We had the Nelson Suite. Nice lounge, very comfortable bed and a huge bathroom with a walk in shower and a bath. Very quiet location with little light pollution. We had a very clear sky one night. Lovely seeing all the stars. Plenty of parking available. Very easy self check in. Amazing choices at breakfast, catering for all needs and requirements. All the staff were a credit to themselves and the business.

At our stay the B&B didn’t have the bar open until the morning when it became the breakfast room. No evening meal options are available here, they do offer full evening services at their sister hotel, in Wroxham plus a 10% discount. The hot water does take an age to come through, being a very old building it’s to be expected however it is a waste of water just running the tap.

Wow, what a gem of a place. Booked one night and received an email with all the info we needed to check-in. We arrived around 5pm (in December so very dark) but the road was easy to find and the lovely tree-lined driveway was well lit. Popped into reception to get our keys and a welcome letter which directed us to our allocated cottage, The Stables. I should have known from how beautiful reception was, but walking into our little cottage blew us away; the place was immaculate, felt brand new and was just so beautifully decorated and designed. The perfect welcome pack included tea, coffee, sugar and milk, plus dog bowls and dog biscuits for our very happy spaniel. Our evening was blissful and relaxing and we had the best nights sleep on incredibly comfortable beds. Even our fussy 7 year old slept like a log! Just when we thought this place couldn’t get any better, we wandered over to the hotel for breakfast... The dining room was spacious and beautiful, and the breakfast was outstanding. We were also greeted by two of the friendliest ladies who welcomed us, asked how our stay was going and what hot drinks we’d like etc. they were a delight. We loved it so much we had rebooked for spring before we even left! I can’t recommend this place enough, it was heaven.

I can’t think of a single thing that this place could improve on. It was just perfect.

We stayed in The Stables and it was immaculate. It was very roomy but also had a cosy welcome feel. I liked the selection of hot drinks. The bottle of water and the chocolate fingers were a nice touch, they even had a little Christmas tree. I was worried about finding the place but it was well signed and our envelope contained directions to our lodgings. Usually there aren't enough towels or toilet roll in a B&B but they ensured that there was plenty available. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and it was all cooked well.

My only gripe would be that the sofa was very low down. However, this is personal preference.

The hotel is on the outskirts of North Walsham and also has a long drive leading up to it. On our last day, while having breakfast, I noticed that the drive had a misty look to it and the sun was slanting down through the trees giving the whole scene a mystical, elven, feel to it. The food at breakfast was plentiful with Continental and Full English buffet, so a bit of both could be had. The room was comfy with a king size bed.

It would have been useful if the hotel could have provided one or two car chargers. Electric cars are becoming more common so there will get more and more visitors using them. I had to go into Norwich to charge my car as East Anglia seems to have a dearth of chargers. There seemed to be a lack of staff; the reception desk wasn't occupied when we arrived nor when we left, and the only staff we saw were the ones serving at breakfast.

Room was lovely. Clean with everything needed. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Lovely grounds to wander or to relax in. Definitely will be going back. Also enjoyed wonderful meals and hospitality at their sister restaurant at Wroxham where residents at Scarborough Hill received a 10% discount on meals. The food was excellent and lovely position on the Broads with Terrace to sit and take in the views. Staff were excellent here too.

Couldn't access Netflix on TV. Although we thought it was available from write up. Asked staff to help but they were unable to get response from Management.

The experience, you felt chilled and relaxed upon arrival and the Stable Cottage was very clean and comfortable. The staff we interacted with at breakfast were great, helpful and friendly.

Upon arrival checking in process was a bit unusual to what I am usual to. Some issue with naming on the documentation left for us to collect. Issue with both numbers left to contact, when called neither were answered or calls returned. After checking out we tried to contact the hotel due to my son leaving a much loved soft toy behind via their email address. As of today, we have had no response from the Hotel to out request for help in tracking out down thus much loved toy.

Rooms are very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Ali is so lovely and friendly and always happy to help, she makes your stay special ensuring your room is tidy and you have everything you need, we just celebrated our wedding anniversary, Ali left a little note by the door. Thank you Ali, we really appreciate your attention to detail and making our stay special. Richard is always on hand to help, thank you Richard.

Other than breakfast there is no food or drink available. There is a bar but only open when there is a party/event. The tea room advertised is not open, it's such a beautiful setting, it's a shame it's not possible to buy a drink and sit in the gardens.

An old Country Inn refurbished to a high end modern standard with some quirky and antique touches. Luxery bed and bathroom with dressing and sitting areas in our suite, large TV with freeview. Set in old woodlands and gardens, lots to explore and a children's play garden. Buffet breakfast had so much variety and was excellent quality. Cottages available for families and close to the coast and North Norfolk railway. We will be back for a longer stay next year and recommend to our family and friends.

No bar or evening meals yet as owners are concentrating on developing the B&B. Not a negative at all to us.

This place is absolutely delightful, we loved the relaxed ambience.The hotel is full of character with the quirky decor and some beautiful soft furnishings that I would gladly have in my own home .The gardens are really beautiful and the breakfast was of outstanding quality ,it would be a lovely place to have a wedding or special party .I would certainly like to stay longer than one night as it was so restful just being there and a good base to visit other local attractions .

We would have liked to walk into North Walsham on the evening for a few pub visits and a look around but the first stretch of road from the driveway has nowhere to stand if a vehicle is coming and as cars were travelling at 60mph it would have been too dangerous, the hotel bar was closed so we had to make do with a glass of water and ordered a takeaway pizza to be delivered. We walked to the bottom of the adjoining field that belongs to the hotel in the hope of finding an exit onto the road at the point where a grass verge starts but it is all fenced off .

We've stayed here four times this year, it's ideal for us visiting relatives in Norfolk. Although there's no evening meal offered, it's situation very close to North Walsham with takeaways and restaurants. Breakfast is included, can't fault breakfast and the staff are very friendly. We've stayed in Lady Hamilton deluxe room, Double room and the Nelson suite. Will definitely stay again, when next visiting Norfolk.

Just one thing that could be dealt with and that is fixing blind to give privacy in the Nelson Suite bathroom.
