All staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. The service was excellent. The food and service in the restaurant was very good. The only issue was the lighting in the restaurant and bar area in the evening was so dim it was almost impossible to read the menu. The choice available for breakfast was excellent and the waiting staff were very quick to seat you and take your order for all meals. The hotels location is lovely, sitting right beside the river. The facilities, parking and housekeeping were all excellent.

The size of the room was very disappointing. We stayed in the Salhouse Suite. For a suite it was extremely small, especially the bathroom. Not quite what we had expected when booking a suite. However, the outside balcony overlooking the river was a lovely addition.

Beautiful rooms, excellent breakfast, lovely staff and great view from the balcony, worth paying more for that. We love this hotel!

I booked a family room for myself and my two children, which was supposed to have a double and single bed. The single bed was a pull out chair bed that was so hard it was like sleeping on the floor, it also had big gaps between the chair cushion sections which pulled out to form the mattress. The staff were very understanding though and replaced the bed with a proper camp bed which was much better, if a little old and springy. Maybe the camp beds need to be refreshed! Can’t fault the service at all though.

Everything. The room was very clean and comfortable,Great view from the balcony. The staff were amazing so friendly and accommodating. Very dog friendly our pooch was allowed everywhere in the hotel. The hotel provided a dog bed, towels and food bowls, plus a bottle of mineral water and treats which were replaced when finished. The selection of tea/coffee in the room was great. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. We only ate in the evening once but the food we had was delicious and huge portions making it very good value for money. Would definitely stay here again. It's a great location for touring Norfolk.

It was in the perfect location for us, had onsite parking, bedrooms were perfectly sized for an overnight stay. Large bathroom with bath and shower. Comfy beds and nicely decorated. All complimentary items were quality and dogs were allowed in all areas of the property. We even got some scrambled egg for our dog at breakfast. Room was clean and smelt fresh, included treats and bed for dog on arrival. Our dog is very picky with food but she absolutely loved it and ate the whole bowl! No dog smell anywhere in the hotel. Such fab, friendly staff too!

My pillow was a little soft for my preference but the bed itself was very comfortable.

The room was a standard double but was smaller than the picture we saw on line when booking - it was though very comfortable the only problem being that the sound proofing between our room and the next was inadequate - you could hear other occupants speaking (and I assume vice versa) and unfortunately one of the occupants had a cough which we could hear during the night and was a little disturbing. I think the management need to review this problem. We have stayed at the hotel previously but not in this room and this was the only occasion we have ever had a problem. Everything else in the hotel - from the reception, the quality of the room furnishing and bathroom and particularly the restaurant (and breakfast) are outstanding.

Such a lovely place, warm touches throughout displaying beautiful art work, something to look at every time you pass through the hallways. The entire team work to a very high standard We stayed in Salhouse room with had a balcony, spacious bathroom with top quality features like Bluetooth mirror so you can play your music whilst showering, large TV, kettle chairs to relax on so your not sitting on your 4 poster bed all the time. Housekeepers - our room and the hotel was spotless. They’re also considerate in the mornings as you can’t hear them outside your rooms like most hotels. Rooms are filled with different teas, coffees, biscuits, water as well as lovely bathroom toiletries. The Shower was powerful and perfect temperature I didn’t want to get out. We got to talking to the housekeeper manager and she told us of some lovely places to go and we did and wow it’s those little nuggets of information that make the difference in seeing some amazing places. Restaurant staff - always quick to serves and polite Chef - 5* all the way, portions were generous and the quality was outstanding. We were offered some taster bread whilst we were waiting for our starters and our taste buds were dancing, if they had packaged that up for people to take on boat trips with a little cheese I’d have been front of line to purchase. Reception / night porter - again really polite always happy to help It was also nice to know they lock the door at night and those who are staying have keys to come and go as they please, it just adds a little extra safety in my opinion

The location is fabulous, the rooms were lovely, our evening meal was lovely and we were looked after on check in, at dinner and at breakfast by the lovely Charlotte, big shout out to her what a friendly, professional and cheerful member of staff.

The reception wasn’t manned when we arrived and there was a mix up with our bill and we were over charged. The problem was resolved quickly and the receptionist apologised so all was well. However maybe a little bit more care with their paper work would help.

Our room was lovely, nicely furnished with great views from the balcony.

Some of the staff in the evening seemed preoccupied with their children who were present in the dining area. There was a lot of loud chatter and laughter amongst some of the staff in the dining room who gathered together. This was unprofessional and disconcerting whilst we were eating and endeavouring to enjoy a pleasant evening. There was also a few young men at the bar who were loud and using bad language. Perhaps the dining room and bar could be partitioned off in some way.

Breakfast was excellent. Room and facilities in room were very good after we had an upgrade. Dinner also met our expectations. Staff were very friendly and competent. Location was exceptional and probably the best hotel and location on the Broads. A very enjoyable stay.

Room we booked was far too small, ideal for one person but not two, so small we couldn't open a suitcase. We asked for a larger room which was a family room but much larger and the bathroom was far superior.
