Nice location, quite close to the train station and port. You can find a lot of restaurants and entertainment points next to it. The hotel is under renovation till the end of October but it was quiet during our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered very tasty japanese breakfasts.

Old-fashioned bathroom and maze-like corridors

Great position, close to tram stop cross, so you can choose among different lines which take you pretty much everywhere. 20 min walking distance from the train station. The room was larger than the average room in a hotel in Japan, so the quality/price ratio is quite high. I recommend it for long stays (>5 days)

Nice and spacious clean room, straightforward check-in procedure. Good location, maybe a 5 min walk from the shopping streets. Elevators have quite a bit of space as well.

The walk from Kagoshima-Chuo station is a little bit far, maybe a 20 min walk.

This hotel is pretty nice! The hotel check in went smoothly, and they had English-speaking staff available at the time. (Thank you, Yoko-san!) We were able to drop off our luggage early then come back later for check-in. The room was a good size and very comfortable. It had a nice desk and space for our luggage, as well as a closet and a little table and chairs. I did use the mini-fridge for some drinks, but didn't try the TV. We didn't have much of a view, but that was fine, we didn't spend much time in the room. The beds were the standard hard Japanese beds. There was a huge step up from the main room to the bathroom, though, which was a little annoying. Also the air con doesn't have a temperature control. It was either off, or HOT. My friend used the coin laundry and that went fine, but her clothes were still a little wet after. Luckily we had the HOT AC to dry them off after! Otherwise our stay was quite nice, the room had enough space for us and the staff were really nice! We also ate the hotel breakfast. It's a buffet with Japanese and American style foods available. It was pretty good! We were also quite near Tenmonkan, the main shopping and nightlife district, which was really convenient! The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from Kagoshima Chuo Station, but it's an easy walk. Being in the downtown area was really nice!

The air con doesn't have a temperature control. It was either off or HOT. I'm assuming in the summer it's off or COLD. Also, there was a huge step up from the main room to the bathroom. It was almost 1ft/30cm tall.

Nice size room. Automatic lifts were cool. The interior of the hotel is really nice! Loads of wall sockets in the room. Staff were ok.

A but far from the station but everything in the room felt a little unloved; lose wall sockets, clearly covered-up bedside table and the nosiest air con ever.

Unfortunately I could not make the booking but my friend did. This is his comment on his stay at Hotel Lexton. Beat all expectations, comfortable bed, great facilities, great staff and located in the centre of Kagoshima. My friend was very happy with his stay!!

Usual Japanese hotel experience. Clean, friendly and efficient. Breakfast and service is great and location is very central, next to railway station with all amenities

Nothing to dislike

Definitely a classy hotel, I liked mostly the interior design, a huge hall, a large stairwell allowing you to look up to the last floor, broad room.

Very nicely decorated room and friendly staff. Value for money with breakfast included. Location is in central walking distance to all eatery and shopping arcade. Will consider this hotel if visiting.

the TV.. is a bit confusing to play with, especially when we are not familiar with Japanese language, but its OK :)
