Peaceful, private. Perfect. This property was so much more than we expected. Spacious yet cosy and the beds were warm and comfy. A delicious cheeseboard on arrival was a lovely welcoming after a long journey. Breakfast supplies were plentiful and delicious and the location was perfect for sightseeing in the Devonport area. What a treat. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back. Thank you to the lovely owners for sharing this wonderful place. We couldn’t fault a thing. Oh and we loved the early morning visits from the resident peacock. 10 out of 10.

Great cottage - very comfortable and nicely appointed The breakfast provisions were excellent and the space suited us as a couple. Being dog friendly was the main reason we chose this venue and it was great. There was a small enclosure on the deck - our dog was too big to let off lead (he may have jumped the fence) but for a smaller dog it would be ideal

The BBQ facilities could have been a bit tidier - but we were still able to cook our dinner our there (saves the mess inside the kitchen)

Truly splendid, high quality, stand-alone, fully self contained cabin-like accommodation about 2km from town in a forest setting abounding in wildlife. We were welcomed on arrival and thanked on departure. We absolutely loved the pademelons wandering around, the ducks which marched by at dusk, the parrots in the tree, plus other tiny birds.

The WiFi did not connect to the internet, but that seems to be common with NBN in Tasmania. We used our own 4G modem which worked fine. Breakfast was a disappointment, no bread and limited, ordinary condiments. We do understand how difficult it is to provide breakfast provisions when you've got no idea what the customers like. It was easy to buy what we wanted at the nearby supermarkets. The provided cereals were good, and the bacon and eggs were great though.

The accommodation was excellent. It was very clean, neat and tidy, and very comfortable. The place is in a great location, private and secluded but within close proximity to the nearby town centres. We really enjoyed our stay.

It was great to have a full kitchen, but there were items missing that made it tricky to cook our evening meal (or perhaps we couldn't find them?), such as oven trays and oven dishes, salt and pepper (the shakers were there, but empty), and olive oil (or baking paper).

We loved the location and all the things that related to the roosters rest theme . The breakfast and fruit savoury tray was lovely . The cottage was beautiful and clean . It was very peaceful and quiet and we loved seeing the chickens ,geese ,ducks , peacocks etc . There was a fire pit and bbq that we didn’t use but were nice places to spend time outside the cottage . Lovely gardens and surrounds .

Face washers in the bathroom so you could use the liquid body wash supplied . Better information about accessing the wifi and which one to use as well as clarifying the password. A dishwasher and clothes dryer would also be excellent additions to the cottage .

The self contained accomodation was very inviting with lots of charm. The (self catered) breakfast was terrific, eggs, bacon, bread, muffins, cereals and more! Lovely quiet, private location but easy driving access to a beautiful part of Tasmania.

Wifi signal was weak so we could not use it. We were able to use our own telstra data but signal was ok, not great. Not really a problem but thats the only thing that didnt work so well.

The bigger cottage was absolutely beautiful. Warm and cozy, had everything you might need for a short or even longer stay. A peacock came to say hello on the veranda. The place is peaceful and private, very well maintained and just a short drive from the beach. Everything was clean and in perfect order, very generous breakfast provided. It feels like a 5 star resort hidden in the Tasmanian countryside.

Absolutely awesome house/cottage. Truly a home away from home. Big breakfast variety's,Bacon and eggs, home made bread and savorys,a decent 2ltr milk and juice as well. The creamed buns were an added bonus.👌 The family cottage was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely book here again and refer to friends and family.

The added extras like salt & pepper, OJ , sourdough bread , muffins, eggs & bacon & a large fresh milk ... it was a good thing we checked in prior to our visit to the supermarket

The outside light was on until 11pm & shone straight through the top window that then shone on the mirror in the the top bedroom section... maybe install a blind down the track if that is an option.

Magnificent peaceful stay! Lovely cottage, clean and modern. Beautiful and abundant ingredients provided for a delicious cooked breakfast (plus continental option). The only noises at night were the frogs (what a calming pleasure) and the only brief disturbance was the full moon shining down through the top window (soooo lovely)
