Hanoi Center Silk has a truly wonderful location! On the street there are several cafes and bahn mi stores, several pho/noodle places around the corner, fine dining at Chapter, massage/nail spas, and close to the city sights (St. Joseph's, shopping, nightmarket, etc.). Several restaurants on the street are mentioned in the Michelin guide/Bib gourmand - a foodie haven while being a quieter street at night! On top of that, the service was wonderful. I had a large family (11 people) all with different requests and tastes and everyone (but especially Henry) went above and beyond with recommendations, bookings and reservations for an older group of relatives. Sheets and towels were soft, toiletries smelled good, and there were good supplies and snacks in the room! The rooms were huge but the service is what really makes this hotel worth a stay!

Some rooms didn't have a view (personal preference - one of the rooms in the family room has no windows) and the bathrooms were a bit worn/dated. The location and service more than made up for it - I'd give a 9.5 if I could as these are preferences! The other hotel silk boutique hotel is on the same street and they look almost exactly the same so several of us kept walking into the wrong one by accident!

The location of the hotel is excellent. The street is quiet, which is important in a city where traffic can be crazy! I stayed in Room 708 for 7 nights. I had a small terrace which actually I did not use. The bed was very comfortable, and the silence enabled me to sleep very well. The hotel is very clean. Good shower. Good air con, which I needed. Bottled water is provided each day. In reception, there is a constant supply of tea, cookies, and bananas. The staff are excellent! Henry, Giap, Michael, and Emily all work hard to make sure that their guests have everything they need!

There was nothing I did not like!

Staff were very friendly and attentive. They allowed us to check in early which was very appreciated after a long haul night flight. There was a slight issue with the room we booked (balcony room) not being available due to a leak on our first night which was disappointing as we booked it specifically for the balcony. However, the room they gave us was very similar just without a balcony and they gave us a discount because of this. We were then moved to the original room the following night so not a huge issue and we appreciate it was out of their control. They also kindly provided us with tea on arrival and a bag with water and snacks on departure. There’s also complimentary water, tea and coffee in the rooms which was nice. Very good location, approximately 10 minutes walk from old quarter.

Overall very clean in bedroom and bathroom, but the shower area was not as clean as I’d have liked, however it’s a slightly older hotel (like most near the old quarter) so mostly wear and tear issues as opposed to not being cleaned properly.

The location of the hotel was great, right in the heart of the old quarter surrounded by great cafes and food. What really makes this hotel stand out is the staff, they really went above and beyond. Henry, who helped us booking some tours especially, when my partner cut his thumb during a cooking class Henry came with us to the hospital (even though he’s scared of hospitals). He translated for us with the front desk staff and even with the doctor - turning him a little grey! He saved us hours and really saved the day. The whole team was lovely and I would highly recommend staying here. The room itself is a little snug but has everything you need and had a great view of the city, plus the location means you don’t want to spend a lot of time in the room anyway. We would definitely stay here again

Ok. So here is the run down so make sure you read this. The place is situated in the best location in Hanoi without a doubt. It's close to absolutely everything and you are living in the quietest street in the old quarter. Its right next to the world renowned Pho 10 and the street is one way and has coffee places etc everywhere. You are walking about 10min to everything. Lake, Note cafe, beer street, puppet show. Now if you are booking trips, I didn't realise but these guys book everything. I booked my Ninh Binh through them and it was amazing. I should have booked HaLong but we didn't know at the time. They'll message you on WhatsApp so trust them and book everything through them. Great prices and personalised service. The family connecting room was huuuuge. We stayed with a family of 5 and the place was exceptional. The front desk staff are probably the highlight. Everyone of them were polite and friendly. His place was the highlight and we stayed in every major city in Vietnam.

Maybe breakfast but who cares. There are places everywhere that do it and you are in Vietnam so walking for food is custom.

Everything!!! The facilities were great, very clean accommodation and brilliant location close to the old quarter. The staff are very kind and friendly. Henry, the senior hotel manager was amazing in accommodating all the requests. I have extended my stay with them as I felt very comfortable and have booked two tours ( Ninh Binh & Halong Bay) through the hotel which were great and Henry has organised them and kept me updated as they had to be changed around due to the typhoon. Overall, an amazing experience and I would recommend this hotel in a heart beat 😊

Everything was brilliant. No negatives.

The staff were always available and ready to help. Their hospitality was definitely my most appreciated detail of our stay. Each staff member greeted everyone warmly and provided personalized conversation and extra services without hesitation. That being said, the hotel itself is very conveniently located, and the accommodation is clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable stay in Hanoi.

This is entirely based on my pesonal preferences. I cannot say that there is any downside to this hotel aside from the price (which is still not unreasonable).

Literally from the second we booked - I think it was under 3 minutes, we received a mail from the team confirming everything and offering to help with any enquiry prior to traveling. When we arrived they were already out in the street to guide the car in and welcome us. This is how it stayed the whole time we were there. There was fruit and drinks offered and nothing was ever a problem. The manager Jay took time during the check in to give us insider info on where to go and saved all the pin markers in Google Maps so we could find it all later.

Here and there a few touch ups are required but they explained they had just taken over the building and were working on these things. To be very clear nothing had any impact on the stay or the enjoyment of the facilities and anything we pointed out was attended to immediately.

The hotel was clean, and well functioning, also thanks to Henry and the rest of the amazing staff working there! My room was very comfortable and of offered space and lots of light, coming from 2 different windows. The curtains were thick, so I was not disturbed by the light, in my sleep. The toilet clean, with a large shower, beautifully adorned. The room had lots of little details all around to make my stay more comfortable: I was even able to do some work from a nice desk. I also tried the laundry service and that was impeccable. I have to say this again: the staff has probably been the kindest, nice and more efficient I have ever encountered at a hotel.

The property is located in the middle of the Old Quarter and it is definitely easy to explore most tourist attractions and areas from there: I walked everywhere, being able to get to destination within 15 minutes max. Located on a small road, with basically zero traffic, my room (and I guess the others as well) was very quiet, and yet had a nice view on the surroundings.

ROOM The room was extremely spacious and the beds very comfortable. SHOWER The best shower on our visit to Vietnam as we always have issues with the drains not draining properly but this was fantastic ARTWORK The artwork and decor was lovely NOISE We had no noise which was great as Hanoi especially Old Quarter can be noisy. LOCATION Perfect location with no noise and great little eateries ie Bahn Mi place next door was amaaaazing and love Egg Yolk for the best egg coffees STAFF Well all I can say is that this hotel excels because of the great staff they have. Jay, Henry, Michael, Wiliam and Leah were amazing throughout our stay. Jay knew we were sick a few days before we flew back home and kindly arranged a sandwich and fruit for us as we stayed in the room for a day or so and he would message and ask us how we were doing which is so so caring of him, and Henry escorted us to the pharmacy around the corner and back for medicine. These are the things that make a hotel stay special and will return for sure and stay here again. Thanks so much guys!!
