The view is clearly the main selling point for this property. We also enjoyed having a bottle of wine in the barbecue area while the sun went down. It's conveniently located at the end of Swansea's main street, so everything is within easy walking distance.

The room itself was pretty dated, particularly the bathroom (very dark and daggy). I've never been a fan of brown towels. I thought the price we paid did not really reflect the quality, but I suppose we were paying top whack because it was so close to Christmas.

The sea views are just wonderful. Many hotels talk about the sea views only to be disappointing. This Motel is just as described. I loved sitting on my verandah and painting the sea around 10am. The sun hitting the waves at this time, had everything sparkling. Wonderful with a nice cup of tea on the little table and chairs on the verandah. The staff are busy but are very friendly. Nice people and very helpful.

Great location with beautiful ocean views. We originally only booked one night, but was so good, we booked a second night. Helpful, friendly staff, nice, quiet area - hearing the occasional wave crashing on the shore was very nice. Easy walk to the eateries (we ate at The Barkmill Tavern and Bakery the first night, went back for brekky on our way to Freycinet the next morning and the RSL Club the second night - great meals at both locations). The room was bigger than most motel rooms, and the balcony overlooking the ocean was a bonus. Definitely recommend for your stay in Swansea.

It was a last minute booking but everything went like clockwork with it. My room was spacious with a balcony that I could look out from and see and hear the ocean. I had a dining setting inside and one outside although within seconds of taking food out there I had about seven seagulls hovering overhead but none came any closer, maybe due to the plastic guard owls that were on the rail of the balcony (with heads that nodded in the breeze). The bed was comfortable as were the indoor dining chairs. The staff member I met in reception was friendly and helpful.

Only small things: the sink wasn’t in the bathroom so it was able to function as a sink for both the bathroom and the kitchen area. There wasn’t a hook or rail for the hand towel. The TV was mounted in about the only place it could be but it had a hair-trigger on switch and it came on a couple of times as i obviously walked too close to it making me jump out of my skin a couple of times.

We had a front row ground floor unit and it was very comfortable sitting outside for a sundowner in the evening

We are travelling for holidays and like to cook prepare some of our own food. Its healthier and cheaper than eating out all the time. The facilities were a bit lacking for preparing our own food. You don't need a hot plate or anything just some where to prepare a salad or the like

A motel that looks like it has been around for a while but was still in good condition and has a terrific position next to the shore, overlooking the northern part of Great Oyster Bay. Rooms with a view of the bay are a bit extra, but well worth it.

Not much!. Curtains and some other fittings old and a bit clunky. Awkwardly placed with the mian entrance right on a bend and road junction. But you quickly adapt.

My wife and I stayed at the Swansea Motor Inn on our recent trip up from nipaluna (Hobart) to kanamaluka (Launceston). The Motor Inn is fantastically located on the foreshore with uninterrupted views of the bay. The room was clean with great amenities. The staff were super helpful etc. and it's located opposite the IGA for any grocery needs. No air-conditioning but there is a pedestal fan and with the screened window open we fell asleep to the sound of crashing waves and a gentle sea breeze.

The units are very close together with the balconies open to the neighbors conversations etc. We heard the bloke next door go out onto the balcony to fart haha

A very neat and cute motor inn in the centre of this small town and right on the water. Being a motor inn, the room is on the older side, but it is clean, spacious, and full of character. The owner was very friendly and gave recommendations for dinner, breakfast, coffee, it was lovely to spend an evening in this quiet seaside town.

We were upgraded, The room was great for me as I have need a walker to move around. The room we were given was a room with a disable shower and chair. I really appreciated this. The view was incredible also, and we were able to take the early morning sunrise over the water. I would love to thank the lady my husband spoke to. He said she was very nice.

The motel was total beachfront so the view was incredible! We had a beautiful sunset, BBQ on the beach side with the view, clean room. Had a microwave and some crockery and cutlery which enabled us to have our meals in our room.

Old style motel. The price was the most expensive in the whole of Tassie, with this motel being one of the oldest. You pay for the view.
