The cleanliness of the shared bathroom was spotless! I loved the fact there was ample storage and space in a small room, the tea facilities were great and a nice selection, the room even had a small sink which i found a massive bonus. When i discovered a horrid smell in the hallway contacted the owner and it was resolved very quickly. Loved the idea of a honesty breakfast service but it unfortunately was not practical as i found out.

It's not really a negative however, I decided on breakfast last minute there were no staff onsite that were able to have replenished the food or milk cartons, in the morning which seemed to disappear over night!

Everything was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great shower. There was tea, coffee, milk and a kettle in the room which was a nice luxury. All amenities were thought of. I was so happy to find that there was a help yourself breakfast. This meant we could eat whenever we wanted. There was French press coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, and juice. A great way to start the day. It was also possible to use their dishes and microwave if you wanted something to eat in the evening. That was very thoughtful. And there were some games to play. I liked that. It was nice being out of "downtown" and near to the sea in a very quiet location. Our host Claire, let us store 2 large bags while we took the train to Scotland which was very helpful. We had excellent communication. She provided lots of very useful information about our stay and the area.

Staff was not on site when I arrived, but explicit directions that were easy to follow were left so that I could successfully gain access to my room. The owner was easily available by phone. Her recommendations for places to eat were excellent. I had meals at 2 of them. The location of the B&B was perfect. I was able to arrive and depart on foot from the train station with luggage. I also enjoyed an incredible adventure walking through a nearby parkland.

The only thing I didn’t like was the room smelled a little dank

Great communication from the owner about how to access the property and being able access the dining room for eg, heating food was really appreciated. Location was good, easy access to waterfront, could walk to town centre. We are travelling with two large suitcases so really appreciated being able to have the ground floor room. We used a taxi from the train station and back to the ferry terminal but it is possible to walk these distances although the footpaths are a bit up and down if pulling a suitcase. Self service breakfast was ideal for us.

There was limited space for our two large suitcases but that would not be a problem for many travellers who are on a shorter trip than we are on.

The views from the bedroom and bathroom were amazing. The room was small but adequate, the room was very clean which we liked and would naturally expect. The bedding was comfortable, extra blanket and electric heater was readily available.

The single bed heard board was banging against the wall, whilst we appreciate it’s a bnb, no one was available to help with our bag and we were on the top floor. Parking was a slight issue, shame there was no allocated parking. All in all our stay was good.

This is a lovely, classic Bed and Breakfast in a house. My room was very nice, the twin beds were comfortable. Tastefully decorated. The host provided detailed property and area information. Location is ideal, near the maritime museum with scenic views.

The house wasn’t heated enough. The days I was there were particularly cold, rainy and windy. The heat in the room was on briefly the first night but shut off in the middle of the night and remained off. The host corrected whatever issue and the heat came back on and stayed on. However, there are no heaters in the bathroom and the towel warmer never worked. The bathroom floors were wet, I suppose due to moisture and lack of heat.

Chose the B&B due to the location to the Stena line ferry port. We had an early morning ferry crossing booked. Perfect location for our trip. The room had everything we needed for an overnight stay.

The rainfall shower. It’s a personal choice and probably wouldn’t be an issue for others but I’d had my hair done for a wedding we are attending in Ireland. Due to the size of the shower, I couldn’t escape the flow of water and found it really difficult to stop my fair getting wet.

It was very practical that the access was arranged with a key box and a code and all facilities were available allowing you to manage yourself and with clear indications on the walls how to handle things. This was a good thing because it meant that I needed not feel bothered that I would demand the host to let me in whilst I was arriving at late night. So despite it feels a bit weird to not meet the host, this arrangement is better if you arrive late and depart early, as I did, having to catch the early ferry the next day. Before I arrived I got an extensive and clear message explaining everything and also giving advice for places to eat and different kind of other stuff I might need. The place is a comfortable, nicely looking classic English/Welsh style I love. All was nice and clean. An extensive breakfast can be taken (I had no time for it). The bed was nice and comfy. There is a nice looking dining room where you can sit and eat. The wifi worked well. So it was comfortable and practical for a traveller needing an easy comfortable place to stay for a night before catching the ferry.

The room was a bit cramped, but it didn't really mind, as I just slept there. If you are on Monday and arriving at 9pm at the station as I did, there are no English restaurants or pubs with pub food opened. There are some Indian restaurants, but they were also closed by the time 22.15 I got there after having gone to the B&B and had also tried in vain the harbour pub (also closed). There was just a chinese restaurant still opened but I didn't feel like that at that moment, It is a 20 min walk from the train and boat station, slightly uphill and no public transport going there. The host had warned I should call a taxi ahead if i would want one, but i decided to walk to explore the town a bit. It was a bit a desolate town at that time, with just some pub goers hanging around.

The instruction in the welcoming text and all around the property are very clear. On arrival, my room was immaculate. From my window I had a lovely view of the seafront. The bathroom was shared but that was immaculate too.

You never get to see the host or anyone else from the property not even for breakfast, apart from hearing the cleaners close to check-out time. The breakfast really is the sour note of this property: there isn't hot food coming from the kitchen, the coffee machine didn't work, the yoghurts were un-eatable cheap stuff. Shame, as being provided with a good breakfast makes a big difference for a traveller.

basic but good value, easy to book and check in, claire was really helpful and the facilities were good and close to the port for our ferry, easy to find. Parking not an issue, quiet location. Would definitely return

Food in Holyhead was harder to find than I thought, one bathroom in the building did occassionally cause an issue especially if you need to get away and several people need the facilities but I assume some other rooms are en suite. Another guest had a barking dog in breach of the booking rules but this is not the fault of the b and b and was sorted quickly once reported
