I picked this hotel out of other options because of the location, services I knew I would use, and because the staff knows English. I used the airport shuttle to go to Taoyuan Airport, used the luggage storage room, and arranging all of those services just through talking to the staff was extremely easy and convenient. I was shocked to see how smoothly it all went. This hotel is within walking distance from Taipei Main Station, which is why I considered it, but it is within even closer walking distance from NTU Hospital station, which made my solo travels even more convenient than I expected. This hotel is located next to restaurants and chains, and really close to the bank where I converted my foreign currency to Taiwan currency. I ate breakfast in the hotel every morning, and it is safe to stay in, with security at the ground level, and more. I was extremely pleased with my stay.

The one thing that could be improved is at the provided hotel breakfast. I think each dish should be labeled, noting if something contains meat, and what kind of meat, and which items are vegetarian (with additional labels of containing eggs or milk) for those who are vegetarian. Some of the meat dishes are labeled, but others that contain meat (at least, I think) are not labeled at all. Other hotels in Taiwan have a vegetarian section, where everything in that section is vegetarian, but there is no clear division on that at this hotel. I would highly encourage for this change to be integrated. I know it would be more complicated, since some of the main breakfast dishes vary, but I think it would be a kind gesture for those who do not eat meat.

We had a great stay! The hotel is perfectly located to explore Taipei and its surroundings. The staff was very attentive. Breakfast was delicious, giving us the opportunity to try local dishes in the morning. The snacks and beverages provided are also a plus. We’ll be staying again in this hotel towards the end of our Taiwan trip.

Excellent staff who spoke perfect English. Great location for public transportation and restaurants/cafes. Free snacks (crackers and ramen). Clean and quiet.

There was a terrible smell coming from the shower drain. I had to close the shower door and the bathroom door to keep the smell away. One elevator for top floors.

Location was great. Easy to get around from the place. It was near the NTU Hospital Station (~5 min walk), and walkable from Taipei Main Station (~10-15 min walk). Ximending and Ningxia are also walkable. Best part would be the free bottled water and snacks you could get every day (so we did not have to buy when walking around the city). The common area is convenient for lounging or eating takeout food. Luggage storage is available before checking in and after checking out. Staff were very friendly - one of them even offered an ice pack when I tripped.

The table, chair, and carpet floor in the room was a quite dusty. Standard double room may feel a bit cramped but still okay if only used for sleeping at night, especially for its price. It did not have any window, closet, with only one small table for placing 1 luggage. Wifi was a bit spotty at times. Room is cleaned every 3 days. Only 1 elevator going to the rooms.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and accomodating. They gave us recommendations on places to eat, told us how to travel to Jiufen via train and bus, and arranged a rental car for us so that we could visit the Taroko Gorge. The room was comfortable, the food at breakfast was excellent, and they had a play area that the kids really enjoyed. We also enjoyed the free snacks! The location was also excellent, right in the center of the old city, not too far from the main train station, national museum, and Chiang Kai Shek Memorial. I would definitely stay here again!

I cannot think of anything to complain about. We really enjoyed the Finders Hotel. I would stay there again.

The room was spacious and the bathroom had a huge tub and very nice shower. The lobby area is great for families with a playroom, foosball table and dart board available for use. Snacks and soda are always available. The guest laundry is fast and inexpensive.

Because the fans and A/C are only activated when a keycard turns it on, the room has a musty smell. No storage for clothing other than a few hangers. Folded clothing had to just be piled on the desk. Because of the way the elevators work, I recommend staying on a high floor.

Finders Hotel is perfectly located in a great strategic location, a walking distance to the Main Station and Ximending. Very close to the Peace Memorial Park. It's really easy to get around! There are also many convenient stores and bus stops nearby. Accommodating staff from lobby to room services. Great buffet Breakfast. On top of that FREE COFFEE, NOODLES, SODAS and more at the lobby. It was also very easy and smooth to extend our stay for 2 more days due to our flight being delayed because of a typhoon.

Finder Hotel lobby can be a bit difficult to find as their lobby is at Basement area and not right at the entrance of the building, so it can be a bit confusing at first.

property’s practice of greenwashing. we informed them our bedsheets were soiled and needed replacing. they refused and told us they will leave clean bedsheets outside our door instead. room’s cleanliness and replenishing of toilet rolls, bar soap etc is entirely the responsibility of the guests. after 4pm the housekeeping takes noticeably longer which the staff informed us about, but leaves an impression as if the hotel is understaffed.

The team was super friendly. Especially Sherry (?) who stayed longer to help me to order food over uber eats, but also small gestures like the helpful room attendant when the keys did not work. He called straight away the reception team and offered my some water while I was waiting. All team members are very polite, and got a 5 star luxury service attitude. I work myself for a luxury hotel brand in Europe and the service at Flinders is what all hotels should be aiming for.

Value for money. Likes the child-friendly ambience even though I do not have children. Both reception and cleaning staffs were extremely friendly. The location is quite convenient, being near the presidential office, which is in itself an attraction. Also walking distance to both Ximen and NTU Hospital metro stations, which are on different lines.

Cleaning was only done on the 3rd day, although one can request for change of towels. However, when the cleaning was done eventually, the cleaning was very well done. It would be better if cleaning can be more frequent.
