Vang and all the staff were amazingly helpful and always happy and genuinely interested to help you enjoy your stay. The gardens are next level amazing and it was so peaceful sitting anywhere in the garden and I loved all the bonsais around the pool. And the fishpond was beautiful so I would go out of my way to go and visit it everyday. Unlike most places in Vietnam there was no buffet breakfast -everything was always freshly prepared for you and we (Mum and I) loved the variety on the fruit plates which was always cut up fresh. The pool was so clean and always plentiful towels to use and I spent a lot of time just getting in and out. The rooms are all tiled and very spacious and so it didn't matter if you dripped some water on it. The beds were comfortable and even though the tiles in the bathroom are a mix and not necessarily matched, the bathroom was huge and spotlessly clean. Vang's husband Jimmy drove us from Hoi An to Hue via Marble Mountain and to the Buddha Lady at our request and a stop at Lang Co for some lunch and he was very informative as I was very interested in the life of Vietnamese people and his English was excellent so we had a wonderful trip with him. Although a little bit away from the Old Town it was only VND55,000 to catch a taxi into town and one night (despite the incredible 36 degree heat we had every day in our early August visit) we walked the 20 mins home and really enjoyed the variety of places we saw along the way. It was very convenient also to visit the beach from their location and had plenty of bicycles we could have used to get there but it was too hot for us to feel like cycling. I am very keen to visit again as it was so restful and I felt very refreshed at the end of our 4 night stay. We are from Australia and although we are used to heat, I would avoid August as it really was very hot and humid and would probably go in May, June or Sept, Oct. Everyone at Betel Garden Villa was so lovely! I was staying for an extended time, and Betel became my home. The garden was well maintained, everything was always clean and tidy. Staff always helpful, gave advice, smiling and kind. The pool is beautiful, especially in the evening when the sun has gone down..it remained warm and you could enjoy the night sky before heading to bed! Each day two of the service workers at the villa helped me get my rental motorbike out of the busy parking bays at the villa, they were so attentive and smiling all the time, they kept the pool, gardens and driveway clean of debris among many other duties. Honestly I really appreciated everything the team did for me on my stay. The location is ideal for getting around the centre of Hoi An, great, and incredibly tasty meals to be had at local restaurants nearby (I recommend Peanuts and Rau Oi). Rooms were always refreshed each day, bathrooms were sleek and simple, everything from coat hangers and a fridge in your room, bed side tables (they even delivered me a new bedside lamp so I could read my book!) All in all it was a wonderful stay and if I ever make a trip to Hoi An again I know this is the exact place I would return to for a guaranteed comfortable, friendly stay. I travelled alone so a price for a double room which is all that is available is a lot more ~ I appreciate that I got extra space and double the morning coffee's so thank you!

The atmosphere! Very beautiful and calming place where you can just walk around or sit and take in all the plants and the ponds. The breakfast area is perfectly placed behind glass in the center of the property. Excellent breakfast too. Great pool and perfekt relaxing environment after a day in Hoi An. The walk in to town takes quite a while but taxi is cheap and a good option for those who want to save their energy for other things. We were recommended a private cooking class (Dong Family Cooking and Tours-Tripadvisor) by the reception and that was one of the highlights of our trip. This hotel have my highest recommendations. Should I come back to Hoi An, I will stay here.

Very nice room and the entire property was very beautiful. Everything was well maintained and looked after. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean.

I didn't like that our room was right in the middle of the courtyard and had big glass windows/doors. We would leave the curtains closed when we left for the day and come back to find the cleaner had opened them and all of our belongings were visible to anyone walking past. Breakfast wasn't included which we didn't realise, we would not have ate it if we knew we were paying extra for it as there was better food in the area for cheaper. That being said we still loved our stay here and would recommend this place to anyone else.

This property is amazing! We were fortunate enough to have the poolside family bungalow that you see on booking.com. Our teenage boys had the ground floor and my husband and I had upstairs. We had beautiful views of pool from our balcony. It was spacious and extremely clean. The gardener, groundsman was excellent, helping us with complementary bikes every day. Checking the tyre pressure, adjusting seats each time. He was lovely and very attentive. The location is excellent, with a lovely short ride along the river to the old town.

The breakfast was fairly limited and basic, lacking a few items. The breakfast service was also very slow, with no wait staff in sight for long periods of time. We noticed in general, food service is fairly slow in Vietnam and Cambodia, which we soon got used to, but this was another level of slow 😊

The location of the Betel villa was great. It was away from the city center of Hoi An. It was close enough to bike into the town center and enjoy all the activities. Being away from the city center and away from the main street made our stay super peaceful and quiet. The use of bicycles for free was awesome (night light, locks, and basket included to ensure safety). Breakfast was a lot of food but really good. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Even the gardener taught something about the beautiful plants on the property thru google translate. You will not be disappointed with the staff, the property, and the location. You will see numerous tropical fruits in the garden (May). They are super flexible and accommodating. We came back late from the beach and allowed us a late check out. The pool was great to have for a swim to cool off after a morning tour.

I wished there was a kitchen so I could enjoy some of the fruit from the markets but this not a fault of the property.

The most beautiful, peaceful place you could stay within the city. We stayed at a few places in Hoi an and this was by far the best. So much wildlife because of all the plants and flowers they have and look after so well. You can tell the family who run this place really care about the up keep and the guests staying here. Vang ( not sure if spelt correctly) was so helpful and gave us loads of info on the local area and helped us book a great cycling tour too! Thank you so much for a great stay.

Everything was amazing.

The rare case of a perfect 10. The room was very spacious, bright, quiet and clean with all the necessary amenities. Room service was very good and option to use laundry service was also very welcome. All of the staff were welcoming and helpful but also readily available when needed and invisible when not. Real professionals. But the main draw here is the absolutely gorgeous garden with ponds, fishes, lizards, butterflies. And the swimming pool is really well maintained and big. Also the bike rental is super nice - no additional cost, self service, bikes are in good condition and have lights for evening rides. Location is great as well. It's quiet but also so close to the old city and rice fields - just a few minutes of bike ride. In the vicinity you have minimart and a couple of restaurants also. Definitely would stay here again!

In Betel Garden Villa, we stayed in a cottage with two rooms, each with separate entrances. One on the ground floor, the other on the first floor. Both with spacious verandas, clean, roomy, and with flawless air conditioning. Betel Garden Villa is located in a beautiful, well-kept garden with a great pool! The rooms are cleaned daily, and the staff is very friendly and competent. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the center of Hoi An, but the walk is very pleasant. Breakfast from the menu can be purchased even in the morning without prior notice to the staff (about $4). An additional advantage is the free bicycles available to guests. We highly recommend Betel Garden Villa; we had a wonderful time there!

Everything was ok!

Nice, clean and well in shape place! Service personal is very kind and tries to help. They cooked the porridge we beought for the baby. There is always someone cleaning or takibg care of the plants / pool / room. Nice pool ! Free bikes including baby chair. Overall family friendly place. Accurate room cleaning every day. Many breakfast options.

Room clima was very humid, AC worked not fully reliable. Moisture seems to be not avoidable in these countries. Location a bit to far too walk to the old town with kids (30 minutes) but luckily weather was good to go by bike.
