The hotel was beautiful and reception and bar staff were very helpful. It was a 10 min walk into the centre. The room was very clean and comfortable. The room facility's were excellent, the coffee/tea tray was great and the addition of robes was a nice touch. I liked the different bins for recycling and the full size bottles of bathroom items. The breakfast was very good, good choice for room service. We didn't use the leisure center but good that there was one.

Room was a little chilly on arrival but the heat was on timer and came on later. Silly item but somewhere to hang the hand towel beside the sink would be good.

The hotel was quite good, and it had excellent facilities (lobby, restaurants, active club and pool area). The room could have improvements, it was a little dated, bathroom too, but they were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was really good and exceeded our expectations. The buffet area and restaurants were beautiful, and the staff was helpful and attentive. The children's menu was quite impressive, I had never seen so many options for children in restaurants. The pool area had a nice children's pool, and the reception desk staff was great too. I would recommend a stay there (couples, families with children) and would stay again in the hotel.

The room was a little dated, bathroom too, they could be renovated (especially bathroom), but beds were comfortable. There were no outlets near the bed and my husband uses a CPAP machine to sleep. He talked to the reception staff, and they provided a long cable socket outlet and left it in the room, so all was resolved in a few minutes.

Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was quite dated but worked perfectly.breakfast both mornings was good with a good variety of options. We ate in the bar restaurant both nights and both were extremely satisfied with the food. The pool also is fantastic and the kids pool flowing into the adults pool is great!

Had to ask both nights for a steak knife which shouldn't have to be a request once steak is ordered. We also were left alone a long time the second night and would have had more drinks if we were asked. Overall though the rest of the service was brilliant. It was clearly advertised that no cots were available but this would be a great option for smaller kids. Luckily, ours was just about big enough for the big bed.

There was a great variety of breakfast options and the hot options were delivered promptly. The waiting staff were very attentive - used items were cleared and not left taking space on the table. All staff we interacted with were very friendly and polite and happy to provide recommendations which is something we really appreciate.

The room temperature was a bit too warm for us as a family, however that may be simply because we tend to prefer cooler bedrooms. It was possible to lower the set temperature on the radiator control but that was automatically reset daily.

We really enjoyed our three night stay last week. I would have liked to have known in advance that your restaurant and bar were out of commission due to renovations. However your staff went over and above to make our stay memorable and I will consider a return visit.

Friendly staff,in every sector,within the hotel,the level of hygiene was excellent throughout, food and drink was also very good,, both breakfast and evening meals,and finally a visit to the leisure centre was a great experience, with a fantastic facility available,where we were welcomed by really nice staff, We would definitely recommend a visit to Hotel Kilkenny *****

We could not find fault with any aspect of our visit to dislike

The bar has really nice decor and staff. The food we had, was nice, pasta carbonara and stir fry noodles. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The night staff accommodated us with a late night pizza.

The lift was confusing. Floor 2 is like the basement level and the reception and entrance level was 2. Also our rooms were slightly delayed but to counter that, we got a drinks voucher while we waited. Check in time is kind of late so I made that error I guess.

Beautiful traditional-yet-modern property; gorgeous decor throughout; rooms exceptionally comfortable with every facility you could need (seating; iron; hairdryer; tea/coffee facilities; night light to guide to bathroom; wardrobe space; robes/slippers; well-placed plug sockets with standard + USB ports for charging devices; high quality bedding & pillows); food exceptional; staff friendly & helpful.

This would be perfect if we were staying overnight. We stayed for five nights. There was no room to put anything. A small wardrobe with 8 hangers in it and two tables side draws, one of each side of the bed. We lived out of our suitcase for the whole stay. Breakfast was very tasty the first day and then it kept getting steadily worse.

The room had been renovated to a high standard and was clean and comfortable. The shower was fantastic. Stayed in a room on the ground floor and was able to open the window for fresh air which was great. The breakfast was excellent and included varied food choices including vegetarian and was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parked the car in the hotel car park.
