Cozy family-run hotel. The owners are incredibly kind, speak excellent English (a rare find in Latin America!), and go above and beyond to help guests. They even provided a detailed city guide with tips on what to see, where to eat, and how to navigate the city. The hotel itself has a personal touch—there’s even a nostalgic display of the owner’s parents’ honeymoon suitcases in the common area! The rooftop terrace is a gem, offering breathtaking views of the city and the volcano. The hotel is also great for digital nomads, with plenty of outlets (including USB-C) and well-planned lighting. Plus, there’s always coffee, tea, and water available. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city.

The only minor downsides: very tight bathroom, lack of storage in it, slow shower drainage, and only cold water in the sink. But these small inconveniences are easily outweighed by the welcoming atmosphere, thoughtful details, and exceptional hospitality. A truly special place to stay!

The room was spacious and we had a private bathroom. We arrived very late (the bus from Oaxaca was 1h late) and the staff waited for us to check in (thanks for giving us advice on where to eat at night :) ) The room was clean and had everything we needed. Internet connection stable and fast. On the ground floor there's a large kitchen (well equipped) and common space - we didn't use it a lot, but it was nice. The place seems secure and rather quiet. About 10-minute walk from the Zócalo.

Probably the only thing I could think of as a disadvantage of the place is a rather narrow way to the staircase and the staircase itself. If you have really large bags it can be a bit challenging to go upstairs. But the staff is very helpful with that too :)

Good location, walking distance to the center and zocalo, quiet, safe, super clean, very good shared spaces (comfortable kitchen, dining room, 2 living rooms, patio), super nice owners -- met us when we arrived late at night and provided extra sheets for sofa and a heater (it was chilly in January). Room is large enough although a little narrow, has a bed, sofa, desk, some shelves for storage, lots of light, really quiet at night.

Bathroom is very small, no space to put anything - but we expected that from other reviews. Beds very firm.

Good location, quick walk to the city center. we were also received by very friendly hosts. The rooms are large, clean and comfy, not a noticeable difference from a hotel when you have an en-suite bathroom. Lovely roof top balcony and view.

The bathroom is tiny, hard to open the door when you’re inside. The light is also inside next to the toilet mirror and in reaching for it in the dark, I hurt my toe on the raised wall of the shower. Strange set up but a very minor inconvenience (unless you damage your toe like I did)

Clean and bright. The bed was comfortable and the shared bathroom was clean. There was a portable fan/AC if needed. Hosts were friendly and responsive. There is a kitchen available for needed. Location can’t be beat: just off Parque del Carmen and 10 minutes’ walk from the historic center.

Windows don’t open. Bring an eye mask as there is quite a bit of light outside the room. One night was a little bit noisy from music on the plaza, but the rest of the time it was quiet. Shared bathroom shower only has burning hot water, no cold.

The location is great - all main attractions are in the walk distance. The apartment is clean and new, kitchen is well equipped, you can feel like at your family home. My family and I spent there almost a week. Moreover it’s a great place for remote work too, thanks to 30mbps internet. Last but not least, Daniel the host is super helpful, responsive and willing to provide all necessary information, hidden gems and much more.

location great, just 5 minutes to the zócalo, quiet, kitchen fully equipped, free potable water, free coffee, mattress good, owners very nice, common living room, roof terrace with view on the Popo (vulcano). The uppermost (third) story suite is warmer due to the roof exposed to the sun, but not uncomfortably.

"The Dear" is written on the door that faces the street, there´s no door bell though. You have to ask someone who´s around or wait a little. Possible solution: maybe install a hidden doorbell that outsiders don´t know.

Extremely clean!!! Spotless. There are terraces and patios everywhere. Kitchen is really well stocked with everything you need to cook. The shared spaces ~ kitchen dining room living room ~ are neat clean and organized. Free coffee and tea all day and all night. Owners and employees are muy chido ☀️. It is right downtown. I heard no street noise whatsoever. Beautiful park right across the street. Walk out the front gate and get helados, cemitas, tacos and literally every other kind of food within one block either direction. Oxxo virtually right next door. I didn’t want to leave. I’ll be back 100%. Just do it!

Good location, main attractions at walking distance but still quiet at night. Very spacious and clean room. Clear communication prior to arrival. Kind and helpful staff, especially Esther the cleaning lady who walked me all the way to the street and made sure I would catch the right combi to the station with local buses to Cholula. Cosy common living room. Common kitchen available which looked very well equipped.

Only thing was that little hot water came from the shower. Nevertheless I would definitely recommend this place.

The hotel is located in the historical centre, a few minutes' walk from the main square. The area is quiet and safe. The hotel has plenty of common areas, including a well-equipped kitchen and roof terraces. The room is spacious and well furnished, and the shared bathroom is very comfortable. Everything is extremely clean and cleaned daily. To finish, the owners are very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The room was little cold, but the owner gave us an electric heater that solved the problem.
