Clean and comfortable for an overnight stopover with good air con. Affordable and close to Umpherston sink-hole so we could see the possums at night (fussy little critters prefer grapes over apple). Nice restaurant at South Eastern Hotel which has big affordable meals just on the corner.

No freezer to keep our ice packs cold for a day of travel the next day. Walls are a bit thin so we could hear a very noisy kid next door.

Clean, fresh smelling room. beautifully presented. Plenty of tea and coffee provided. Also, quite spacious, compared to some. Bed was fine. we had a good stay.

Reception close early, but people have to have a life so that's OK. Entry is through a steep driveway (that is not a problem) and we almost missed it. A little more signage might be useful. Really, there not much we didn't like.

Blue Lake Motel is a cozy place to spend an overnight at Mt Gambier. The budget triple room was clean and tidy. The glass door fridge was new and with big capacity. Thanks for the free biscuits.

The kettle and toaster need to be replaced. They were old and dirty. The blinds couldn't block the whole window, so the outdoor light got through. Also, the aircon and fridge were very loud. These issues were not friendly to a light sleeper.

Location was convenient, it was really near the Umpherston Sinkhole and the main street was about 5 mins away... the room was newly renovated (I think) with new cooling/heating unit... check-in was simple and quick... Parking was right outside our room which was an advantage for us given we travelled with a baby...

Place is little uphill, it would be no issue if you have a car but if you don't going out would be a challenge

We expected an older little tired retro type place, like we used to remember in the 80’s & 90’s Room was perfectly like that, really comfortable bed and couch, newly refurbed bathroom, flooring all comfortable, clean and not worn out. Great views over the town as the sun went down and night lights came on.

Shower took a long time to get warm, but once hot it was great.

The BBQ/kitchen facility. Everything we needed in the room was supplied. The location was good. Took our last min booking on a long weekend. Was very grateful.

Our room was serviced without us knowing. We would've been ok without someone coming into our room with our personal belongings laid out. If we knew someone was going to service the room we would have packed everything away. Nothing major.

Fantastic atmosphere, the best motel I've stayed at in the mount. And the only one I'll book from now on. Location was good for my needs, a short walk to the south eastern pub for drinks and dinner. Very quiet motel

Leaving back to Adelaide

Easy last minute accommodation. Friendly staff. Room was easy to access, comfortable and equipped adequately. Location ideal. Not town centre but close enough to the pub and quiet at night. Good shower and a good night's sleep too.

Our only issue was that the TV froze every time we put the bathroom light on! Don't ask me how that is possible but we checked it a few times and it definitely was!! Nothing else of significance to report.

Fantastic hot water & shower pressure. Very comfortable bed. Free WiFi. View from the room wonderful! Location very convenient to local pub & town.

Window edges need painting. Fan in bathroom noisy & didn't extract hot shower air very well leaving mirror fogged up. Front of room hot in full sun - maybe some shade sails would help. People next door extremely loud slamming their front door constantly! Walls very thin between rooms - could hear next doors child screaming & crying.

Handy to town and nearby pub, clean, tidy, comfortable. No ataff on site till 10am and no freezer. Would certainly recommend this motel.

The lovely new fridge did not have a freezer so i couldnt freeze ice pack overnight. Tried to get a staff member but no sign, i did find a kitchen but no fridge at all in there.
