The property is very arty with lots of artistic sculptures or drawings that should amuse you. The view of the mountains is superb and breath taking. The room I had oversaw as well the tennis courts, pity it was cold season so no games on. The towels and robes are nice and thick luxurious kind. The facilities are fantastic, with not just sauna, hot pool outdoor, waterbed, steam room, with areas around to relax. One of the best breakfast buffets in terms of both variety and quality.

While I appreciate the design, some people do find the bedroom and furniture settings to be a bit cumbersome (in the sense that design overshines practicality). Thus the conveniences to access some things are not quite put as priority, or the tap for instance was not easy to open and close.

We loved the staff, the lovely waitress in the morning for breakfast and GABRIEL at reception in particular, he is amazing and his positivity and happiness added to our experience at this hotel and we will come back because of this. The spa was free, all 7 spa rooms and a lovely little pool, the top up the mini bar everyday - it is a great location next to Migros supermarket and the Zermatt station as well as Gornergrat Bahn! We will come back next year with our family :) thank you Gabriel :D

The TV was small but everything else was lovely

Inspired interiors with all of the amenities and a central location. The staff and location of Backstage made our stay in Zermatt very special! It was a wonderful treat to relax in the spa and enjoy the intrepid cocktail bar. With a top tier breakfast and cloud-like bedding, we did not want to go home!

Enjoined the relaxing and rejuvenating spa many afternoons during our time but, would love to see some of these spaces refreshed and reimagined the next time we stay.

I didn't know this, but there's a free shuttle service being offered by the hotel! This is definitely a plus. They even brought us to the station on our last day. Technically the driver of the shuttle was going to do it. But since we were leaving so early, the hotel gave us a stub and paid for our taxi going to the station! The staff were so caring and friendly! I'd like to especially commend Jo who went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable. The other staff members were great, too. I just wasn't able to get their names. We even met the owner of the hotel by accident! Definitely try out their spa facilities while you're there. Everything was designed beautifully and it was such a pretty hotel. I hope I get to come back : )

Not really me, but my mom was a bit confused on how the lighting in the rooms worked. Instead of having an individual switch for the lights, the hotel provided different scenes so it's a different set of lights that will open depending on the scene. I felt like this was a nice touch, though this might be harder to appreciate if you want things a certain way. Also the AC, like in most parts of Europe, isn't too strong. So I recommend cracking open the window for a cold breeze.

Really great location! Just a few minutes walk from the station - we saw quite a few other people walking uphill to their hotels so it was really nice to walk just a few mins and be there. Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean, we loved the fire in the evening. But the best part was the Spa - such a calming, wonderful space to relax in after a morning of hiking, or to sit in the sun after a busy day. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zermatt.

Great location. Close to train station. Great facilities at the hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was great lots of choice and great hot breakfast options. It’s has a very unusual style but we really loved it and would definitely go back. The facilities were also excellent I had a fabulous massage and the flotation cabin is an absolute must!! Thank you to all the staff they were so helpful and welcoming.

It was all amazing!

Awesome staff, great location, funky vibe, nice breakfast. We stayed in a loft suite with the bed up top and it was super cool sleeping up top and the kids loved the bunk beds.

Because of the room concept the bathroom was a little weird and not much privacy for families traveling with teens.

Location location location. The location. It’s perfect, 3 min from train station and 1 min from Main Street.

It’s a nice hotel, although if you are traveling with kids ( strollers) I think the room need a little bit more spacing because of decoration of the rooms. I found out the bed was not as comfortable as others hotels. Also, be aware that they will charge you 10 CHF if you don’t give back the room card. These was a surprise. I have travelled and been it plenty hotels and this never happened.

Location was perfect! Access to the spa facilites exceeding my expectations; loved the robe! Custom design of nearly all the furniture and building.

Service at breakfast could have been better. Written communication (through Booking.com) was in German language; it would have been easier for me if hotel and/or booking.com would have provided Engish translation since I made the booking on English site. All staff at reception spoke English perfectly.
