The owner Dehlia and her Mum Dilly were delightful. Location very good. Near the sea front and close to town. Bus service excellent and there was a stop close by. Definitely worth buying a five day explorer ticket which allowed us to travel on the buses, the horse tram, the electric train and the steam train. Also our National trust cards got us free entry into the castles, museums etc.
The weather but we did have some sunshine most days.

Delia is a fabulous host - friendly, welcoming, interested in guests wellbeing and flexible with any specific needs. Great communication, she messaged me to ask about breakfast preferences several days before I arrived and was totally fine with my request to check in early and check out late to fit with my flight times. She left the breakfast room open for me at dinnertime because as a solo traveller I might not want to eat alone in restaurants every night. This was her idea, much appreciated, and also helped with my budget for the trip. The facilities were superclean, warm, well furnished and the position of this property is fantastic for the seafront promenade, Manx Museum, and bus stops for going anywhere on the island. Absolutely great value for money and I would definitely return.
Nothing. It was all above expectations and perfect for my needs.

Really good location it’s close to both train stations and close to town center, just around the corner from the promenade. The host Lesley was exceptional, she couldn’t have done enough for me! If i didn’t want breakfast a packed lunch was organised which was very handy for travelling about during the day. I was always made feel very comfortable and looked after. We had a loads of chats throughout my stay too which i loved. Highly recommend especially if you are a woman travelling solo. The whole place was very clean and kept really tidy.

I had a fantastic stay here, Lesley was an absolute stay. I was out the door very early for work each morning so Lesley made me a packed lunch each day asIwasto early for Breakfast. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet, I was right up on the top floor at the back of the house. it would not suit someone that struggled to climb stairs.
The Wi-Fi on the very top floor did not work all the time, it was available on the lower floors but was intermitant on the top floor in room 10.

I actually stayed at their sister hotel, Trevalan, as a guest needed to stay longer due to injuries to their foot (?). The lift wasn't working, but other that, everything was great. I very much enjoyed the breakfast with sea views, and being able to have an actual bath. I also enjoyed the flowered wallpapers, and feminine touches throughout the hotel. The flowers outside are beautiful.
Lift wasn't working. Toilet seat was loose. I would still 100% recommend.

Christine was fantastic. Very friendly, welcoming, helpful and polite. She made my stay very pleasant. The room was brilliant. Very comfortable. The breakfast wasn't too bad. Lots of variety.
The only thing I didn't like was when I asked a member of staff (not Christine) if I could have a fresh towel, after being there for 3 days. I was told "It's not 5 star where you have a fresh towel everyday" but she did give me one. I wasn't keen on the plastic cheese being served but everything else was lovely.

Convenient location near the sea front and easy access for cafes/theatre. There was a good standard of cleanliness and the staff were friendly and obliging, letting us leave our bags there until we needed to catch the ferry. Bed was comfortable.
The shower didn't work particularly well, though that might have been to do with being on the top floor. Might have been nice to have more fresh fruit available for breakfast.

The continental breakfast was very good offering a good selection of food. There was a communal iron & board available, I didn't need to use it, but nice that it was there. The shower enclosure was a decent size and hot water whenever I used it. The towel was of a decent quality and changed mid week. The room & bathroom was serviced daily and kept clean.
The room was on the small size and awkward getting around the bed. Would have been nice to have some shower gel / hair shampoo and a better quality soap bar. A power socket on the wall next to the kettle would have been desirable.

The staff, location, and room were all of a good standard. The cleaning service was of a high standard. The bed linen and towels were clean and comfortable.
Having to traverse a flight of stairs to use the bathroom or shower was a little annoying but nothing too major most of the time. The breakfast was a little sparse, with many items running out and having to be requested for top-ups by around 8.40am.
