staff were excellent and attentive. Food was excellent. Enjoyed the entertainment on the Sunday night in the bar area, was unexpected and great craic

although the room was clean, there was a smell that the bathroom was cleaned with either a dirty mop or cloth. the leisure facilities, I was disappointed with the hot tub and jacuzzi as they did not seem to be working

The spa/pool suited our needs brilliantly. As a couple, we were able to unwind and enjoy all the facilities fully. It was great to have the use of the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and pool. The food in the restaurant was incredible. Cooked to perfection. 5 star. The food was complimented by the view from the terrace. It made for a very enjoyable evening. The staff in the restaurant/bar were extremely pleasant and helpful, and the live music (a man and his keyboard) was brilliant, catering to the crowd and bringing wonderful entertainment. A thoroughly memorable overnight stay for two tired parents who needed a night of luxury.

A small note would be that the bedrooms and the foyer could do with an update. This in no way takes away from the overall experience, but something that may be considered down the line.

Love the place have stayed many times

Having been before many times hence returning yesterday i found none of the usual experienced staff in the bar restaurant manly young people without any guidance the same could be said for breakfast this morning. however the food was brilliant as always. not going to moan but as for the leisure complex the hot tub out of order although it hasn't been working properly for years and the steam room wasn't working. possibly this area is in need of a refurbishment. however I would still recommend the Ballyliffin it is a Beautiful hotel in an excellent location

Room was perfect with a cracking sea view. We booked dinner in the bar and staff members Hollie and Anthony made our dining experience fantastic with recommendations from the menu and great banter everything we ordered was delicious and there was very little left when we finished. Breakfast was hot, fresh and plentiful . There was something for every member of the family, staff were very attentive and friendly. We had breakfast on the terrace which has a spectacular view of the sea. A lovely experience in a lovely hotel we will definitely be back.

The receptionist was lovely (Shannon) was more than happy to help with information and directions,the food was delicious an well presented , friendly atmosphere lovely gardens well kept , cocktails where well put together staff where not far from table if anything needed

The leisure facilities looked more glamorous in pics than in person an hot tub wasn't working properly an the facilities where small for amount of rooms , wasn't much atmosphere after 11pm most hotels have ice maker on floors but wasn't too much bother walking down stairs

Food for both breakfast and dinner was unreal! Breakfast was spot on for dinner I got the pasta and my partner got the monkfish and chorizo special. She is lactose intolerant and the server was on top of it, cant remember her name, small lass with dark hair and glasses. We both worked in hospitality and know the score, but for her age she was on top form in terms of info and good craic. In general the staff were unbelievable. In terms of politeness and knowledge as well as general craic.

Think this is our 3rd stay and first review, kept meaning to do one. The area is brilliant, if a little too quiet, could do with a trad session, maybe you do do them but the nearest place for a session is a half hour walk. Which considering Dún na nGall weather in general let alone winter isn't great. But hay hoe. Also steam room could do with a little more steam in er.

Breakfast was of the highest quality opertunity to serve yourself from a great verity on display and main breakfast served by staff, not often the case nowadays. Dinner was well presented good choice on menus and taste was fantastic . Sorry we were unable to stay longer will be back soon

None, everything was perfect from chequing in to the leavinfg. Views from the hotel was something to savour and gardens well presented. Everything kept to a high standard.

When we got there we found out that there was a wedding ,we love this hotel but sadly we got no sleep, we rang down to see how long the music was on till ,we were told 1am it was after 2am before the music stopped .This is the first time I've went home tired 😫. It was are anniversary on the 14th August but we couldn't get that date,I checked on the 15th and got a room,but we'll be back but not when there's a wedding on . James &Marianne Lyttle.

Everything about the Ballyliffin lodge an spa was amazing staff where truly the best people from front of house bar restaurant leisure housekeeping staff they where all lovely helpful kind it is very clear to see that there is a good work relationship between staff as everyone seem so happy 😁 absolutely would loved every aspect of this hotel it is in the beautiful place over looking the sea an beach near by along with golf course, tsuch a relaxing atmosphere would highlight recommend visiting I forgot to mention the food in the restaurant was so well price an was so well presented an tasted so good . Absolutely nothing, it is a great hotel

The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. The vegetables were always cooked to perfection which is often overlooked when catering for a large number of diners. The vegetables were also presented while very hot and they were clean, no butter or oils added, absolutely excellent. The accompanying fish and meat was superb. We ate in the hotel most nights. The breakfast was very good also.
