Fantastic room everything you need to cook your own food there even washing up liquid and cloth . Bathroom very nice , extra towels and toilet paper. Even has hair drier . Bed very comfy and large . Lovely white clean sheets and loads of pillows. Nice touches like coffee maker , kettle and books telling you about area . Fridge was on when I got there , very cold . Windows open fully to allow cool air in . Reception very helpful, even asked if I would like to order pizza. . Good parking.

Room was well designed. Very useful to have a kitchenette to prepare simple meals, and we liked the fact there was a table and two chairs in the room to sit at to eat. Room was comfortable, clean and it was very quiet. All staff, including the cleaner we met in the corridor, were very friendly. Location was brilliant. Easy to drive to, free parking at the hotel or directly oppostie, excellent transport links to the centre of Caen and close to places like Bayeux and the Normandy beaches. Supermarket / shopping centre short walk away. We would stay there again.

The only negative was that we had to ask for clean towels, as the ones in our room had marks on. However, the receptionist dealt with it really quickly, politely and apologised, so dealt wih really well. There is nothing else negative to report!

The view of the trees and the sounds of the seagulls and waves at night were lovely. The location was ideal for visiting the University. The proximity of the supermarket and the tram stops made it a convenient place to stay.

Although there is a kettle and coffee machine in the kitchenette, there's no power point - possibly because it would be too close to the sink.

Small studio style twin bedded room - just what we needed while travelling and much better than camping! Beds very comfy and nice linen. Good location in a quiet area in the middle of the university campus but near a tram stop with quick and easy access to central Caen. Plenty of parking. Helpful staff.

Bathroom a bit dated - could do with an overhaul.

We stayed here on our way home from Spain. Well placed in Caen for the Ferry Terminal at Ouistreham. It is well located for a supermarket and there are a few places to eat within a kilometre, though probably not the best Restaurants in Caen. The car Park was very busy when we arrived but we managed to get a space, there seems to be a University Campus next door so maybe that was why it was busy as it emptied later on.First impression was that it was a little basic but once in our room it was actually pretty good. We had a studio which had a small kitchen area but quite well equipped, 2 ring hob, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment, coffee machine, microwave, even a mini dishwasher with a dishwasher tablet provided and some washing up liquid. there was a couple of saucepans and a large frying pan, which was adequate to cook a simple meal. Crockery, glasses,cutlery and kitchen utensils were also provided. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and a king size, there was a small table and 2 chairs so sitting to eat a meal was possible. There was also a TV. The bathroom had a decent shower, shower gel was provided. There was also a hairdryer. Breakfast was provided in the room rate but we prepared our own in the room, from what we were told the breakfast was quite basic. There are no reception staff overnight so you are given a code for the main door. We would use this place again if travelling through this area.

It had everything we needed

The freezer needed defrosting, the sheets on the sofa bed were not properly cleaned. We found a bug and hairs. People outside under the window were chatting until 2am in the morning.

The bed was very comfortable, with nice bedding. There was a kitchenette which had everything that was needed. The room & bathroom were very clean. We are disabled, & had a room very near the lift. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment.

There was a smell in the bathroom.

The room was clean and neat. We didn't have our room cleaned while we stayed that entire week but that was okay cause we were quite busy with work. Kitchen maybe needs a plug point for the kettle and maybe a movable counter for food prep-space.

The access code changing often and no staff available if you get stuck outside at night. Also, parking was terrible and too small.

Absolutely great position for the ferry but also to get into Caen or up to the coast. I had driven that day from Nice and arrived after reception had closed but the self check in was excellent and easy. Safe free parking right outside too. Really very good. Oh also you don't need to check out till 11

The only thing is there is no ambient lighting in the rooms. It's very bright and stark.

After reading the reviews I didn't expect much but it was better than i expected. Clean tidy had what we needed

Cutlery only 1 knife and 2 spoons 3 forks and tiny cups but we got by ok
