The location was terrific, right in the historic centre & the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with a seating area and large separate bathroom. The room was in the loft so had great views across the city centre on three sides from the Velux windows. Breakfast was well presented with coffee machine available throughout the day. There were several reasonably priced restaurants within a short walk of the hotel.

The bathroom had a large corner bath with shower attachment but no walk in shower.

~ Good location. Easy access to the most prosperous area of the city; ~ Room is comfy & looks good; ~ The morning staff is very nice & helpful. My waist got injured but needed to do laundry. Although it’s weekend & hotel laundry service is not available, she asked the house keeping if they could help. Then I decided to bring the clothes to the self-laundry. She lent me an IKEA cart. She even proposed to give me some ice for pain relieve.

The room is dusty. For the daily work of house keeping, it’s okay. Bedding is tidy. Rubbish is taken out. Refill is made. Cup is washed. However, during my 4-day stay, everywhere & everything like hair dryer, tissue box holder, coffee machine, kettle, lamps are all dusty. Wiping should be done when the guest checks out or the house keeping staff finds it dusty.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I think I got lucky to get a room on the top floor, looking east over the low-rise office complex/car park next door. It meant I had a very nice view over the skyline of this part of Ghent and had direct sun coming in each morning to warm things up during the cold weekend I was there. It is a huge room, including the bathroom. It had an old-world charm with the wooden-framed ceilings. It was nice to have a small fridge and tea / coffee making facilities. The breakfast room was very 'gezellig' and the staff were friendly. There is a supermarket literally across the road which was convenient. It is only 5mins walk to the city centre.

The floors are quite squeaky and the sound insulation is not the best. I could hear quite loudly whenever my neighbours in the next room would come and go. It is an old building so I guess you have to expect this, but perhaps they could eventually improve the sound insulation. A number of the TV channels were not working. The breakfast could have had a wider selection.

It was very spacious, warm, comfortable and stylish. The location was perfect and everything worked perfectly.

The large windows were lovely, but meant that the room was not well soundproofed and it got a bit noisy at night. Light also came through the blinds and woke us up early. The hotel would maybe benefit from some small renovations such as new carpets, towels and curtains. However, this did not bother us. My husband says that this was the best hotel he has ever stayed in.

Very friendly and helpful staffs, great locations, 5 minutes walk to all the main attractions, and shop just opposite the street. The room is very warm and I like it very much, with my windows I can see the view of the three important churches in Ghent.

If upstairs people walk heavily there will be a big noise in my room, but it depends on people, like normal walk is fine. Anyways I like my room and the hotel. If I go back to Ghent I will definitely have willing to stay here again.

The hotel was very centrally located and it was very easy to walk to all the main tourist areas of Ghent. The rate was very favourable compared to other similar hotels in Ghent. The breakfast was very good - lots of choice - continental plus bacon and eggs - and excellent bread and pastries. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious with an excellent shower.

The beds were comfortable but very soft - if you like a firm mattress this would be an issue. Also there was not enough space in the breakfast room for all guests to eat at once - so you had to choose a time slot. This worked well on two of the three mornings we were there but on the Saturday there were too many people [perhaps some were not adhering to their time slot?] and it was difficult to find a table. Also the staff were struggling to replenish the breakfast items.

Great location for the centre of old Gent. Helpful suggestions re restaurants. Bed extremely comfortable; shower was top class. Quiet. Breakfast was really good with a big range of choices. Easy to store bags with no charge.

Room lighting and arrangement of chairs were not ideal for sitting. Modern rooms, but not designed as well as they could have been, for a 4-star establishment. No shared lounge. Surcharges for late checkout.

Location was fantastic, a couple of minutes walk to the historic centre. Breakfast was lovely. Everything was very good quality. The fruit salad was fresh, as were the cheeses, , lovely warm pastries. Leaf tea and teapots, great coffee. The staff at breakfast were subtlety attentive. A really good choice for singles, couples, groups.

Booking.com stated that the room had a patio. It didn’t and this annoyed me. There is a shared courtyard which isn’t what was stated when booking. I wouldn’t have booked the deluxe room if I’d known this. The deluxe room had robes and slippers which we didn’t use. It was an attic room on two floors, some people might appreciate this, it wasn’t ‘deluxe’ imo. Also, there was a coffee machine (nice) but got two capsules over a 3 day stay.

1) Perfect location for the city centre, major attractions and tours ( boat and walking tours) 2) Fresh Water in glass dispenser available all day ( environment friendly) 3) Breakfast spread with amazing varieties

1) We were given twin beds rather than double bed even after request and change of room 2) No provision of milk( creamer) in the room 3) Nothing worth a view from hotel windows

location, staff and room was perfect, also breakfast was very fulfill. Just 30 minutes from hotel there is so beautiful miracle full city architecture. In fullmoon night it is still alive, trams are going, bars are working and lot of smiling people in surrounding.

There was outdoor stairs to rich room little more complicated if have big baggage and very tired legs. Breakfast was served just in full hours. If one of hours is "booked full" you have to wait till next one.
