Located just round the corner from the Bus Sur station where the bus arrives from Ushuaia and only a 5-8 minute walk from the main square on a quiet street this is a great spot. Not immediately obvious among the many hostals in the area, there is a small sign outside. Downstairs there is a nice reception area with tables for breakfast, a small lounge area and some rooms. More rooms are upstairs. Our room was at the back (so nice and quiet) and upstairs (and very hot, so perhaps worth trying a downstairs room in the warmer months of the year). Clean and comfortable, with a great shower. We had to catch an early plane so left before breakfast but they kindly provided a packed breakfast for us to take with us.

Good location and pretty central to the town center. Host was very nice and we were able to drop off our bags in our room before check-in time (even though we couldn't actually check-in). Room was pretty comfortable and the shower was good. We had a room on the second floor, so luckily didn't have to worry too much about sounds from our neighbors. The staff is really nice, and they prepare a small boxed meal for you if you're leaving very early in the morning. We got a sandwich, a cereal bar, and a juice box. The regular breakfast was really great also. They provide some scrambled eggs, rolls, toast, yogurt, cereal, and some ham and cheese. There's also a little panini maker if you want to make a grilled cheese sandwich. WiFi was pretty reliable as well.

The rooms need to have darker curtains because the sun was in our eyes as soon as it rose. The curtains are kind of sheer and really don't block out much light. Made it hard to sleep in and get the extra rest we needed after two weeks of backpacking and hiking. The pillows were also really flat and should be replaced -- made my neck hurt from the lack of support. Would also be great if they could add a chair or stool or something because there was nowhere to sit besides the bed.

Great location next to Bus Sur and a couple other bus stops if you are traveling by bus. Room is spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and responsive to messages via booking.com. We let them know our arrival time in advance and were able to drop our bags in our room even though it was a bit earlier than normal check-in time.

While the neighborhood itself is quiet, if your room is on the first (ground) floor, you may hear people coming and going from the entrance and in the common area right outside your door, and also footsteps of the guests upstairs were a bit loud. Not a big problem for us, but if you are light sleeper, you could consider requesting a room upstairs.

Very short walk to bus station. Easy walk to restaurants. Our room faced the street, but did not experience any traffic noise. Comfortable beds. Good Heating in room. Clean. Excellent breakfast. This is a very simple, clean, safe place to stay for short time. The price is right. I rate high because it is a bed, breakfast and private bathroom,clean, no frills value for your money. Our reason for choosing this location was close walk to bus station.

We never did get hot water only warm, no heat in bathroom. Thin walls, our room right next to front door that slammed shut till late hours. Could hear people waking up and down the stairs. Can hear the people above walking. Things do quiet down later in the evening, but inside noise in unfortunate.

Very nice stay. Courteous folks. Very helpful and out of their way for breakfast which was the normal breakfast you get in most places but they added extras. Room was small but just what I needed. I did not use the shower but note the hot water takes a while to come up for the sink. For the price, you couldn't beat the location, right down the street from getting off the bus.

For the price I would say nothing could have been better.

The hostel was waiting for us although we arrived around midnight. This is a small homey place. Our room with three beds was very small, but we only needed to sleep. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the lobby with the map. Also, check out is at 12, which is much better than 10 or 11, as in most other places. Staff is very helpful. Credit card was accepted -- no surprises here.

The room was very small and very hot. We turned the heating off and it was ok then. Internet was not very strong, but it worked (unlike most other places we stayed in Patagonia).

Just the noise insulatio was a bit of an issue. We had a room next to reception/common area and you could hear every conversation like people were in our room. Also people walking in the room above is - again, it felt lime they were walking in our room

We had a perfect stay in hostal ventisqueros. Jose was very attentive from the first moment, explained the highlights of the city and even arranged transportation to the airport for a reasonable price. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. The place looks newly renovated, just as shown in the pictures. Breakfast is a true highlight in this property, there was coffee, tea, milk, different juice options, breads, and pastries. Please do not hesitate to book here! I would come back if I had the chance.

Great little private hotel with an attentive host who knows how to run an hospitality business an does it well Kind thoughtful and attentive. Translation app dealt with any communication issues. Host provided gratis packed lunch for the 10 hour Bus trip from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia

Would have been nice to have had some elevated space other than the bed for suitcase. Getting a bit old to pack and unpack from the floor

Very friendly staff (always super helpful even with our limited Spanish). Good breakfast with very nice breakfast/seating area. Very good location easily walkable from the Bus Sur terminal.

Room could use a upgrade: beds are very soft and not super confortable. Private bathroom would also benefit from an upgrade: although everything was fully functional, the shower water temperature was very difficult to set correctly (either too hot or too cold).
