Room was large for a European city hotel and had a convenient mini fridge. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. 12.00 checkout time is also a plus. Overall a good stay and a great location since the Hbf connects to every S/U-bahn line.

Pillows could have been more comfortable, and there wasn't much in terms of a lobby. No hotel bar and the breakfast was overpriced. Went to a nearby cafe for less money than the breakfast would have cost.

The room was nice and clean. It had everything I needed. I could also ask for an Iron at reception, which was handy. The roof terrace has a beautiful view over Hamburg. The location of the Hotel is excellent. Any shop that you can think of is right around the corner. Going for a stroll next to the Elbe is close by and there is the main train station across the street and the U-Bahn in front of the door.

It is slightly dark in the room if the curtains are closed. There is no light in the main room except the bedside lights. The showerhead kept sliding downwards while I was showering, but it didn't bother me too much. I would have liked a gym in the hotel.

1. The room key cards worked effortlessly and smoothly. A reassuring big powerful bright light came on immediately to let me enter my room. No anxious moments moving the key card around, hoping for a light to come on, as I have experienced in other hotels. 2. After a shower, you simply push the shower door out, away from you, making for an easy exit. In other hotels the shower door has to be pushed inwards, thus often squashing you. 3. Location: diagonal from the Hauptbahnhof: EXCELLENT! Being close to the Hbf means that I was close to the departure of the Hop on, Hop off bus and to trains and S-Bahn 1 to the airport. 4. The breakfast room was lovely! Wonderful choice of food and beverages. And there were newspapers on hand to read.

I didn't especially care for the flat, rectangular bathroom sink, as traditional, deeper sinks work better, but not a big deal.

Perfectly located for train travellers, with only a 3 min walk to the Hamburg Central Station. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff and a good breakfast.

If you want to visit central Hamburg it's a bit of a walk. Also, the hotel architecture and interior is in the "large box optimized to fit as many guests as possible" style. A very comfortable and scrupulously clean box, but still a box.

Excellent location near main station, old town and the Binnenalster. We were able to walk everywhere to see the sights during our stay. Comfortable room with 2 chairs, and cupboards to store bags and clothes out of the way. Very quiet, even though on the main road. Very good buffet breakfast.

Lighting was subdued, would have preferred stronger light for reading. Shower door leaked. Air-conditioning was OK

Really close to the central station, good value for money, friendly staff, renovated installations and delicious breakfast. Also, it was the first time I saw things like a bonus in euros in case you don't need room cleaning during your stay (I never want, but it was the first time I received money for it).

My room could be slightly bigger, I had a minor issue with my reservation before arriving at the hotel that I think could be solved beforehand and I wish the hotel had a gym.

Having stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past I always book this again when in Hamburg because of its location close to the main train station and quality of hotel, having always found the personal friendly and always willing to help.

During previous stays having arrived by train the location being close to the main station was a positive for me. However as a disabled traveler I chose on this occasion to travel by car, knowing that there was the facility to park directly at the hotel wasn't an issue but chose beforehand to double check this with the hotel and was informed that the park garage was under the same address for our sat nav. On arrival needing to drive around the block looking for the garage entrance it would have been helpful if the information sent to us beforehand would have included the entrance to the park garage being next to the hotel main entrance. This said we found the parking charge of 25€ was higher than that offered by the main station parking across the road

Great location close to everything . it was very clean and we had two blankets. The view was amazing straight to the streets. we had clean towels every day. we arrived late at night, and to check was very easy we did it through a machine that also gave us our room keys.

the fridge didn’t work so well and we needed to put food there ,the cleaning lady came every morning at the same time while we were asleep and never really cleaned our room or cleaned the garbage.

The facilities, for example the clean and comfortable bed, the beautiful and orderly bathroom, this room has all the neccessary equipments and very nice view. Everythings hier are worth the money I spent, next time when I come to Hamburg, this hotel will be my first place for stop ❤

If they could, I hope that they can change to another tissue in the bathroom, it is quite easy to torn and leaves a lot of paper scraps after I wiping hand :(

Great location! Excellent breakfast! After hotel wifi registration to H rewards programme received daily ticket to public transport for free! Very kind offer from hotel! With ticket to public transport were posdible to take all U-Bahn, S-Bahn, busses and city boats (reccomend take Nr 62 which goes over big part of Hamburger port). Daily ticket itself is worth of 8Eur/day. Would be happy to visit Intercity Hotel again.
