The bath tub was dangerous….the tub was the width of my two feet sideways and with the slope in the tub it wasn’t safe….you couldn’t turn around safely to get to soap/shampoo that was beside the the shower pipes….a grab bar would help…definitely not safe for older people. While the sink looks nice it’s not practical as the counter would get soaked due to the configuration of the taps….very dark room and bathroom…yellow lights are used which for us women that like to put makeup on you can’t tell if you look like a clown by putting too much blush on.

All staff were very friendly and helpful.in particular Georgia was great and Sophia was excellent, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menus etc. The rooms were modern and I liked the styling however with lack of maintenance they will tire and fall apart very easily. The tap was loose and already parts were missing on the shower assembly and it had had repairs already. I think this will be become a real problem going forward as the receptionist said the parts were no longer available. The loose tap and loose toilet handle were sorted when I reported them however so that was good but working in the building trade myself I know these issues will return. The designer for these rooms didn’t really allow for these issues when choosing the finishing touches around the bathroom areas in particular. The sanitary products chosen were too fussy and not the best quality for a hotel facility and therefore will not last in opinion. Hope this helps

See above. The full English breakfasts were described as having 2 sausages. Every time I had this it came with 1 sausage so the chef needs to revisit the menus I think! Also whenever I requested scrambled egg option on a few different breakfasts the amount was very stingy just a little more than an egg cup amount lol.

I love this old Inn, and have eaten here before. The room was very comfortable with a large double bed. The over-bath shower was excellent. The Pub and dining area have lots of character. We had a lovely dinner in the bar. Breakfast was also served in the bar, which was included in the room price, and you could order a freshly cooked hot breakfast which was very yummy.

Service in the breakfast area was a little slow and took a while to take our order, however as well as accommodating staying guests, the breakfast restaurant is open to outside custom, so it got rather busy. I could see why, as the food and atmosphere is very good.

I stay at Premier Inn regularly which I like. This was a notch up on Premier Inn for me. Room decor easier on the eye and good attention to detail. Better TV, window opens. Breakfast was a classier affair as well and especially for me on a Gluten Free diet. Well done. Hotel is quiet as well and Green Man pub better than a Beefeeter. The reception was very helpful in finding me a room on the 'dark' side of the hotel.

You should know the car park on the 'iight side' of the hotel has unusually bright lighting which is on all night. They say they have black out curtains which I would be confident still work given the good general state of the hotel. But that is a risk to a good nights sleep. The only area Premier Inn better for was Pillow choice. Why can't British hotels get pillows right ?

The receptionist was amazing. Very friendly welcome. Room was lovely. Extremely comfy bed, fixtures and furnishings were lovely. Was so pleased with the very nice box of mixed teas, coffee, biscuits and chocolate. We particularly liked the very nice crockery and glasses in the room. Some very nice touches. We had breakfast and dinner both days and we could not fault it. The service was great and the food gorgeous.

We honestly couldn't fault this hotel. There was literally one thing on the morning we were leaving, housekeeping tried to enter our bedroom without knocking at 9.30am. Luckily we had the chain on the door, so couldn't open door wide. My husband was in the shower, I opened the door and the maid said she wanted to clean the room. We found this a little rude, as we were not due to vacate our room until 11am.

We requested an accessible room, which proved to be generous in size with a very big bed and a separate sitting room. The bathroom was suitably equipped, with a higher toilet and grab rails. Kettle with range of drinks and biscuits, and fresh milk on request. Plenty of parking. We ate well in the pub dining area, and were very well looked after by a competent, friendly and attentive team.

The emergency cord system seems to give out regular high-pitched beeps - although perhaps many people wouldn't be able to hear them! Because the accessible room is near the entrance, there is a certain amount of noise from people passing along the corridor through a squeaky door. Warning: Not their fault, but make sure you know how to find it via Harlow's less than friendly road system!

From the moment I arrived I knew this was going to be an excellent stay, the lady who checked me in was so positive and chatty and after a long day of travel plus starting my new job it was a welcomed conversation. The room was absolutely lovely and decorated to a high standard, the bed was comfy (and I am very particular about beds!) great shower and bathroom, loved the addition of the fan which was useful as I arrived in a mini heat wave of 23c, the hospitality tray was stocked with quality products and replinshed daily (great cookies!). Due to the age of the building there was little in the way of noise from other guests, the WiFi dropped a couple of times but nothing to warrant complaining about. The area is quiet with a co op about a 5 minute walk away, there’s a park if you want a walk out before or after work etc. Breakfast was of a high standard and delivered with a smile and chat, I had dinner on my first night which was also lovely. Very impressed and greatful for the hospitality at the Green Man and hoping to be back again when I’m needed to work in Harlow. Thank you to everyone 🙂

If I’m being picky I would say the room was a little dark but I soon got used to the warmer bulbs and it really was of no real issue to me.

I've stayed here a few times and always had a pleasant stay. Rooms are always spotlessly clean and the decor is lovely (it has had a refurb a few years ago). Nice and quiet location with parking onsite - the rooms are located in a separate building behind the pub. Breakfast at the pub is really good with a buffet of cereals, pastries, fruit, hot and cold drinks, juices, as well as cooked breakfast options. Staff are all super friendly including the night porter who checked us in on this occasion. Thank you!

The mattresses are a little hard but there is nothing else we'd fault about our stay.

We had been warned by our local friends to expect the worst, based on experiences in the past, but they were very wrong:, the Green Man was a really pleasant surprise. It has been fully renovated, and the decor is fresh and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and warm, and really made us feel at home. Our dinner in the restaurant also exceeded expectations. It was fairly standard pub food but well-prepared, plenty of choice for those in our group with food allergies, and all served with a smile.

Breakfast was not quite up to the standard of the rest of our stay - would have preferred a bigger, better quality breakfast buffet selection rather than the cooked to order hot food. The food and the service were OK, nothing to complain about, but just not at the same level as the accommodation and dinner.

This is our 2nd visit to The Green Man and we we're very happy. We had a couple of rooms for my daughters wedding and they we're great. We will definitely stay again. We like the quality of the rooms and the food is top notch. Fab selection of breakfast choices!

We we're a little disappointed the breakfast finished earlier than we hoped, 9am finish is quite early and although we we're in there at 8:20am we felt a little rushed. The breakfast waitress wasn't very friendly and started clearing away the continental side about 8:50am.
