especially Megan) were wonderfully helpful in the run up to our visit, resolving the confusion over the wrongly announced cancellation of the Christmas Fare. On our arrival the reception staff were very welcoming and assisted us while our room was prepared. The room exceeded our expectations being large, warm and well set out. The towel birthday cake was a delight and fun for my wife's birthday. The dinner was excellent (you have some amazing chefs) the restaurant staff were appropriately attentive, friendly and welcoming. Making the whole experience a delight.
Only a small thing - but there was no one in the bar when we arrived for a pre-dinner drink, but someone arrived after a short delay.
