Excellent location, close to transport, sights, bars and restaurants. The hostal has a fantastic kitchen, nice seating areas and a paid laundry. The WiFi is good. The shared bathrooms are very clean and we didn't struggle for a vacant shower. The kitchen is very spacious and has everything you need, including a fridge freezer, microwave, cooker and bottled drinking water. We stayed in room number 1, which is spacious and light with opening windows. We have stayed here before and would definitely come back.

Room 1 has a window overlooking the road which was noisy at night, as was a local bar. Not a problem with good earplugs, but something to consider. Also one of the guests never washed his cooking dishes or plates and the staff had to do it. Not their fault, but something should be said.

The building is an awesome place, industrial looking, spacious and with a lowkey decor. It's right by the centro historic and easy to go places. Loads of good cafes and restaurants nearby. Great park a couple of KMs out, brilliant for running.

It's not protected from the rain. If it is raining you will get wet to come in, go out, go to the bathroom. The entry procedure is a tad rough. You have to ring the bell a lot until some answers. And if it raining, guess what, no shelter. You're literally out on the street until someone lets you in. The lowlight is the bar. I get it that it's not the Casa de Arcos fault but it will impact your ability to sleep. They play music until really late, like 4am.

There was a very disruptive elderly woman there who continually found ways to fall out with people. One or two other guests would have stayed longer but for her presence. She even hovered over a bed and videoed a young man while he was sleeping at one stage. Surely this is harassment. She should have been kicked out. Other than that all top.

Great location in the middle of Puebla. Kind and helpful staff. The bed was not spectacular, but more than good enough. It was clean everywhere. There's amazing facilities, like a gym, a good kitchen and plenty of shared 'living' spaces to connect with other travellers.

The showers weren't amazing. Temperature was easy to regulate, but there wasn't a lot of pressure, which is especially difficult with long hair.

We love everything about this place. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent - walking distance to transport, the old town, restaurants, bars, museums etc. The rooms are good. The shared bathrooms are clean. The WiFi is good in shared areas, so-so in the room. This is the third time we have stayed here, and would definitely stay here again.

The staff was a young guy and he was so friendly. The hostel dorm rooms are spacious and the beds are really comfortable. The dining area is also good for working on your computer. Everything in the kitchen worked well. The wifi worked well for teaching online.

The women's bathroom sometimes smells funny but didn't bother me too much. Maybe it was the smell from the drainage system.

The showers and the dorms were soooooooo spacious!! And it is very central. I also loved the fact it has an in house laundry, a little gym and two living rooms.

The fact that when I arrived there was no one to explain anything and it felt like arriving at a ghost hostel… it could be explained beforehand that there is no staff on site during the evening and the night.

The hostel really surprised me. It's no frills, but really comfortable overall. I've stayed at a number of hostels in Puebla, and I would come back for the price and quality. Basic but comfortable beds, old lockers if you need them. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot and had good pressure. There's a decent sized kitchen for cooking and there is a filtered water station (not always provided elsewhere). Only a five minute walk to the Zocolo, and the fob keys work well to get in and out of the building. Two really good coffee shops with tasty breakfasts directly nextdoor. Miguel and the other staff members were very friendly and helpful.

Only criticism: the pillows could use a replacement. Not much stuffing inside of them.

Location is fantastic, close to the old town, shops, restaurants, bars and public transport. The room was good and shared bathroom very good - clean and lots of cubicles. The best thing was the kitchen and other shared spaces. Would definitely stay again.

Noone was at the property when I arrived at 6pm. Had to wait for about 10/15 minutes before another guest let me in and then another 15 minutes before another guest knew the wifi password to contact the host. Also didnt see anyone any staff at the hostel the next day either. Wifi doesn’t work in some of the rooms
