Ideal location very friendly staff day and night cosy and comfortable if a little tired but does not detract from the cosy homely relaxed feel of the place breakfast basic but enough to enjoy the start of your day will definitely use your services again when visiting friends and family local was also very pet friendly our little travel cat enjoyed the view from the window watching the wildlife
Nothing to not like really could just do with a face lift would say our travel cat would have enjoyed the room better had the double glassing not have broken down leaving a mist on the inside of the sealed units for a better view of the birds in the shrub all in all though relaxing and comfortable

The booking in system with confirmation form to sign. The location was excellent as a halfway point stop over from Doncaster South Yorkshire to Crystal Palace South London. Perfect next to A1 for ongoing journey and a rear room where didn't hear any A1 traffic noise - which was a pleasant surprise! Lovely hot shower. Be able to take buffet breakfast back to room.
It is nice to be able to have a complimentary buffet breakfast but the space was too small (for seating and collecting food and drinks) when a lot of guests decided to have breakfast at the same time - hence why I took the food back to the room.

We stayed here 2 years ago and thought it was pretty good for the money. When we were back in the area, it popped up on Booking again. I think it's actually improved since our last stay. There were a few little things last time, but this time they seem to have addressed all the issues. The room was spotless, the bed really comfortable. Great TV, free WiFi. Overall, I couldn't fault the stay.
There's nothing really that I didn't like. Just be aware, the breakfast they include is a cold breakfast. Cereals, toast, juices, tea and coffee etc. It's a great basic set up, and goes beyond what others offer for free. Also, if you prefer a cooked breakfast there is another restaurant on site.

The hotel was great for what we needed, just a place to sleep and shower. To be honest, for the price we paid, I think it was fantastic! Breakfast was a bonus for the price. Room was good, bed was great and clean. Tv was good and helped to keep the kids entertained. Front bedroom was a bit noisy because of the motorway, but that was sorted with the fan the hotel lent us. Staff are helpful.
It was better than we expected, so overall very good. The breakfast area is a bit small, but because the weather is good, we could eat outside.

Let’s face it for £60 for a family room for the night with a light breakfast you really can’t beat the price! I had realistic expectations and to be fair the room was clean and comfortable, lots of parking for free and friendly staff. It was value for money and we were only staying over for a family party in Biggleswade, so just needed a comfy bed for the night, 2 adults and 1 child, we had room 28 and they even made up the sofa bed for us! It was very peaceful at night and we slept well. Breakfast was toast , preserves, cereal , tea, coffee and fruit juice .. all included in the price and help yourself !
I would say my biggest complaint is that there was no hot water, the shower was cold ! We literally ran the hot tap only for over 2 mins and it didn’t get any hotter .. I like a hot shower myself, but if you’re into ice baths and cold showers then perfect !

Great value and the perfect location for visiting relatives. The room was a good size and had what we needed for our stay. Decent restaurant on the site (Coteys) which had a good selection of foods and drinks at a reasonable price. Surprisingly quiet considering it's proximity to the A1.
Some of the fixtures and fittings were looking a little tired but probably to be expected at this price point. Bit of a short run up out of the car park to join the A1, could lead to some heart stopping moments.

Best value accommodation by some margin, for a visit near family. Everything you need and more for a brief stay Free Wi-Fi and trays to take toast and cereal back to your room. So glad it's there offering a no frills option. Even bath sheets rather than towels which is much appreciated.
Nothing - people who complain about a budget option which offers clean and comfortable accommodation, parking, on site restaurant & with light breakfast included need to give their head a wobble!

the room was clean, bed was cozy and there was no noise! i travelled all the way from Norfolk so a pleasant stay is a must so i was very pleased! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There was a breakfast spread on your way out too which was a nice touch, unfortunately i was rushed for time so could only grab a piece of toast to go! There's a restaurant called Coteys a few seconds walk from the lodge, and the food in there is affordable and tasty. The staff are polite too. Oh and there's ample parking too outside the lodge. I enjoyed my stay.

I booked 10 rooms for a wedding. All rooms were acceptable with regard to cleanliness but could do with updating. Beds are reasonably comfortable although our mattress was very soft. Great shower. The receptionist Chantelle was very professional and extremely helpful. Breakfast is continental with cereals and toast although we all went to coteys which is next door and had an excellent full English. Hotel is in a really good location for an overnight stay
Nothing really to dislike

It's with pleasure and a clear conscience that I awarded this charming little hotel maximum rating. It's a gem as is the separately- run but adjacent restaurant on site, which I used for an evening meal on both nights of my stay. The restaurant is open for freshly-cooked hot food all day and evening. Regarding the hotel, a staff member is available at any time and the price along with the facilities are unbeatable. A simple free breakfast is also included. The location is easy to find alongside the southbound A1, and near to a junction where the northbound carriageway is accessible via a roundabout and underpass, just by the historic town of Baldock.
Absolutely nothing.
