The room was nice and clean, and everything was in order. No tedious or long line for check in with the kiosk— practically all of one minute went by and I was ready to go. I was greeted by friendly staff and given a brief overview of the facilities prior to heading upstairs. The decor was fun and modern extending all the way into the room. Though there was a study area, I prefered to stay in the comfort of my king bed and got all of my project done on time.

The pricing for the location hit me as a little odd. For $245 you're pretty much you're in the slums of Chinatown and suddenly there's a clean garden and quaint seating area. While there are boutiques and whatnot immediately to the right of the hotel, there isn't a drugstore nearby should you need anything like painkillers or hairspray. It's pretty scary at night, and a seven minute walk in a dark area as a woman alone can feel like hours completely isolated.

the room was tiny ( as in most places in New York ) but perfect for one person. The view was great, the bed very comfortable. The hotel location is excellent and 2 minutes walk from the metro if you are coming from JFK. The rooftop bar has great cocktails and excellent views. Bonus: it is full of quirky art and a 20 floor staircase covered in grafitti! The breakfast area is fabulous. Book directly with them and save at least 6%.

It's not my first stay at CitizenM, and I like the overall concept (bigger investment in common space, and small but very convenient and clean rooms). The room was very quiet -- well done! The free sparkling water dispenser was a hit! My wife even checked the company's name to buy one for home, but it seems to be a B2B thing.

I booked the Bowery one due to the rooftop space with large windows and supposedly nice view. But I couldn't use it, sadly -- it was very packed and noisy due to laud "music" ("boom boom boom ..." type of "music"). No healthy options for breakfast, but there are a few good breakfast places around the hotel, so that's not a big issue.

The location is great! It is near Spring Street where you can find fun shopping, great dining, fun night life and lots of people out and about. The hotel is so unique with just a right amount of edgy vibe, but not too crazy. Services are for your comfort and the common areas are great for working if you need to. The rooms are smaller but well designed.

The immediate location is developing and you can see the changes with restaurants and retail types. There is still the old Bowery mix in the area, which is great. Hope this doesn't go completely away. It isn't crazy busy like it is just a few blocks away. Hope the new development keeps some of the history in place.

the location of the property is great. loads of great bars and restaurants on the doorstep. close to nolita and soho shopping too. as others mentioned can be a bit grim with homeless, but nothing overly concerning. the rooftop is a great spot for a drink

rooms were genuinely too small for 2 people with luggage. if only staying a couple of nights would be ok but we stayed 6 and it was difficult. we had dirty sheets in first room we were assigned, changed rooms. both rooms had random hairs down side of bed. with bed being up against the window I’m not sure how easy they are to change and clean properly

fourth time in this hotel: the quality remains unchanged. + excellent location for travel (proximity to several subways) + the area (attached to little italy and china town and full of places to eat and shop) + staff: reception staff polite and helpful and never intrusive + room: comfortable bed and powerful shower. To note: for ecology, they offer a cleaning service every 3 nights by default, but depending on your needs you can request it more frequently. + a place where you can sleep not disturbed by the noise of the city (in NY it is not taken for granted) + mini fridge in the room to keep some drinks bought outside + exceptional rooftop (not available for under 21s) As evidenced by several reviews, the area is also home to an increasing number of homeless people, but we have never had any problems and the hotel staff do their best to keep the small public square in front of the hotel a livable place.

- a small electric kettle in the room or a nespresso (standard now present in many structures even at a lower level) would be an improvement desired by many loyal but unheard guests. - there is a lack of an automatic laundry inside the hotel for those guests who travel "light" having chosen a structure where the space of the room is secondary to the quality of sleep.

The rooms were small but super clean and comfortable. The coffee is great and the breakfast although it was small it was very tasty.

The hotel was clean and modern. There was an iPad in the room where you could control everything such as lighting, blinds and the tv which was a nice touch. The breakfast was pretty good as well!

The area was a little sketch with some homeless people roaming around, but that's just NYC for you. Unfortunately, the AC started leaking in my room and the floor got wet. There were no other rooms available for me. I was supposed to get a refund for this incident, but I haven't received one yet..
