The hotel is very nice. A beautiful garden and swimming pool. Everything was fine a very polite staff as well. I really recommend that hotel which is closed to all attraction even they provide shuttle bus to/back beach for free.

Wonderful capable and helpful and friendly staff. Huge pool. Sumptuous breakfast buffet. Best tropical vegetation anywhere. Orchids. Fan palms. Luxuriant. Free shuttle bus to town and beach and back. Great 2 for 1 happy hour.

This was my favorite hotel on out 3 week holiday in Vietnam. It was far more spacies than I expected. Our bathroom with huge bathtub was beautiful, we fealt very spoiled. The pool was lovely, beautiful garden, services was excellent and the prices of refreshments, cocktails and food was reasonable. We enjoyed seeing the traditioal rice noodle making at the ancient house at the bottom of the property. The included breakfast was also fantastic, and the best omelets we have ever had. We loved using the complementary bicycles so much that we didnt need to use the complementary shuttle bus to the town centre or the beach.

Everything was excelent

The pool area, the rooms with big beds, the bikes including child seats, the friendly staff and the shuttle bus to the beach and old town center (the location of the hotel is amazing to be used for both: sightseeing and beach)

This was my fourth stay at Ancient House Resort and each time it has been exceptional! The resort is like a tropical oasis, it is close enough to the old town that you can walk there in about 15 minutes or alternatively take one of the hotels free bikes. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and very clean. The pool is lovely and you can pretty much find a shady place to hang out in it throughout the day - or have full sun if you like! The breakfast buffet is awesome, they have a great range of options with a chef who will make you eggs any way you have them! All the staff at Ancient House are so welcoming and friendly - they all make you feel incredibly welcome throughout your entire stay and cannot do enough to ensure you have all the things you need! I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

There was nothing I did not like.

I chose this property for its more traditional style, low rise, relaxed and tropical feel. The hotel rooms and gardens are beautifully maintained and cared for, there is no signs of aging or weathering , staff were constantly doing bits of work to upkeep the rooms, furniture,, walls, and beautiful gardens and they obviously take really good care of everything. Rooms were spacious enough, kept very clean , comfy beds and lovely bathrooms, air con great , always hot water . Staff all very friendly and attentive, ready waiting with a nice cool little towel when you come in from the hot day. . We used the hotel free shuttle bus to take us into town or to the beach and the hotels free bikes are always there ready to go. And it’s an easy ride into the old town . Also close to an area of rice fields to ride around . We were a family of 4 and the interconnecting rooms were perfect. We went a few times to lovely cafe/bakery 30m down the road for coffees etc and quite a few little local restaurants around if you dont want to go into the old town. Pool was enjoyed by all.

No problem for us but lots of stairs so not a good choice for those who can’t manage stairs easily. A small thing and not much to be done about this but the pool was very warm water and not as refreshing when it’s so hot.

Everything. The staff were so friendly and helpful in every way, but not intrusive. We had an extremely interesting, and complimentary, lesson in making rice paper in the traditional way. We were also show around the small facility, where the rice paper is made to sell. It was fascinating. The breakfasts were excellent. An wide variety of sweet and savoury and local and European food. Much of it was freshly made to a v high standard. The ambience of the hotel is v relaxing as the buildings and gardens are both beautiful, with lots of plants etc. We will definitely recommend to friends.

Nothing we didn’t like

Close to old town with shuttle services to Old Town and the beach. Lots of shops and cafes nearby. Very quiet and peaceful within the resort. Very charming property with lovely landscaping. Pretty frangipani lined pool. Huge breakfast spread. Generally very personable staff and gracious staff. Especially Ms Oanh. She helped organise our transport to Da Nang for a very good price and the car provided was a premium and comfortable vehicle.We did not eat some of the complimentary fruit provided in our room and front desk very graciously sent us some freshly cut fruit. Our room was really lovely, clean, spacious bright and tasteful and really powerful aircon. The hotel also kindly arranged a ground floor room with standing shower as requested. No additional charges to pay by credit card. Lovely place to relax and unwind and feel like you’re on holiday.

It’s a lovely resort however I didn’t realise there are a lot of steps to enter the resort…. Make your way to the restaurant or the pool/ground floor rooms. My mistake but elderly or less mobile guests take note. Some of the pavers at the entrance of the hotel are very uneven, some are sunken and some are raised. My elderly Mum nearly tripped on one. At night these are even harder to see. We let front desk know so I hope they are able to fix it.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this hotel and will continue to not only stay here but recommend to friends. Good pool area, excellant breakfast, shuttle service to town or beach, very friendly and helpful staff.

Kindest most genuinely welcoming staff of any hotel I have ever stayed in and I have traveled extensively. Beautiful room in garden setting and pool. Free shuttles into town and back. Stayed here also 10 years ago and luckily it has not changed. No ugly sterile modern hotel here. Just traditional old world place but very well maintained. Was sad to leave.
