We have just got back to Yorkshire from a 3 night stay at Trecastell Hotel. Great location with lovely Sea views from the Restaurant area. The food was absolutely spot on, compliments to the chefs. We ended up eating the 3 nights we were there and couldn't fault anything. The breakfasts were so nice too, full English to set you up for the day. The staff in general were great but one guys customer service skills stood out. Unfortunately I don't know his name (Small guy with a Blue polo shirt on as the rest of the staff seemed to wear black). 👍

We stayed in room 9 and the shower was very poor, water could do with coming out more powerful. I emailed a couple of weeks before we arrived and asked if possible could we have a room with a full sea view. I got a reply to say we had room 9 which has a full sea view but it didn't. Room 9 is at the side of the building and you have to bend down to look out as the window is low to the ground and what you see is a small piece of water between 2 houses 👎

We have stayed here before and so were looking forward to a second stay here. The staff are very welcoming and the food in the restaurant is delicious. Breakfast is well organised and the service is superb. The location is great for popping over to visit anywhere in Anglesey or Holyhead. Bull Bay is rather small and very picturesque it's lovely to walk around and explore the cliff top walks and footpaths. Kayaking and swimming off the local beach is great too and it's only a short walk from the hotel down hill! .

The bedrooms are rather basic, the beds were comfortable, but the furniture is a bit old, wobbly and dated and we had a very small bedside table. The bathroom was lovely though, it looked recently refurbished.

I can honestly not rate these enough. The view was beautiful look out for the sunrise on the water spectacular. The hotel is lovely friendly carpark is ample. Do book for evening meal does get visits from locals. I had a standard double sea view and honestly it was perfect. Breakfast is more than enough for anyone. I had small and large it was lovely. Meal in the evening was good. There is a lovely beach bay about 10 mins caefn bay google nearest beach and it will take you. I also love the 20 mph and how it is adhered too. Such a slower pace here. I'm a lone visitor and I honestly felt safe. Definitely will re visit

Nothing honestly

The food in the restaurant was perfect definitely recommend the trecastell chicken beautiful and the Eton mess is devine. The breakfasts were lovely again the food was good and the lady serving was so helpful. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was as required ,clean and fresh towels Large carpark Good selection of drinks gins and whisky Wonderful for a little escape

The fan outside room 1 was a little noisy but it went off as soon as the last meal was sorted around 8pm and didn't turn on till 8.30am in time for breakfast.

Location was beautiful. Overlooking the bay from our room was stunning and very relaxing in the evening after a busy day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was really nice, especially the Sunday roast. The decking area outside was lovely place to sit and chill outside. Overall we had a fabulous stay here and would definitely go back. The perfect place to wind down and relax whilst enjoying the gorgeous scenery.

Nothing really, everything was great.

The hotel was fantastic and even when we had an issue with the mattress they changed it for us quickly and without fuss. The breakfast was amazing and the staff went out of their way to help. We had a evening meal at the hotel and that was fantastic as well. The location is a great base for exploring Anglesey. We had a sea view and looking over the bay with the sun glinting on the sea was magical. We even got the weather, we will be back.

Nothing the staff sorted out a mattress issue with no problem.

Very peaceful relaxing area, hotel ideally placed overlooking the sea, absolutely stunning view. Room 7 was very clean and comfortable, small bathroom which suited us, had a side view over the hotel grounds and we could see the sea! All the staff were lovely and friendly, the hotel had a homely, comfortable feel, nicely decorated, breakfast (we had full English 😋) very tasty and always hot, we dined in the restaurant both evening's we were there, the panoramic window looks out over the sea - fab, food was lovely, very generous portions, for pudding I had Eton mess which was lovely, but my favourite was the Tirimisu 👌with a shot of expresso on the side. A lovely short stay, our first in Anglesey and won't be our last!

What can we say? There wasn't anything we disliked whilst we were there

This is the second time we have stayed here. Lovely location with beautiful views . Rooms clean and spacious with a modern clean bathroom. We had a room at the front with an amazing view. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was lovely-the chicken burger with halloumi was delicious. The staff on reception were very friendly. Our room( 11) was a bit cold-despite the radiator- but my friend's room was fine so maybe just a one off issue. We will definitely return and think the hotel is reasonably priced.

just the room being a bit cold

Beautiful location on coast giving lovely view. The room was large and took a lot of heating which is controlled by a main thermostat in the communal hallway. Unfortunately a resident took it upon them selves to lower the thermostat resulting in our heating not coming on at all. However when I raised the issue it was rectified within minutes. All the staff are wonderful. Friendly and always at hand should you need them. Breakfast was fabulous. Cooked to order and served on hot plates.

Second floor bedroom with no lift may be a problem for some people.

This hotel is a little gem. The location is amazing and the views from both our room and the dining room are simply stunning. I've seen a couple of negative reviews of this hotel and in particular the food and quite frankly I don't understand the negative comments. Food is exceptionally good and the only criticism I could make would be the portions are very generous. The staff are great and make you feel very welcome. Its a great, small , friendly, family run hotel.

Only the weather!
