Very clean, everything was there you'd need. Bed was lovely and warm plenty of covers and pillows. Location was great quiet at night and just round the corner was a selection of places to eat, like the powderkeg, which was excellent too. Staff were great, super helpful especially as my daughter left her purse behind and she immediately got onto us. Thankfully we were still in the area to collect it.

More channels on the TV, just basic TV which doesn't have much on these days. There is a cracked heater on the wall in the second room, but that was all which otherwise was a perfect room.

We were upgraded to accommodation which included a kitchen and this was really helpful to us. Very clean, with a comfortable bed. Yes the facilities are a bit dated, but plenty of room and everything we needed for our two night stay. Absent staff were friendly and helpful too. Ohakune is going through a bit of a hard time due to uncertainty with the ski field - we felt really sad about this during our visit because it is a spectacular area.

The staff was very nice. Calm and silent place and room, which was good. Good price. But it was low season. It could be different in high season. Refridgerator in the room Close to the railway station which was good for me who travelled by train. That also meant that it was far (2.5 - 3 km) to the shops, other businesses and most restaurants. The town center has moved from the railway to the big road.

The room was cold in the night but there was an electric heater. So the temperature was acceptable with the heater. No desk and chair in the room but that was availabe neaby in the common room.

A nice clean modern room with bathroom, with very comfortable beds. Just outside the city center, but still reachable by foot. The location is very quite at night. Sufficient parkingspace available. Area is also very attractive, sightseeing locations all around. The village has diners, a large growcery store and shops.

Actually no complaints at all. Only when checking out it was a bit unclear how to do so. Wanted to handover the key and thank the hosts for a lovely stay, but they where not aroud.

Great location, we booked the 2 bedroom apartment and it was very spacious and well laid out for a family who are there to ski. Lots of room and plenty of storage for things like ski gear etc. The kitchen was good although, we were a bit worried as the smoke alarm looked like it was right above the cooktop. So we used the lodge kitchen which was well stocked and organised. Lots of parking off street and we left our ski's on the roof the whole time. The spa pool was really good too. The location is great, right at the base of the mountain road and a couple of minutes walk to the bars close by.

I thought the pool table should be free ($2.00 a game) although it is a lodge too.

The host was friendly, and I felt safe and secure as a solo traveler. It would have been helpful to know the accessible hours for the lodge at check-in, but when I returned from visiting family at 10pm the main doors were open anyway.

Upon arrival, the room was quite cold, but it warmed up nicely after I turned on the wall panel heater. The bathroom didn’t have heating, but that was fine since I changed in the studio area.

The motel/lodge is very well situated, directly on the road to Turoa, and close to nice bars and restaurants. We had a late check in (11:30pm), and the team was ver accomodating, leaving the room open with keys inside, and clear instructions to go to the room. We had a appartment with 2 rooms (6 beds in total). We were positively surprised by the quality of the place, with good beds (a bit too soft for one of them, but no complains for the others), and quite a lot of space. The kitchen was well equiped too. We only stayed 2 nights, but it would be a great place for a week.

The room was pretty cosy and warm and the beddings were very soft and comfortable. There was also an extra single bed in the room which was nice. There is only a kettle in the room and a fridge however, there is a shared lounge near the reception where there's a big kitchen for cooking which can be used.

The kitchen/bathroom area was in the same place so the only available bench space to put the kettle was the sink bench as it felt a bit crammed. Just had to be more mindful about going to the toilet, having to wash my hands near the kettle while its boiling.

Great friendly staff, great location. Close to walks and great pubs. Beds were fantastic especially considering the price and style of accommodation. Stayed in the loft studio, which was very spacious and comfortable.

How to access WiFi was very unclear. There were a number of vouchers around our room that all were expired and reception was closed by the time we realised. Wouldn't have mattered as WiFi reception in the room was so bad it wouldn't stay connected for more than a moment anyway. Definitely a point they could improve on.

Travelled to mount Ruapehu and stayed here for one night. Absolutely loved the whole experience, from the warm welcome at the reception to the comfy room and the cooking amenities. The room was nice and warm! Supermarket is a 5 min drive away and the kitchen is nice and clean:) Will definitely be back again!
