The room was very neat, only that we saw a blood stain on the bathroom shower which was not from me or my partner. The breakfast was great, with enough coffee, tea, and sugar, but the milk was not. The hotel is in an excellent location - not far from both the bus and train stations, and also has shops around it where someone could quickly go and buy what they need. So, I like the room, the location, the environment, and the staff services. I will be at St James again.

I don't think there is anything that I don't like about the hotel and its services. The only thing I can say I don't like is the limited channels of the television in my room.

The room was clean and tidy nice furnishing But was very noisy during the night from noises of people outside swearing and shouting Also the bathroom wasn’t the best as it had a shower over the bath which being disabled I couldn’t use apart from that the staff were very helpful and polite Breakfast was excellent The location was good close to the station and a really nice view of the Grimsby minster The price I paid was not the price advertised I saw the hotel on line for £179 for 3 nights When I arrived I was told it was £260 for 3 nights I don’t know why but I paid anyway

The noisy room with windows that where very difficult to open

Lovely hotel, staff so friendly and helpful and relaxed atmosphere. Facilities very good and everything you could need for a nice stay and good drinks tray including decaff coffee and biscuits and room very clean. Breakfast was good value for money at 7.95 with the voucher given on checkjng in. Good location for access to town and buses with good free parking facilities. Nice meal in restaurant. Hotel excellent value for money and overall a lovely stay overnight whilst visiting relatives.

Not a complaint about hotel but such a shame about down and outs gathering outside of hotel on cathedral green and could see they were a problem for the staff and were being a nuisance by coming into hotel to complain about silly things.. Felt sorry for the hotel having to deal with them but saying that felt safe when going for cigarette as smoking area at the back in private car park. Maybe a suggestion would be to block off entrance to cathedral green and have the one entrance in the car park where maybe it would be more difficult for them to gain entry? But maybe that has been tried I don't know. Only issue was room was very warm and couldn't open windows but slept comfortably with fan supplied with room so not a drastic issue.

I liked the building itself and found it was close to all the amenities I needed, the staff were exceptionally lovely and were always willing to go above and beyond to help with anything needed throughout my entire stay at anytime both day and night , the rooms were comfortable and clean and all amenities were covered including parking, lift and easy access for my disabled mother.

There was nothing that I disliked about the property I was highly satisfied with everything and would recommend St James hotel to anybody visiting Grimsby.

we like the st james it close to town and to family that lives in grimsby the staff are helpful and will help with any problems you may have

the st james is a super hotel BUT it needs a bit of love and attention things like dirty marked carpets some of the paintwork is flaking off AND WHY OH WHY do you put the flimsy usless bin liners that you use they are rubbish you have plug sockets on the wakk above the units so low the wire on the plug wont bend enough to put the plug in and the carpet in the dinning room is disscusting with stains and dirty marks all over do an undercover boss and see your self

The staff are absolutely amazing,they went above and beyond to help us, and they all work really hard. The beds we're very comfortable and plenty of towels and hot water. Tea and coffee in the rooms. Tv. Evening meals in the restaurant where delicious.

Bedrooms could do with updating. On busy mornings, they could do with another chef/ waiter. Bacon/sausages needed to be cooked a bit longer, but that's my personal preference. Very hot on landings and bedroom, but there was a fan, which helped a bit.

The stay is always good but let down this time as I always get my breakfast included with my stay witch like do all time and i come on regular basis 4-5 time month to see my kids but this time wen got here staff trying to get more munni from me but I added breakfast wen booked it in with price like do each time so I refused to pay extra I have paid less before when I come with breakfast included.si after this experience this time as made me start thinking ov taking my business elsewhere as to me breakfast is the most important meal ov day so thanks st James hotel for having me start my day grumpy and Hungary

The view of the Minster after a £20.25 upgrade from the view of the Car park made all the difference. Polite happy staff. Willing to help and accommodate. Good lighting choices.

Bathroom needs updating.. Lots of repairs. Leaky hoses. Chipped and filled loo seat. Metal frame window sliding sash awkward. Shower curtain needs to go. All round okay and clean. Booking.com need to mention that it's owned by the Corus chain. This helps with sav nav. finding the place.

It was in the town center with lots of shops nearby and a shopping center. From my window I had a view of a church. The room was big,clean and had the essentials for a 1 night in. Hairdryer , toiletries and coffee making facilities. Reception was really friendly. There is a restaurante and bar. I would recommend this hotel. We booked without breakfast, but when we checked in, the lovely receptionist offered us a voucher for a £3 discount on the full English breakfast in case we changed our minds. Next morning we went down for the breakfast and it was really good, nice hot food and it was worth. Full English was great. Easy check in and out.

I just thought the TV (19") I believe could be bigger.

I stay here about once a month and always find it really comfortable and all the staff are very helpful. The rooms are nice, beds are comfy and everything is very clean. Great location and always good parking facilities

Some of the bathrooms could do with updating, some bathroom floors are stained quite heavily. As an electric car driver I would love to see the charging port in the car park get fixed. I think this would be a real asset to the hotel with more electric car drivers on the road.
