Beautiful recently redecorated house. Very friendly and considerate hosts, extremely helpful and willing to provide dinner each evening if given notice. Pascal is a great cook and this option is highly recommended, his culinary skills are great, and it also avoids going out. Approach roads are quiet but narrow. Very quiet location but beautiful Dordogne country side and towns. Large garden with swimming pool but not used by us.
All good

We absolutely loved our stay here. Sylvie and Pascal are loving and generous hosts and the house, gardens and rooms were wonderful. We rented the little apartment with a kitchen and living room and a seperate bedroom and it was great! A big comfortable bed, a very well equipped kitchen, a lovely terrasse outside, a spacious bathroom with towel heaters, bathtub and shower...beautiful views everywhere! And everything was very clean and selected with care. The breakfast was lovely with homemade marmelades and other local produce. We enjoyed our stay, it made our time in this region extra special and we will recommend this place to friends and family!

Firstly, the cheerful welcome we received . We stayed in the Marqueyssac gite which proved to be very comfortable. As we stayed towards the end of September we ate the wonderful breakfasts inside. We booked and ate two evening meals during our five night stay. They were both delicious, Pascal is an excellent chef. It was fun sitting around the large dining table with our hosts and other guests. Sylvie would translate between languages if necessary. We used the sun beds by the pool one afternoon but we didn’t swim. There are a lot of interesting places to visit in the area. I think Sylvie and Pascal have thought of everything…..we had a fabulous stay.
The narrow country lanes in the dark. Otherwise nothing.

I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay at the beautiful and comfortable Les Chenes Rouges. Sylvie and Pascal were kind, accommodating, and very thoughtful hosts. I was traveling alone and with very little French language skills, but Sylvie speaks excellent English and made sure that I was comfortable and included at dinner despite the other guests only speaking French. Dinner, prepared by Pascal was absolutely delicious by the way! Upon my departure Pascal was kind enough to drive me the short distance to Les Milandes along with my huge suitcases and make sure that I was able to store them safely in the office.

Beautiful homely feel, room had nice linen bedding ( I liked it. Partner said it was itchy) Very quiet and out of the way. Let us check in early. Fresh made breakfast Silvia was absolutely lovely and super friendly and wanting to give us attention.
Small room. Moved the chairs to fit the bags. Bathroom window not frosted so can see into drive and garage. Although private makes you aware in the room. Toilet had spiders. Not an issue to me but maybe to others. No where private to hand wet clothes from swim(but that’s only as I’m picky)

Well, where do I start! This is a gem of a place to stay, the rooms were exceptional and so were the hosts Sylvie and Pascal. Their attention to detail is spot on and the facilities on offer, including a beautiful swimming pool was excellent. They provided an evening meal which was amazing (all homemade by Pascal) and they made us feel like we being entertained by friends. Although the location of the accommodation is rural (very close to the Chateau Milandes) everything was provided for you. I cannot recommend Les Chenes Rouge enough and will be back in the near future.
Everything was perfect

Lovely quiet location featuring an exceptional Gite/chambre de hotes with very attentive hosts. We enjoyed being able to eat on site and Pascal’s culinary delights were outstanding both at breakfast and our evening meals. Such a variety and excellent quality.
Nothing to dislike.

The property is in a very scenic and peaceful location minutes away from chateau Milandes and within easy reach of several restaurants by car. The rooms/gîte are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean with all amenities present, breakfast was lovely and the hosts were very attentive and friendly very deserving of 10´s all round. Thank you for a lovely stay I wish we had spent longer.

Everything! Sylvia and Pascal, were amazing and very friendly hosts - they invited us to dine with them and the other guests. Pascal created authentic and delicious food both for evening and breakfast! Nothing was too much trouble . The room and facilities were very comfortable and tastefully decorated with plenty of outside areas and swimming pool.
Nothing at all

Our hosts, Pascal and Sylvie, were delightful and helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated, and we enjoyed our one-night stay very much. We chose the location due to its proximity to Beynac Castle, which we wanted to visit as it was the home of some of our ancestors, and we also liked that it was out in the country, quiet and private.
