Lovely atmosphere, staff very accommodating. comfy bed, amazing food definitely if you love your food stay here. Lovely views. I imagine it’s lovely in summer sitting on terrace as gets the sun. Fire in bar lounge lovely in winter. It’s very popular restaurant so very noisy but nice atmosphere. It’s quieter if u go early for lunch or later.

Room was cold. No where to put your toiletries in shower. Need a jug in room to fill kettle as does not fit under tap to fill. In Beech room it’s extremely noisy. You hear all music and talking from bar until well after it closes. Then again early when they are setting up and hoovering. It really echoes up through floor which is a real shame as we would’ve liked a lay in after being at work 8 days straight.

Lovely property, good location, very close to Wroxham, although car most likely needed to get around. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The food is probably the best we’ve had anywhere, absolutely superb!! Almost worth the 3 1/2 drive just to eat! Room and bed/ bedding, very comfortable. Lovely atmosphere in bar area. Would definitely stay again.

Just have one small issue. Had to ask if someone could clean some areas of bathroom that had been missed. This was done straight away. This is a very old house, set amongst trees so there will always be cobwebs etc but just feel a little more care could be taken when cleaning around furniture and ceiling areas and communal stairway. Only a small gripe and would not stop us returning.

We liked the quiet location, well appointed room, comfy bed and pillows. Ability to park on site free was appreciated. The evening meal we had there was excellent and the serving staff were polite and helpful despite being busy.

When booking with booking.com we did not realise that cookies and bottled water were not available. They are available with other bookings apparently. The bathroom was very tiny compared to the one in the room we had when we last stayed at The Lodge. The waiting staff could have training on the wines available as we were given the wrong bottle although the price was adjusted for us as we had ordered a cheaper bottle. Also liqueurs were not known by the waiting staff and they had to go to find out information.

The room was decorated lovely but for the price, a bath would have been nice, even for a triple room. However, the shower was good. The grounds were stunning. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much. The food and drink choices were great too. Breakfast was included in the price too.

The rooms were warm, including the restaurant but luckily our room did have a fan to create some air flow. No iron in the room (maybe we should have asked reception). Music played until approx 11.20pm - it was quite loud and we could hear it over the tele, the bass from the speakers downstairs travelled up. We had gone back to our room about 11pm so we didn't have to hear it for too long. Minor to some but always good to know in reviews. I wouldn't let it put you off staying, it was still a great stay. Its just if you intend to have an 8pm bedtime then it may not be ideal. However, the space downstairs is very social.

Wonderful staff, lovely food, excellent portion size and comfortable, clean room. Will definitely return. It was a busy afternoon and evening in the restaurant with live music which added to the atmosphere! We really liked the fact that the place seemed well organised/managed and the staff were hard working and attentive. It was a pleasure to stay in an owner led chain of hotels where there was a sense responsibility and ownership from the top down. It seemed a happy place in which everyone had a strong work ethic with an emphasis on quality of service not just pure profit. This is quite rare to see these days., especially in any service industry. We realised one or two of the previous reviews had highlighted minor negative things but these issues had clearly been addressed. We don’t think the hotel have time to answer reviews . Instead they put their energy into resolving the issue ! We will definitely return as we liked the place, the great food and the room. Thank-you to the team for making our stay a happy one.

Nothing it was all lovely.

The location was a little out of the way but not an issue. The hotel, the grounds, the room, the public areas, the bar, everything about it was absolutely lovely. A great atmosphere, everywhere was well decorated, clean, inviting, comfortable. The staff were amazing, so helpful, courteous, friendly, always there when you needed someone but not hovering around all the time. The food in the restaurant was delicious, great variety and freshly cooked and well sized portions. Breakfast was incredibly good value for money, with quality produce. Fantastic overnight stay and will definitely stay again. I can imagine in the summer, sitting outside with a long cool drink!

Considering I have paid more to stay in a Premier Inn with no freshly cooked breakfast included, this stay was perfection and that doesn't happen very often. Maybe one or two extra English breakfast T bags in the room rather than the large selection of peppermint, non-caffeine etc.

This is a characterful property set in its own grounds making it a quiet location. Our room was cosy, bed was very comfy (had a wonderful sleep) and a lovely shower. Staff were both friendly and efficient. The breakfast was fabulous - I had the vegetarian full English - good quality and very generous proportions. My partner had the full English which he rated as excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Nothing comes to mind.

What more can I say. Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant location. Very reasonably priced drinks and food. And as for the food, all I can say is excellent. Top quality produce and beautifully presented, definitely a 10/10.

Rooms fine and clean only downside for us being tall would be the beds. Brass bed ends so slightly restricted as small double. It's not a negative, just me preferring a slightly bigger bed.

The hotel was really lovely, the food was good and breakfast included in the price is very reasonable, the bed was really comfortable and it wasn’t too noisy at night ( I do wear ear plugs) had a really good nights sleep only stayed for 1 night hubby enjoyed the stay too not too far away from walks pubs etc.

Nothing really apart from they were a lot of cobwebs lol getting ready for Halloween 🎃

It's a lovely building. Our room was decorated to a high standard and was very clean. The breakfast was superb, extremely high quality ingredients and presentation. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

There was some noise from the extractor fan outside the window but this was turned off at 10.30pm, so didn't disturb our sleep.
